Lovely food. Two managers came around to check if everything was ok. When my son's food took a bit long they brought him a small plate of chips as a "starter ". This was without us even mentioning anything or complaining. I am so happy to see that they are also not using any plastuc straws. Will definitely go back.

Very friendly staff. The manager comes around often to check on all the tables. The food is high quality and the sushi is amazing. There are many families here with small children who play at the play den but it has a nice vibe for young and old.
John Dorys has always been particularly popular for their fish. Their seafood is also good and this family restaurant has been around for a good while. Ordered their stuffed Calamari and absolutely loved it. Big smiles! :)
Very tasty food and excellent bar one chocolate milkshakes. A special thank you to Kimberly who gave excellent service and made the best milkshake I tasted in a while.
Vinny our waiter was very good and helpful and prompt. The food was delicious, we ordered prawn and sushi. Definitely would want to come back.

Mayibangwe was our waitress. She was polite and easy going. She checked up on us and when we needed her service! I definitely recommend requesting her as your waitress as you won't regret it!
For no particular reason, I have not been to a John Dory's for years. I tried this branch at Cradlestone , I was blown away.
I ordered a takeaway Hake and chips, while waiting I was given a complimentary cold drink, and had a pleasant chat with the gent who took my order at the door. The food was amazing, the bater on the fish was crisp and not oily, and the fish was fresh and soft. The chips crispy and fluffy on the inside .... Thank you Ladies and Gents ... really great !!!!

In honour of my dad, who would have turned 70 today we went to John Dorys. Our waiter Eugene was polite, respectful and informative. 10/10
The food is done freshly and takes a while but everything was done exactly as requested so another 10/10.
Sushi was fresh and beautifully balanced and tasty.
My mom had Hake and chips and had a side request which was done without any complaints or problems.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Definitely a return spot and future visits.
Wow amazing food. First time I get to a restaurant and the picture in the menu is not even close to to food you receive. It was allot better served than the picture on the menu.

Went out for a family celebration we didn’t have the best of experiences but even with that there were still great points to highlight the young man who was attending to our table Tshepo hopefully a lot of care and guidance will be awarded to this chap as he has so much potential he was very empathetic and truly tried his best.. Rudi( Senior Management )also needs a mention for the care he showed in responding to my frustrations with the team all in all great restaurant and deserves a try…
Good evening we real had a nice time at John Dorys cradles tone, amazing food everything up to standard. The manager Lungelo was great he made sure we leave your bussness happy, we will be back at your branch, waiter Thandeka was also great

Wanted sushi and decided on John Dorys. Our waiter/supervisor Lungelo was superb. So attentive on the ball and friendly. Great upselling. I come from the industry so I do appreciate the service immensely. Have to go far these days for good service. Ten out of ten on all aspects guys.Yum Yum Yum!
The service was absolutely lovely, never had a problem with our waitress kim.
The food was absolutely devine, especially the tar tar sauce.
The place is fit for families, and they have a small playground for children.
They have a sushi bar.
I would definitely recommend this place ,if ones in the mood for of seafood delight.
It was great visiting John Dory again. The food service and food was of great and standards and really friendly staff.
It was a incredible and very enjoyable evening. The food was terrific and the atmosphere was great. Our waiter Brian was very kind and fast with our orders. Brian had a smile from that we walked in and out and was very friendly. Would highly recommend this place for a perfect date night.
Samu was super friendly, fast & helpful. The fish was delicious, the prawns ok, mussels & calamari 10/10. We enjoyed our meal thoroughly.

To the Owner and management
On my return with friends to give them the same great experience, it didn't go so well, staff was friendly and service good,
We were a table of 8 people this time, restaurant not busy at the time.
The food was colder and not warm enough, hence my fish was soggy and oily, the actual problem was with the prawns, they were pass tiny and definitely not what I had here before or at Cresta, the manager said this was standard, I don't believe this and would recommend you look into this.
The Manager did make up with 1 milkshake.
Unfortunately I am dropping 1 star, but still the meals and service was good, will see you soon.

I had the privilege to to visit Cradlestone John Dorys with my family this week and Cresta earlier in the week too with mates, two places both with great service.
I only have good feedback for this franchise seafood restaurant, they have definitely stepped up since my last visit, you are now my favorite seafood restaurant!!!
We stepped in and was made welcome by all the friendly staff, the restaurant was clean and neat with all covid protocols in place.
The food was well prepared and we all enjoyed our meals.
Thank you for the good time, food and reasonable prices, your competitors will need to catch up.
Lastly to the waitor Justice, you stepped up and gave good service, beyond what is expected, thank you!!!
