Absolutely loved spending the day here. It's pram and child friendly! Definitely would recommend going there as soon as they open and spending the entire day here. Walking to the cascades was so easy with a baby. They have a beautiful rainforest and garden walk with a fun play area for kids. Appreciated how well maintained the place is, keep it up!!πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ’–

The best place to go for a mental break, the fauna and flora is amazing, the waterfalls create an amazing oasis that makes one want to whip up their yoga mat and start meditating πŸ§˜πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ. Highly recommended if you want to escape the bustle of the city and get lost in your solitude.

I love the stillness of the place, we were fortunate to find a shopping cart by the gate which helped with loading picnic things. I'd suggest they look into a service of that kind where we rent wheelies to carry picnic stuff as the walk to the grass is a bit far. Overall great service with a great jungle gym for the kiddies.

To be honest. I have been meaning to visit The Botanical Garden for a recent number of years now. To my luck, I've been able to not only visit the Gardens. But even more so, I got to attend an equal event I've been meaning to experience for a number of years (Corona Sunset Tour) Both experiences were lovely & I believe I showed up accordingly as well... Now I can make bookings confidently for future reference.

This time around I decided to visit the restaurant to try out a different menu and being the foodie that I am , I was quite impressed πŸ˜‹ πŸ‘Œ. The ribs were juicy and the rice was just as tasty. Unfortunately, the chakalaka was too spicy for my own liking . The prices are relatively reasonable as well.

Beautiful views. I had a photoshoot with a client during the week, it was peaceful and we enjoyed it.

This place is absolutely amazing!! The range of plant life is beyond imagining, all thriving in a spectacular natural setting with rivers and waterfalls. The signs and educational displays are very helpful; the paths are well-groomed and enticing, and all-in-all it is a perfect place to spend a few hours. If I lived in the area, I would visit many times a year.

Well established gardens and amazing waterfall. The kids really enjoyed the labyrinth and play area. Pity that the pedestrian bridge was washed away.

It's one of the most beautiful botanic gardens I've ever visited. The views, the kids playground, the gardens, the waterfall and different plants to see, it's just breathtaking. I suggest you challenge yourself and do the hike early in the morning πŸ™‚

One of the best Botanical gardens in the country and a real gem in Mbombela. There is just so much to see and the gardens are well curated and taken care of. There are restaurants and also many spots to stop and picnic. The place has great signage and this combined with the maps ensures you always have an idea where you are. My favourite was the African rainforest, the suspension bridge and the very powerful waterfalls.

Beautiful and very extensive botanical garden representing many different biomes. Safe parking on site. Board walk through the tree tops. Suspense bridge over the beautiful river. Amazingly beautiful water falls. Hikes that make you feel as if you wer right in the bush. Restaurant and coffee shop. And you can come and have your little event here as well - just bring your own chairs and pay the entrance fee of R50 per adult.

As far as national botanical gardens go, this is probably one of the best in SA. WONDERFUL play area for the kids, with shaded benches nearby. Pathways are abundant, with stunning views. Upon entering the park (at the kiosk) you should ask about the river walk - it is required to let them know if you do take the short hike for safety reasons. The raised walkway through the forest and across the river is an awesome experience for adults and kids alike. Be weary of some of the walkways in shady areas - they do tend to be a bit slippery, especially when wet. Flora is diverse and lush, even in winter! Varieties and examples from all over africa. Well tended gardens and lawns. Loads of insects and birds to see (especially sunbirds). Grounds keepers are friendly and do a stellar job of ensuring a litter free area - please do the same.

The best gardens in South Africa? Just love these gardens in Mbombela and they are always a real treat to visit. Tropical / sub tropical plants and superb water falls / rapids. We really love our visits to this place.

Spent the morning here and had great time. The river was flowing very fast so the falls were beautiful. The restaurant at the entrance looked very smart, unfortunately we didn't have time to try it. Go early as it gets hot
