Review Easy Tiger - Muizenberg

K B (Sundays River Adventures)
Food is excellent Burger with truffle infused mushroom sauce is exceptional! Tomato and lettuce were fresh, chips hot and crispy. 8:10pm Monday night. Cool drinks cold. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for being awesome. :)

Easy relaxing vibe. New, airy atmosphere make this an ideal casual dinner stop. The Chips are special! Good clean fun!

Oh my! This is the nicest surf bar I've ever visited. The reggae vibe is awesome, the staff are super friendly and the food oh-so-yummy. Definitely worth visiting when in Muizenberg.

The burger was really good and the view is excellent. The fact that you have to order your fries separately does certainly make customers annoyed.....a burger place where your meal comes without fries? But other than that I couldn't fault the place. Also enjoyed their craft beer.

Wow. Now that's what I call a burger. Tasty and meaty... The way it's meant to be. Philly Chicken was fabulous too.
Lance Witten
Really great burgers, fresh, meaty, juicy, flavourful. The chips are the bomb! Skin on skinny cut, seasoned just right and fried to perfection. Really quick, friendly service. Will definitely return

Enjoyable food and service. Music was relaxing and in line with the atmosphere this morning!
Matt de Neef
Great gourmet burgers with excellent chips! Cool vibe on surfer's corner for a bite.

The food at Easy Tiger is superb. The service is top notch. The overall atmosphere is amazing. Definitely full marks all around. I would recommend that if you're Muizenberg beachfront make a stop by. You won't be disappointed.

Pretty good food, a little bit bland. The prices are alright, not too incredibly high. Their specials are pretty good. A recommended place to go if you're spending a day at the beach or you've just finished surfing.
Steve Lipp
Easy service, delicious burgers at a decent price and free wifi!

This is the first time we have eaten there and in all honesty we will never go back, the concept is a good idea. It unfortunately fails miserably in execution, both our burgers were burnt and flavorless and the chips tasted old and chewy.

Unfortunate but it's a reality that we would not recommend spending any money there as it's not worth it.
We’ve been to Easy Tiger on 3 occasions since December ‘17 for a quick bite after surfing, and sadly it was 3 strikes and you are out for me.

Although the concept of good simple and fast food (and a beer special) at pocket friendly prices is appealing, this is not exactly what you get.

In stark contrast to the team at Tigers Milk down the beachfront, the staff eat Easy Tiger really do not seem happy to be there, ever, and this is evident in the lackluster approach to client service. The turnover of customers is fairly fast, but knowing this, I would expect a bit more attention to cleanliness and re-stocking of cutlery trays.

The food is average and on one occasion even sloppily “thrown together”. Making a simple but descent burger is not too hard, in fact, with just about everyone in Cape Town serving up a burger of some sort these days, attention to service, cleanliness and presentation would not go amiss.

I hope for their sake, and ours as customers that they can turn it around. As for our group of friends, we might give it a skip for a while before attempting again.

Thought I was gonna get a nice diner style proper burger. Got some slap dash basic burger. Go to Wimpy if you want better food, This was lame.

Easy Tiger is completely underrated. A lot of people like to think about Easy Tiger as a sad off shoot of the much bigger Tiger's Milk. But that misses the point completely. Easy Tiger is a great way to finish off a perfect beach day with a good burger and a drink with friends. You feel completely comfortable here whether you're drying off from a day of surfing or kicking sand out from your toes.
There is no need to be anything other than what you are at Easy Tiger, and that plus the mind blowing burgers (my friends insist it's the closest thing to a Krabby Patty) make this a must visit.

Easy Tiger is in a great location with good views of the beach. Sadly, these are it's only good qualities.
Despite it being a Saturday evening with wonderful weather and area bustling with potential diners, the restaurant was almost empty (strangely their sister restaurant, Tiger's Milk, was packed with a queue halfway down the steps). Now I know why.
The staff were not welcoming or helpful. We had to alter our order twice due to out of stock items. The tables were dirty.
The food didn't take long to arrive, but we had to search for cutlery as most of the cutlery boxes were empty.
The food was somewhat okay, but nothing to rave about. Cheese fries were a mix of burnt and under cooked. Burgers were average.
The menu is pricey, especially the sides, considering what you get.
Popped in at 9 on Saturday after checking that they are open until 11pm. They Guy at the till who takes the orders was useless at service. Out of mushrooms so there went two thirds of the menu... no veggie burgers so there went one third of our order. It felt like the last thing they wanted to do was to have to serve food to anybody... NOT IMPRESSED. Chose to leave it at that.
Have had burgers there a week ago and was impressed enough to go back. Not to sure if it will be worth bothering again.

Interesting burgers. Pity side dishes a little pricey. Prices need to be reinvestigated and made a little relistic for the local population.

Really slow service and the restaurant was untidy and table grubby. The triple bypass burger my partner had was okay but nothing special and I had the sticky wings served with blue cheese sauce but didn't get the blue cheese sauce. The staff told me that you only get the sauce if you order the spicy wings, but that is not what the menu says and there is no price difference.

This is my usual spot for a quick burger. The staff are friendly and the food is always perfect. At times they have too much sauce on the burger but it makes your burger more enjoyable. The fries are amazing but only come in two sizes, medium, which is a small and large.

Good spot to grab a couple quick burgers on the boardwalk. Bar One milkshake was great, but found the burgers a little bland for a place specializing in them. Cheesy chips were undercooked, and staff were a little scarce, but location and view made for a pleasant enough experience.
Lily Allen
They don't serve coffee which I found disappointing, as it's on the beach front it will have no appeal during cold winter months. Burgers and fries are priced seperately. Just not my kinda place.
Jessica Jeftha
Such good views and fries. However, my burger (the Stepchild) and my friend's burger (the Triple bypass) was super dry and the rolls were stale! When I placed my order I asked the cashier which flavour shakes they had, her reply: 'We don't do milkshakes anymore' but as I was leaving I saw them mixing shakes. I wouldn't recommend this establishment.

Our 'tourist in our own town' vacation introduced us to many new and interesting places. This was one of them. Although it was late (ours was the last order) and the staff looked exhausted, we we given good service and a memorable taste experience.

G had the Stepchild Burger (no frills) R50 and I had Chilli Poppers R60. The poppers were fine (nice and crispy on the outside, good size) but that burger pattie really tasted great. Would love to come back to try his brothers and sisters!

Great location, funky decor, fast and easy service, delicious fries...but I found my burger a bit bland and tasteless. The patty is good but unseasoned, the guacamole was very tart, and the truffle mushroom sauce didn't quite pack the expected punch. Not sure I would return given the plethora of burger joints in the city.

I have recently tried a new pescatarian lifestyle (no meat besides fish) and obviously it lends itself towards more vegetarian type meals. It's so hard to find restaurants that offer great tasting vegetarian meals as for most places it's just and after thought. At Easy Tiger and Tiger's Milk however I think I have found my favourite vegetarian burger ever! The Tree Hugger is amazing! so bold in flavour and definitely fills you up. I love the hints of truffle in the mushroom sauce which perfectly compliments the aubergine "patty". It's a must try even for meat eaters, you won't be disappointed!
Julie Geldart
Such delicious burgers! The patties are a good size and the mushroom sauce is scrumptious. The service is quick and friendly, especially when we've had complicated orders. Their Oreo milkshakes are some of the best I've ever tasted
The Authentic Girl
Unfortunately my partner and I had a terrible experience at Easy Tiger in Muizenberg. The fries were cold (who likes cold fries anyway?), the burger was average and some items were not available on the menu. The service was not great as our waitron disappeared after he took our order.

What a nice place! Easy Tiger has a great chilled beachy vibe. The decor is great. I was here with my friend and I ordered the Magic Mushroom and my friend had the Stepchild. The burgers were tasty but something was missing, its like they weren't seasoned properly. Our waiter Sipho was very friendly and we got great service from him. Will definitely be back for the milkshakes on a hot summer's day.

This place is great with friends after spending a day at the beach.

Best money I spent ever on a burger, a burger not to forget, will be back for more the wait was worth it. Staff were friendly and the vibe was relaxing.

Ordinary service and an average food summed up my experience for this place. I heard rave reviews about this place but was genuinely disappointed.

Awesome burgers, great service, clean and tidy but comfy. Music selection of 80's great, singing along on a Sunday morning ! We will be back

Shiara Pillay
Our burger patties were juicy and flavour-filled! The milkshakes(we had the coconut and the oreo flavours) we absolutely perfect. Such a great place for a dinner along the beach.

Went to this restaurant on an impulse. Best Decision Ever! Their burgers are amazing and their prices are great. The food came in less than 15 minutes. I had a great time. Will definitely be back soon.
Jamie Jacobs
Delicious burgers and quick and easy to order! Food was served in no time and waiters were friendly. Did not have the vibe of Tiger's Milk when I tried it out but probably because we ate quite early and it was recently opened then. Other than that a great overall experience, would definitely recommend for a burger on the go as they do takeaways too.

Rustic fun and down to earth decor which I love.
Small menu which makes the decisions easy. Burgers do not automatically come with chips - you order them separately. You are able to have a bunless burger or a gluten free burger which is a bonus for those Banting. The burgers were over cooked which was a pity but still tasty - nothing super exciting. I really liked their mushroom sauce - yum.

Moved my sister into a place in Muizenberg and we were early. And hungry. So we came here (fishbowl in tow) for lunch. The waiter was such a sweetie. He didn't mind we had two fish joining us for burgers.
We each ordered something different- my sister is a veg and loved the Magic Mushroom, I had the Rockstar which was great and my dad had the 3 Cheese one.
Chips come separate but we shared a medium one between 3 of us and it was enough. Also, tasty.

All were fantastic: fresh buns, tender patties and really high quality toppings much like what you would expect from Royale on Long.

Love:
-La Vie water :)
- Their secret sauce is different but great. Not too thick or runny.
- Great service and atmosphere
- Of course, awesome seaside views

The only downside is no coffee but hey, it's a burger bar and Vida is next door :)
Now sister is a local, will definitely know where to go when a burger craving hits and would love to try other things on the menu.

Lovely burgers, awesome views overlooking the Muizenberg coastline . Love the fact you able to order individual sides according to your taste and budget as well as doing banting friendly burgers.

Recommended if you in the mood for a tasty burger...
Jeanette Verster
The big cheese burger is awesome with the cheese sauce and the cheese slice!
Loved the large chips we shared too.
Service is amazing considering there was only one person manning the counter and serving.
