Beautiful, rustic setting. The coffee shop has limited options, but everything is fresh and tasty, the coffee was really good. It is fully halaal.
There are loads of play areas for the kids. Also a play venue that can we rented for parties. This place is such an amazing initiative and definitely needs more support from the community at large.
Lovely little spot for a quick stop for the kids to have a horse ride.. had a bit of a wait, but kids loved it none the less
Five stars for a great kid-friendly place. We had coffee and toasties alfresco in the garden area outside the coffeeshop. There were little ones playing along with a host of chickens sharing the space. The waiter was friendly and helpful and overall it's a lovely hidden gem.
Nicely controlled and safe environment
The village needs a few upgrades like landscaped gardens and more rides in the recreational area and more businesses to operate catering for wider audiences other than that it has a great village feel to it.
No one expect this oasis in the middle of suburbs. There is a diverse array of activities, businesses, local schools and community programmes. Oude Moulen is well know for the horses. Horse riding is offered as well as lessons. It's worth a drive through
We visited the Eco Village on a outing with my 5 year old daughter's school. I didn't have enough time to have a look at everything because we got stuck at the coffee shop with their amazing coffee, but we're already planning to go back and to take my son horse riding.
It is an amazing place i took my daughter there last year to go for the horse riding and she loved it so much that I took her again, they also have a pool, a restaurant and a play area for the toddlers in my opinion this is an amazing place, I really enjoyed it😁

All the visitors I have spoken to say Oude Molen Eco Village offers amazing tranquility, a refuge and escape from the business of life and the city.
It has tremendous potential, in terms of its location and the social and recreational activities being offered, to connect the city and outlying communities and contribute towards social cohesion and cross cultural interaction.
My kids and I loved our visit to Oude Molen Eco Village. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cape Town. Thanks for the great time that we definitely had.

A rural environment in Cape Town, an ideal place in Cape Town to introduce children to love and appreciate activities taking place in rural areas to sustain urban life.
Lovely place to take the kids! Shaded play area and enjoyable pony rides for the kids and adults
Enjoyed the day spent there. I went with my two kids and they loved playing around
