Review Woolworths - Pietermaritzburg

Had great service at the Cafe, great service at the perfume counters, very well stocked woolies in general and managemnet is present to assit their team. I was generally very impressed with how well they are coping and performing this festive season. Well done, it's a tough time of year for you, but you made it pleasant for your shoppers.

Well, I like this place. Why? Food, food and food. That and they always have clothes that are just my style. đŸ€·â€â™€ Is it a happy place? Yes. I am happy there's kombucha here today but I am anxious because there's no way they'll stock it consistently. đŸ˜©

Such a wonderful place! My daughter (8 weeks) and I stopped off for a quick bite to eat at the cafe and the manageress was a life saver! She found me a corner table to discreetly breastfeed and willingly held my little girl so that I could eat my lunch! I will be eating all future meals here after my experience today! Starting true to their motto: The Difference!👌

Very very helpful staff, good selection of bras (which is why I originally went in) The W Cafe caught my eye and was very inviting. The staff at the cafe were great, efficient and friendly. My burger was delicious, cooked to perfection. And the tea selection. While not broad, is very tasty

A clean store well set out. Be careful as to which day you go as shelves can be lacking in stock but I found what I needed and was happy. Staff at the tills are always pleasant.

I am again grateful for the food of this great supermarket.I am still standing Simphiwe, the lungs should not be higher than my officers because a man cannot stand on one leg, have they forgotten my officers? Tomorrow I will be in this store, I want them to open for me and I will wake up, eih!

Difficult to rate as the clothes store is 4-5 Stars while their Food store is a 3 Star as their selection is quite limited. Rather visit the Cascades Food store. They do have a very nice coffee shop which is worth visiting.

Midlands mall has always been convenient to go to and has had not so expensive stores that have been great to shop at.lately those are leaving and the mall is gaining more "boutique" sort of shops.disappointing to see only these type of new shops popping up that not everyone can afford.soon we won't be able to afford to shop there

Went into the family toilet on Monday and also the toilet near the clicks I have a daughter and it wasn't very clean. In the family toilet water is being wasted when the tap is opened in had walked in after a gentleman exited with his child and it was running continously for about four mins. ..

Unfortunately after reading other reviews and posting this on my personal page it seems to have happened to others and is not being addressed: Be aware that the bathrooms near the Woolworths side of Liberty Midlands Mall have no changing facilities for your baby. This was made rudely known to me when trying to improvise and make a plan with my 3 month old yesterday. I decided to use the wheelchair friendly bathroom, where no one was waiting, and decided to change my baby (who had had a poonami), on a changing mat on the floor when I was rudely told to ‘Get Out’, mid way through changing by a cleaning staff lady, or else she would call security and they would take matters further. So let’s get a few things straight: 1. I do not choose to kneel down and change my baby on a dirty floor, I would much prefer to change on a baby changing facility 2. There was no lock on the door, so whether I was a mom changing her baby’s happy, or a person on the toilet, there should have been no on barging into the toilet in the first place. My situation was luckily less embarrassing that a person wheelchair bound being on the toilet at the time and someone barging into the toilet 3. I understand that I should not be in the Wheel chair friendly toilet, but if NO facilities are provided and you have a desperate changing situation, a plan needs to be made 4. I was rudely told to Get Out, and to stop changing my baby’s nappy mid way through a change, with a baby screaming, by a fellow woman who did not assess the situation and try to suggest an alternative 5. I was told that I couldn’t put my nappy in the bin, as the bins don’t cater for nappies. Now I understand, but us moms usually place it in a bag so that it doesn’t smell. Also, what about the poor people who are disabled who do wear nappies, what happens to their nappies if there is no facility to place the nappy into? 6. I was then told that I would be reported to security - for changing my baby’s nappy! 7. I wasn’t given any grace in my situation, just rudely spoken to with no options. A change in scenario: 1. Fix the lock on the door 2. Make a desperate mother aware that unfortunately there are no changing facilities this side of the mall, but next time rather try to use the centre court facility 3. Possibly put a wall mounted changing station with a nappy bin in the woman’s bathroom 4. Provide a nappy bin in the wheelchair bathroom 5. Educate staff to assess the situation before being rude and arrogant This is not out of anger as it happened yesterday, but to hopefully help other mums in a similar situation, and hopefully get Liberty Midlands Mall to consider a changing station in all bathrooms.
