We visited the restaurant for our anniversary dinner. Route 57 is an absolute gem in Mosselbay. We were met with such great hospitality and the food was top notch. The 4x gin cocktail tasting kicked of the evening followed by lamb shanks & beef cheeks. The food was well presented and very tasteful. The creme brulee was an absolute winner, overall great food and service. Highly recommended.
We’ve visited this restaurant now twice and both experiences have been superb. The meals are of a high standard, the staff friendly and their promotions offer really good value for money options. The extensive wine shop at the back is an added bonus. As a package, one of if not the top restaurant, I believe, in Mossel Bay.
I had the chicken stack which was well presented and was delicious. A little different from the usual as is served with just veg. Was yummy! The long waite was worth its while.
One of the best restaurants in Mossel Bay. Went for dinner and each course was excellent complimented by a good selection of Louis57 wines. A bonus is that you can buy the wines in their shop which is next door.

Awesome Food! Had the Pork Belly, and my partner had the Blue Cheese snails and Chicken Snitchel and we both had the Creme Brûlée for desert...

We arrived late and after looking at Zomato decided to try Route 57.
The service was excellent and the staff was friendly.
I had the best pork belly and my wife enjoyed their Steak.
The Crème Brule was out of this world.
We will definitely return.
Being a keen golfer I had to visit Route 57. The setting is great, very neat and nicely laid out. We were served some amazing fresh homemade bread and enjoyed a bottle of Luis 57 wines. The Trio of Venison was outstanding but I wasn’t very impressed with the Fillet with marrow and pepper corn sauce. It seemed to lack something. Unfortunately I can’t say that the service matched the type of restaurant we were in. A bit slow and not very attentive. But we still enjoyed the evening.
We ate at Route 57 on the 26th of January 2018, we did not need a reservation. We entered the restaurant ,it felt like you are entering an elite place. Service was excellent, we did not even wait long for our food and it was divine. Meat was cooked to perfection, vegetables were soft, even the fish, pork belly and curry was excellent. I shall definitely recommend this place to anyone. Complimentary to the chef. Service 10/10

Absolutely fabulous food and great service! A must if you're in Mossel Bay. The portions are huge and the food is distinctly South African. Well done! We will be back soon.

Had lunch here while visiting Mossel Bay. It's part of the Louis Oosthuizen set of brands so the decor will remind a little of a golf club (in a good way!). Great little find, excellent service and very good food. We had the pork belly and chicken for mains - both were excellent. The kiddies burger was really tasty - much better than a lot of other kiddies fare. The creme brulee was top notch while seeing sago pudding on a menu was a nice surprise. Definitely give this restaurant a try.
The food is exceptional, the service is great and it has a wonderful atmosphere. A must try for anyone in Mossel bay. Definitely deserves a 5 Star rating.
Amazing. Simply amazing. I don't understand how this place does not have a higher rating. All the commented reviews are very high, yet somehow the rating is much lower.

Very classy, very homy feel. Had a starter bone marrow vegetable soup with a chardonnay spritzer. Ending the evening off with a delicious cinnamon dumplings and frangelico. The cinnamon was a bit much but still very tasty. What a wonderful treat....
Been here a couple of times during lunch hours. Quiet. Good food. Don't know much of Mossel Bay but one of my favourite restaurants in the little town.

Excellent food at very reasonable prices. One of the best in Mossel Bay. Pic is of Boere sushi - Smoked salmon on a tangy potato salad. Great service too.
We make sure to visit this place every year when we go on vacation. It is amazing! The food and the service is top notch. Very upper class feeling, but chill atmosphere. You have to have the Chef's Choc Pud if you have a sweet tooth.
Route 57 really blew my mind! When we parked right in front of the place in the street it didn't seem like the place I would soon be experiencing. Walking in I can sense a fun and open atmosphere for a few drinks and quick snack, but when we got seated inside it changed and I felt this heart warming feeling.
The waiter, Neil, suggested I try the Trio Venison, and I have never ever been so satisfied with one meal! The best 3 pieces of steak I have ever eaten!
Same goes with the Créme Brule, it comforted my full stomach like a feather pillow to your face.
I will definitely return there next time I'm in town
This is the best restaurant in the whole city, always friendly and helpful stuff,which knows the menu well,food is delicious, no matter what you order,good selection of wines. A must to visit in Mosselbay!

I received an email with a list of all the restaurants participating in Restaurant Week and as we were going away, I decided to see which restaurants in Mossel Bay were participating. We chose Route 57 as both Dave and I liked the sound of the menu. At the time of making the booking I did not realize that there was a set menu for restaurant week, with a choice between 2 main courses and 2 desserts for R175 per person for the two course meal.
From the phone conversation with Anzel, through our late arrival, impeccable service from Bronwin and the exquisite sesame seed cheeses, mushroom fillet and lavish lamb shank, this is definitely a place of incredible ambience and taste that needs to be visited!
Extremely good experience at this surprisingly good restaurant. An evening spent with load shedding and slightly abridged load shedding menu. Great selection of dishes. Good wine list and extremely good value. Had the pork belly. Delicious! Service staff are a treat and highly accommodating and entertaining. Thank you. I hope I can visit again.
Awesome good food, lovely atmosphere and great service. Will definitely be back. We had lamb shank and bone marrow steak which was prepared to perfection and spoil yourself with the delicious creme brûlée.
Nice ambiance and really enjoyable food, a must when in Mosselbay. Waiters are very friendly and professional. Beautifully furnished indoor and outdoor seating available. Not really child friendly

A lot of great and local dishes are on the menu. I had the Lamp Curry and it was very delicious. I asked for extra 🌶️🌶️🌶️ and they did it great.
They have a great selection of wines but no tapped beers.

This restaurant is part owned by the golfer Louis Oosthuizen. It's an upmarket restaurant serving some incredible food at quite reasonable prices. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful, full of smiles, attentive and seemed to be there just when we needed her, even though we were sat outside. Lovely place to dress up smart and have a nice meal at.
Best steak I've ever tasted my entire life. The atmosphere is cosy and warm and the waiters will treat like queen/king. Loved it.

Amazing. I am a vegetarian and it is hard to find good quality food. Route 57 has one vegetarian starter and 1 Main dish and it both is out of this World. Best food i had in Africa!!!
