First time visiting and we were thoroughly impressed. Front of house was friendly but the best part of the evening has to be our amazing waitress Akona, she had a table of 12 but not once did it look like she was fazed. She was helpful, friendly and with having to juggle12 different orders she still kept her welcoming smile. This has to be the best customer service ever. She is truly a gem!

Everything was great until they served me Malva Pudding. Are you guys for real. How tf is Malva pudding served with Ice Cream. It is basically a winter desert and is served with custard. Did your mother never make you this wonderful pudding. Really disappointed that you can't even serv malva pudding with custard. #pleaseupgrade

Great Spur. Relaxing. Friendly staff. Sausage was raw. Chicken was cooked before braaing but without salt, tasteless. Service quite slow.

Had the most lovely breakfast here. Spotlessly clean with service so good it could be in a fine dining restaurant. What a pleasure to be served by such a friendly and kind faces. The manager came by to check on everything and made us feel so special upon finding out it was our honeymoon. Our server, Nokubonga deserves a special mention because in the 3 weeks we've been in SA we haven't been served by someone so lovely and friendly as her. The food was delicious and came quickly and the price was incredibly reasonable. We will definitely be back. Couldn't recommend more.

The food is always good, and the value for money can't be beat. They have a wide variety on the menu... from fish to steak and everything in-between. The kids (1 &3 years old) enjoy the play area, and we can always have an eye on them to know they are safe. They can also "tag" your child so an alarm goes off if they leave the restaurant without you knowing.

Had a bad experience a few years ago with the food and manager who disagreed with me on my calamari that was not tough when i complaint when it was clearly over cooked she replaced my meal with a starter meal without my concent just to prove her point then it turns out that it was over cooked i walked out without eating my meal never went back... I visited spur for the first time in years ordered a 300g sirlon steak and the steak was cooked perfecty but was cold when i complaint about it the manager came i explained why i complained and why i returned the food... then he just did not heated up the steak for me he replaced it so that my steak wont be over cooked... This time i was amazed on the taste and the service i also asked for a hot plate instead and received my food in minutes... Well done

We had been before and really enjoyed it... last night however we were sadly dissapointed. With +- 10 tables in the restuarant between 19:30 and 22:00 last night there was no excuse for what we experienced... from having to ask for sideplates to eats our nachos (4 of us on 1 plate) to having to ask for knives and forks, watching our waiter head for what I presume a 'smoke break` as he was outside for roughly 15min after we had asked for another beverage, we then resorted to asking a trainee who brought us a single brandy but no coke, then having to explain to the waiter that we were waiting for the refill-he rather questioned the trainee and brought a coke eventually-no apology... we however let all this slide as we were enjoying our family time. The breaking point was after about four bites out of my boyfriend's T-bone we got a luring revolting smell, for us only to discover that it came from his T-bone! We asked our waiter to smell the meat and he first refused and after pursuation he agreed too-he pulled up his nose and said his taking it to the kitchen. The lovely Sipho came to apologise saying that the meat was deliver today (Wednesday) amd she would follow up with the suppliers and offered another steak which he declined as the 'vrot` smell lingered. This was removed from the bill and his details were taken. My poor boyfriend spent the night in the bathroom as his stomach was killing him. I called this morning (Thursday) and was assisted my Peter/Pieter....WOW! I was told a doctor must first diagnose if the steak made him I'll as we cannot make as if it was the steak. Bear in mind that Sipho disclosed that the meat was rotten. In a very irritated tone I was told they have the best meat supplier and that his steaks were deliver on Monday (the inconsistancy) and that there was nothing wrong with it. I then said that I do not doubt his supplier but then poor health and safety measurements are being practised BOH and I was then told he couldn't hear me and will ring me back to speak to me.... I am still waiting. Poor poor management skills-a person would think more concern would be shown towards a customer whom was ill from dining at a restuarant. We will never return and I think a health inspector needs to go do quality control at Red mountain spur.

I was at Red Mountain Spur on Sunday,,Asked the waitress for a jug of coffee please..I am sorry we don't do jugs, she laughed at my husband and me. Then my husband ordered the Mexican burger, that was great, thanks. I asked for Half chicken and onion rings,,I got the smallest and very dry , no moist chicken, it was not cooked on the grill. it was cooked some other method and then basted with peri peri, but come on, that chicken was tiny,,so disappointed,,when you go for a meal and it is not satisfactory..my husband would not let me complain we will rather visit somewhere else..

They served me the saddest toasted sandwich ever today. The cheese was folded into the middle of the sandwich, tomatoes so thickly cut that it was impossible to eat. The manager tried to rectify the situation by making me a fresh toast, but sadly, the damage was done. I’ll be hesitant to visit them again.

OMW... today we got the worst treatment I've ever experienced at any restaurant... the Manager, Pieter, was the worst 😑 He honestly just displayed no management or hospitality skills whatso ever... bad attitude & sarcasm but no people skills! Never again...
