Review Saratoga Spur Steak Ranch - Parow

…This is our first visit to this Spur! We found it to be just as nice and easy going as our regular spot! Charmaine our waitress was pleasant and very friendly, she took good care of us while we dined here. We came for breakfast as it was a birthday 🎂 celebration! We had Large Cappuccino’s to kickstart our morning! We also ordered a Ranch-Full house with chips & wors, Chicken-Livers on toast served with a fried egg, hash brown & grated cheese 🧀 and an Unreal b-fast 2 x eggs 🍳, 2 x rashes of bacon 🥓 with toast! The food was fresh and delicious as always as can be expected from Spurs, our home away from home.., we enjoyed our time here and will return in the future…Byron the manager on duty popped by to say hi and to make sure we were happy 😃 and we were very happy 😊 ….

12 November normal service resumed. Service was great, food delivered on time and correctly. Thanks to Jerry and the team. We will be back 25 October We were to have a birthday party for my 7 yo grandson. He was devastated that the team did even get to sing to him The food was delivering in fits and starts 60 minutes after ordering.some of the food was cold, some not cooked and some not what was ordered. The waitron and the floor manager did not seem to know what to do. There was no supervision in the play area. need a minus review so regular customers can register their unhappiness. The neighbouring table had the same experience

Food was nice and tasty. They were very busy so we had to repeat our order a few times. Play area for kids in nice, with someone to watch over the kids. It is a very small Spur. Overall good experience.

Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff early in the morning. Went for breakfast. Stunning and fast service, food was great quality. Loved the breakfast menu. Go and enjoy a quick breakfast at an affordable price.

The meal was just about the best i have had from a Spur. The staff not so much unfortunately. I don't need to hear all the staff drama while sitting trying to have a good meal and yet that's what I got. Also once we had our first drink it didn't occur to our waitress to check if we wanted anything else while waiting for our food. Not the best service but the meal made up for it.

A typical Spur experience, food service, and atmosphere is what we South Africans have come to expect from this beloved South African institution. No complaints, I've also enjoyed watching the rugby ...

Food was delicious, so tasty specially the steak, our waitress was nice and friendly. And price was fair, Food took a little bit long to come even with a couple of customers, however we enjoy our meal :).

This particular Spur has one of the best waiters in the world employed in their team. This fella called Wayne always goes above and beyond in getting it right. He is quick, friendly and efficient. The food in Saratoga is also done properly every time and you get a great dining experience guaranteed.

Good Day, On Saturday 26 August 2017, I entered Spur Saratoga to have a coffee and breakfast while I waited for someone. I arrived just before 11, I entered the restaurant and was greeted with no one. I saw waiters hanging around and walking by, yet nobody came to assist me. The gentleman at the till point, was busy assisting a customer with payment, with another customer behind that one. As customer number 2's turn came up, I heard her telling this gentleman that she has been waiting to be seated for almost 30min. I was a bit appalled by this, but continued to wait to be seated, as I just wanted a simple coffee and breakfast while I waited for someone. Eventually after customer 2 left, I waited another 5 minutes before the gentleman even asked me if I have been helped. He then asked me to have a seat while i waited for the table I wanted in the smoking area to be cleared. Another long wait, I eventually got seated at 11:20. The waitress seated me at a still not 100% clean table with no menu, then she ran off. She came back at 11:30, and asked for an order. I asked for a latte and a menu, (as it was too late to have breakfast - cut off being 11) At 11:49 the gentleman from the till came by and asked if everything was okay. I informed him that I am waiting on a latte and a menu. He brought me a menu and went to check on our lattes. Our waitress came back saying that the latte will be brought out together with 5 other latte orders (yes I am going only 1 person, bring me my latte while you make 5 others), then she disappeared. She arrived back, still no lattes. I then called her as she passed by, to ask for a half portion of nachos. At this point I am not happy, because I've been there for an hour already and still has no beverage meal. At this point, the person I was meeting arrived. As we were chatting, my latte arrives. I took 1 long sip of my latte and it was finished,why?, because it was ice cold. I then asked the waiter to make my order of nachos a takeaway, as I had somewhere to be. At this point I actually felt like canceling my order. My takeaway came and I was ready to pay and leave (yes I was prepared to still pay for everything and not complain). The waitress explained that the takeaway might be messy as they had to transfer it from a plate to a takeaway box, because I changed my mind...for a second I pondered to myself; How do they make nachos for a takeaway? Does it not go on a plate first? Anyway...it was just a thought. I got to the till, no questions about the meal, I paid and left at about 12:45. 1 hour and 45 minutes in a restaurant, I had an "iced" latte, even though I wanted a warm one. And I could not even have something to eat. 1 hour and 45 minutes should surely be more than enough time to have a hot cup of coffee and half a portion of nachos, but not at Spur Saratoga. So I eventually get home at 2:30, and make time to sit down to eat...what do I find when I open my takeaway box? BURNT NACHOS!!!!! I was so upset, this is really unacceptable. You seriously need to look into the service you provide and equip your waiters with training on what to do when you seat a customer. I mean I should really have been seated with a menu. While I sat there waiting on my latte, I looked around, there where people who came in after me, they got seated with a menu, yet I had to wait for one. They eventually received their orders for buffalo wings and ribs, etc. Yet I still sat waiting for half a portion of nachos. I am a very disappointed customer. I should've refused to pay just based on the service I received. Now I feel like I should be refunded, because I received a bad meal as well, apart from the cold latte. Definitely not impressed.

Linda...I have no words for such a great waiter. His passion and dedication to treating customers with care and a welcoming attitude is out of this world ��� and this is not the first time he has done exceptionally well at serving us ������ #Linda for beat waiter of the year. We visit them on a regular basis and always ask for Patrick the waiter. What a great guy and always a smile on his face. Saratoga Spur is the best by far��

Unfortunately, I cannot be polite about the service which was received. Let me start by saying that our order was cold, the steak was small and looked like a dog just ate it, the burger roll was wet as if it was soaked in water and our service was just bad, completely bad. I wouldn't recommend this branch. Rather go to Spur in Voortrekker Road or somewhere else but avoid this one completely. My advice would be to give everyone there a mouth to talk to you and a pen and paper to write the orders down properly.<br/><br/>Worst of all was we tipped for service we didn't receive which I really find unacceptable. When we did pay, the cashier just looked at us, didn't ask how we would be paying, if we enjoyed the evening or anything.<br/><br/>Final word to sum up our evening, horrific!

As spurs go, this one has the same decor and ambiance but the wait staff were super friendly and eager to make sure we were happy. We went on the burger special Monday's a few weeks ago and though it was chaos, we still got served promptly and professionally. The burgers had the Spur quality and the milkshakes were a good idea to accompany the meal!

I'm not usually a fan of spur but this branch with their fast friendly service, reasonable pricing and mouthwatering steak....the secret is in the sauce 😉 delicious butternut, creamed spinach and onion rings on the side ...what more could you ask for? Thanks guys 👍🏻

The BEST Spur steakhouse in the country! I have personally worked here when I was younger and I can honestly say it's the cleanest of all the Spur branches and the service and food is of the highest quality and standard. Well done -keep it up!!

Popped in for the burger special for lunch. Finally efficient service! And that burger special remains a winner. The veg was not so great tho...very bland. But otherwise, a decent outing

I've been coming here ever since I was a small child with my parents and I can say that over the years the food and service has gotten better as they grew with technology's ever rapidly growing rate. Of all the spur's I've been to in South Africa I will say this one feels like home to me.
