Review Jackal On The Beach - Mossel Bay

We were there for the food, seafood. Pizza's but there was a white sauce on top which was way too much. Serve it on the side, better. Service was excellent.

Beautiful and on the beach. Excellent and friendly service. Very good breakfast and will recommend when in the area. A must see when kept and restored old building if you have a heart for history x

Best located restaurant in Mossel Bay - ON the beach with the best sea view! Pensioners special was good value for money - R75 for a schnitzel with salad and chips. Cappuccino R32. Service was good.

What a lovely place. I've been there 3 times in 7days and every time the service was on top. We had drinks on the deck with an amazing view over the ocean,my child were playing on the beach while enjoying our drinks and watch over him at the same time. There food is good and very delicious,only onion rings to oily.Thank you to the staff you are very friendly,and you treated us well.

My new favorite place for fish and calamari.... they would do well with cocktails 🍸 if only they had...

Spent a great evening enjoying dinner on the beach. Staff was great. Unfortunately the restaurant showing signs that it needs some TLC. (And they need to start serving proper ice cream! Cheap store bought ice cream was a let down)

On Santos beach, what more can one ask for. Great place where you can hear, smell and see the waves and see sand. Kids can enjoy the pleasures of the see while you are on the deck of the restaurant.

Amazing spot right on the beach so family can enjoy the beach and the amazing seafood selection from the restaurant make sure you book ahead of time to get a good table on the deck, of course weather permitting.

Nice restaurant at a beautiful location along the beach. Food takes quite long to arrive but once it does its definitely worth it. Good portion sizes. Patrons could be more attentive to their tables, otherwise nice place, hope to visit again.

Absolutely fantastic view! And a very wide variety of pizza's and wines. We've visited a few times but our last visit was slightly disappointing. Service was not up to scratch and the pizza base was very tough and they were skimpy on toppings in comparison to other visits. Great spot for drinking wine and enjoying the view, a fantastic photo spot! But considering the quality of food we were served, slightly overpriced.

Gisteraand die lekkerste pizza daar geëet. Dankie veral vir die Seekos pizza. Dit kan gerus maar deel vorm van die spyskaart. Dankie ook vir die "special" pryse, wat ons gesin in staat stel lekker saam uit te eet.

Perfect view. Good service. Bad seafood. We had the surfandturf and seafood platter. Prawns overcooked and pap. Mussels, calamari and fish were tasteless. Salad leaves and tomatoes wilted. The view does not make up for the food.

I just love everything about this amazing restaurant...i can not even imagine why anybody would give a bad review...best pizzas for sure in mossel bay and I will be back for more�� What i love about the menu is its basic But they are excellent in each dish Be great with a minimum amount of items rather than a menu with 50pages but its horrible. Another bonus is the kids play on the beach and you can keep an eye on them. Perfect for everyone! !!best location friendly staff. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

A lot of hype ... establishment named after the famous winery ... but what a huge disappointment. Best position in Mossel Bay with the worst food offering. Menu very limited. Prawn salad inedible ... old tough prawns. We returned the prawn salad and asked for GRILLED fish instead but it was flour coated and pan fried. Milk shake flavourings so artificial tasting it was undrinkable. Pina Colada just awful with little or no rum. Lovely view but that was the only positive thing of the whole evening. Suggest you relook at the menu and would suggest tapas style dishes instead to compliment your wine and beer list

all it needs is a lovely chees platter and biscuits, to charm the best wine ever and a nice snack plater, for that lovely fryday early after work lunch with wify. lol and lastly some fresh oysters .but i under stand baby steps for the rest i was impresed please keep it that way .

Terrible service, food order came out wrong , pizza was half raw ! Such a pitty because it is a stunning location with a great view

Baie dankie dat julle ons Trou dag so spesiaal gemaak het. Dit was regtig baie lekker. Die restuarant was baie mooi opgemaak, en die kos was ook baie lekker.

The only good thing about this place was our friendly and understandable waitress Venesa. Raw pizza base and very green un eatable avo. We had to send 2 pizzas back to kitchen.

Die venue is so mooi en dis waar dit stop! Diens van ons waiter uiters swak. Minerale water warm, verkeerde rekening- wat meer kan ek sê pizza ok- gaan kry Jakkalsvlei se resep!

Amazing venue. Pizza was good. The bar could b a little more stocked up. Lots of the drinks from the menu were not available (no white wine, no castle light,there was only one draft type,and one of gin wasnt available)

Obviously the best setting in town. With limited space and season orientated peak times, you guys got a good balance on the menu.

Only reason gave it a four as the food took very long time to come but the beer battered hake and chips was delicious, worth the wait

Stunning beach views and definitely the best pizzas in Mossel Bay. We will be back for more!

Perfect setting dragged down by dissapointing pizza which was "undercooked" with cheese runny and base soggy. Only beers available are expensive (R 49-00 for cheapest) craft beers.

Thank You Mosselbay eventually a descent pizza place in town. Was absolutely delicious.
