Review Pitstop Diner - Muldersdrift

Had a Pitstop on our way home today. Stoped in for a quick bite to eat, ended up staying quite some time. Had an enjoyable afternoon. Thommas whom I think was the manager came to see us a couple of times to make sure we were having a good time. Food was good, portion size was great. Met the owner Huran (spelling) very friendly staff. Showed us the plans for this place and I am sure in the future this will be a trendy place to meet. Has a nice rustic vibe. We will surely be back. P.s. have to try the homemade chilly sause. To die for. Thank you guys for making it a memorable experience.

It was a lovely place... Great reception and waiting was not long at all. Their Ox tail poitjie was both satisfying as well as magnificent. Had really rich flavours. The meat just melted in your mouth as you but into it.

Awesome spot, new Menu now with plenty of great new items. Try the Blondie burger special only if you are very hungry, unbelievably good quality I must say, probably JHB's best deal for 2 massive burgers and 2 beers for R225.

What a gem! Atmosphere is relaxed, food is tasty and value for money, owner is always friendly. Kids love exploring the yard with the interesting and antique decor. Fast becoming a Sunday favourite for our family. Do yourself a favour and order the kebab or lafa when you do visit! Yum!

On our way to collecting an order for our client - we decided to check out ' Pitstop'!! They have awesome chips - its a real 'bikers' hide away I would say but the staff was nice, the manager came and chatted with us and let's not forget - The Best Chilli as well OMG!! They also retail it so we definitely bought a jar and will be back for more! Apparently a very awesome act ( Mr Elvis) will be back soonest so can't wait to check him out!

Great hamburgers for very decent price. The beer glasses were kept in the freezer. To this day the best beer I ever had because of those glasses...

Sunday was quiet, but food was great. The singer ( a friend of mine) was good. They dont sell quarts of beer, only pints but I think we will handle that . Generally nice afternoon, will go again.

We normally have good food and good service there but yesterday they dropped the ball big time. When the order was being taken I could already see she was dazed and confused. My partner is still waiting for his burger. We never got knives and forks and asked three times over 45 minutes for our drinks. Yeah I know, we all have a bad day, I just think the owner could have come over to apologize, or even the woman that screwed up. There was zero accountability and that's why it will be a very very long time if ever that I go back again.

Have lunched and partied at Pitstop several times and loved it, although service has never been great. However the past Sunday whilst lunching with 11 friends the experience was so embarrassing, service was shocking, must be new management because it was abominable, food was dreadfull, deteriotation was very obvious with the lack of diners.Pity though,but wont be returning.

So I wanted to come here tonight as this is one of my favourite burger places yet when I got there I was told to go away. I then said to the guy at the gate that they are advertised as closing at 10 and I was just showing him the times on my phone and I was then yelled at by the owner And told to get off the property and to never come back and this is exactly what I will be doing. You have lost me as a customer and I will be telling everyone I know to stay far away from this place. Well done

one of the best relaxing diner on a sunday love it

We had chips and did a shoot and when we got back to eat they took the chips back !!* I won't go back at all and won't tell any one to go back as well the floor manager also had a huge attitude.<br/><br/><br/>Okay so I decided to try it a second time ... They have lovely schwarma but okay that's it !!* They are not great on drinks !!*

Went in a large group for a girls day out. We sat outside under a gazebo, which was nice and private. The place is chock-full of rustic nick-nacks and vintage doo-dads, great for impromptu photo-shoots. The clientele seems to vary from bikers to oumas, so its quite versatile! We even had 'mini' Elvis come and take a picture with us, too cute! :) <br/>The food portions are very generous and the prices cheap! It's a typical no frills no fuss diner. Chicken shwarma was good and breakfast was satisfying. Service was slow but very friendly.

Went there for dinner with my family and placed our order.<br/>When we did not receive what we had ordered we sent the meal back. This did not sit well with whom we know as the owner of the restaurant and he became extremely rude towards us. He would not listen no matter how we tried to explain to him that what we ordered is not what we received. Eventually we gave up and left and whilst walking out he became even more rude, even resorting to shouting at us and for some reason bringing his religion into it.<br/><br/>Disgusting behaviour by the owner. Will never go there again.

Okie doks .... if you wanna be totally chilled / love any music from the 60's to 90's / love that whole rustig American Diner feel and love Elvis ....... then welcome to Pitstop. Elvis is alive and well and visits there often lol. They have really awesome hearty food and the swarma's are to die for. Do yourself a favour and take a load off there.

For the past 5 years we've driven past this little diner ... and only noticed it on Sunday.<br/><br/>Today we stopped there for lunch.  Decor outside is rustic and rusty (literally:  old cars with rusty bodies). <br/><br/>Decor inside is great!  Your eyes swivel from wall to wall ... the torn upholstered couches look supremely comfy and you just want to flop in it.  Material-upholstered chairs next to a loooong table is quirky and fun.<br/><br/>Service is good.  Although it was very quiet, so the waiter was also the barman and part-chef.  The menu is small enough to choose easily but big enough to have a good choice.<br/><br/>My coffee milkshake was big, yummy and topped with whipped cream.  Hein's beer was served with a frosty glass beer mug.<br/><br/>I had the Diner Crumbed Chicken Burger with fries.  Wow!  Taste is really good and for R35, what a pleasure!  Chips are really good .. in-between crispy and 'slap'.<br/><br/>Hein had the Giant Cheese Burger and it was Giant!  Was very impressed with the big bun.  I had a taste and the patty was flavoursome and good.<br/><br/>Their chilli sauce is ordered in 25 liter cans ... it tasted almost like a chakalaka ... not too hot, stains your fingers and serviettes but really good.<br/><br/>A nice chill-out place with good food.

Very interesting American style diner to visit.Lots of old, mostly American memorabilia to look at.Huge hamburgers, foot longs and homemade chips with chili sauce to savour.Live music on Sunday afternoon.Well worth a visit on the way to Magaliesburg
