Food was superb! Would be nice if they had aromat for seasoning. Rolls a but smaller than you'd expect. Collen was our waiter. Pretty chilled and nice guy. Would recommend the place for a nice chat with friends. The manager (Thuli) kept checking in on us and that was absolutely great.

I was impressed by the standard at Ocean Basket Newcastle. I am used to Ocean Basket in Cape Town where the standard is very high. I enjoyed the food, and the service. Gina was attentive in the right amount and I am impressed with her Zulu. She gave great service.

Excellent food but the service could improve.

I love this place for any special day. The atmosphere is very good. My children enjoy being there. Recently i celebrated my birthday there. The staffs are very nice.

This restaurant is a great place to work and also to just have fun. The service is amazing and the food!!! My word the food was amazing and just out of this world, I'm definitely doing going back again.

Our waiter Gina was excellent and very tentative. Food was delicious and good atmosphere. Best ocean basket!

Brilliant food and service. They took careful measures when it came to applying their COVID19 policy, and still managed to make our experience a comfortable and fun one. Thank you to our waiter, JB for being friendly and efficient. Newcastle's OB seems to be consistent in its wonderful service and delicious meals.

I'm generally not a seafood person but I had a good experience at ocean basket. The prawns and oysters were amazing! And I had nice sushi for the first time ever 😋
