Review The Hussar Grill Paarl - Paarl

A lovely venue and perfect for a valentines date. The staff were fast, efficient and friendly. The service was quick, and the food was really great. It was served hot and fresh. We were greeted with a free drink and garlic pizza. The price was fair. The only complaint I do have is that sitting on the "outside", there was a table to our right who were vaping. As a non smoker it wasn't nice, even though they didn't do it the whole time. Well done to the owners and managers

WOW! What a totally wonderful experience!! Sumptuous food, delectable wines served in a beautiful but unpretentious restaurant with spectacular views. Wonderfully efficient and attentive staff. A GREAT outing!!

Had a delightful time at this estate on our quest for the perfect Pinotage. When we told the young man who organized our wine tasting that we thought we'd found our favourite at a previous farm he went all out to prove us wrong! Knowledgeable and charming he convinced us to leave there with a few bottles. We had lunch on the terrace overlooking the vineyard, the pizzas were excellent and service was too. A most pleasant visit.

Award wining wines and a must do on your tour through the Winelands. The tasting is well worth it and the wines are very enjoyable. Stunning wines at Beyerskloof which is truely the home of pinotage (the „Synergy“ and the „Traildust were our favorites) and beside that creates an amazing Cabernet Sauvignon („Eerste Ry Cab Sav from 2019 is worth a few bottles at home :-)) and also fantastic and fruity Chenin Blanc/Pinotage. We had a tasting of option 1 and 2 and lunch in the restaurant with a view over the lands into the maintains. We got to meet the winemaker - Anri Truter - which was definitely a special treat.

My wife loves the wine, and I love the food at the bistro! Amazing views out and very peaceful setting. Great spot for lunch!

Very friendly staff. My Alfredo pizza was very tasty and the cheese cake was so delicious. Our other guest thoroughly enjoyed their meal too. A good selection of coffee and soft beverages to choose from. It's so worth the visit, lovely atmosphere with beautiful views.

Amazing wines and beautiful views. The tasting is well worth it and the wines really are enjoyable. We had lunch in the bistro, the food was great and the service was attentive. Definitely a good option.

Sakkie was the best. He taught us so much about the history of Beyerskloof and the Pinotage. Wonderful place to visit.

What a fantastic experience. Staff are incredibly knowledgeable and certainly know their wines. It's in a beautiful setting and views of the valley and mountains are so beautiful. Pricing of wines is reasonably good.

2023 Pinotage Day was absolutely unforgettable. We had an absolute blast. The vibe was amazing, the music superb, all the entertaining games really hit the right mark, the food was spectacular and most of all, the wine…… We had a wonderful, wonderful time – thank you so much to Lizette Silver (Tasting Room Manager) for making us feel so welcome and for all your efforts to create such a stunning event We will definitely be back again next year!

Went to the restaurant and it was amazing. Food was prepared with love. I obviously had to get myself a burger, juicy and delicious. Also had South Africa's finest baked cheesecake. This is certainly one of my top spots.

What a beautiful estate! We felt welcomed from the minute we stepped in. The Pinotage Reserve is one of the best I've ever tasted. The lady serving us was very knowledgeable. You had a choice of doing the tasting indoors or outdoors. The tasting room although very beautiful we opted to do the tasting outside. If you like Pinotage you definitely need to visit. Will be back.

Wow what an amazing place. The food was great and I loved the bugers. Nice surprise that you get a garlic "pizza" as a bite to eat. Great service and views to match. Not a huge selection but what is on the menu is well prepaired and served. 5 stars!

This is with out a doubt THE best Pinotage in the world I've had some great wines in my life BUT this is extraordinary dare I say life changing. Keep on doing what you are doing, you are inspiring and motivating slot of wine farmers like myself to protect our industry.

Hussar grill has always been one of our first choices of restaurants in paarl. Courtney has always gone out of her way to print pictures for my girls to colour in. It's has been named by them as "our spot". The steaks are Devine, staff always willing to go the extra mile for us and we Just love the atmosphere. Every Client I have had, that has taken me up on my suggestion of dinning at Hassar grill has always come back and applauded the food, wine and service. Thank you Hassar. We will be going back time and time again.

We had the best Hollandse Biefstuk, it was an amazing 300g of fillet flambéed to perfection! My husband would have loved more fries. My baby potatoes were more than enough. I asked for only spinach and that was a nice portion. Thank you for a memorable birthday dinner :)

Excellent ambience and great service from the minute you walk through the door. Robin, our waitress made sure that we lacked nothing. The steak was done superbly, the way I like it. Unfortunately the lamb neck was not that great but overall a very good experience. Desert was scrumptious. Definitely value for money. Worth a return visit.

Decided to grab some lunch at The Hussar Grill Paarl on Saturday... and the short of it, the service was great and food was delicious! Our steaks were done to perfection! Will definitely be back when we are in the area!

Outstanding meal and service at this restaurant. We had a problem with the ribs that we ordered and it was immediately rectified and replaced . Great attention from the service staff and management and lovely ambience. Highly recommended!
