Really great pizza and service. Friendly pizza master and the wait time was short. I did call ahead and he assembled the pizza and waited until we arrived to bake it in the wood fired pizza oven. Ordered the esplanade, to say the least, it was amazing and when they say you eat with your eyes first, it’s true, it was made with pride and love.

Been eating at Firehouse Pizza for over 5 years and I'm yet to have a pizza that's not worthy of a 5 star rating. Super stoked about the new place in Durban North which is now closer to home, the shop looks good, staff are energetic and the pizza is made with the freshest ingredients! No better recipe for a legit pizza evening at home with the family. Big ups to the Firehouse team!

We have been looking for another good pizza place in Durban for awhile. Delivers solidly in a no nonsense way. Excellent base and flavorful toppings. Staff are friendly and service is quick.

There's a reason this place won a neighbourhood award. This is your friendly local pizza spot with consistently crispy wood-fired crust and the perfect ratio of toppings. Graham, the owner, is happy to talk to you about the wholesome ingredients when he greets you at the door. He delights in watching you take your first bite because he loves making people happy with food. Trust me - it works. My favourites are the Esplanade (v) and the Mafioso, but try out the for yourself.

What a lovely way to spend a few hours in the warm Durban autumn sun. Pizza & Wine = happiness. The Firehouse is a tiny outlet that specializes in gourmet pizzas. This is not your run of the mill, franchised one size fits all kind of place. So if it's a crispy thin pizza base that's been cooked in a wood fired pizza oven, with toppings that you won't find anywhere else, you've come to the right place! The Firehouse offers deliveries within a 3km radius of their Florida Road outlet. We ordered our pizzas and popped over to Spar Tops to get a bottle of wine. Graham, the owner of The Firehouse, provided us with glasses. We ordered two of their popular pizzas and can't wait to get back to work our way through the menu. Mafioso - Mozarella, feta, salami, pepperdew, chilli and peppers (I omitted the peppers) R100 Rustic Bacon - Mozarella, bacon, feta, pepperdews & avocado R100 Next on our list will be their Pork Belly and Durban Curry Pizzas. They also offer a Vegetarian pizza - Cauliflower Prices range from a very reasonable R70 to R100 with high quality, generous toppings. Very relaxed chilled vibe. Limited seating outside, round table and long counter table. Highly recommended

A Slice that Travels Far If you want to taste what it's like to travel to Europe but can't travel then stop on by to the Firehouse! In between the Staff's Smiles and seated amongst the scent of basil plants, sit back and enjoy the musical adventure this time capsule will take you too! The thing I loved about this place is that it's not just about the Pizza it's all about the love that you can taste in each ingredient that is intentionally gracefully placed and the amazing people you meet there! Rustic bacon is a good choice if you like bacon and avocado and the Margherita is an all around classic! If your preference is Vegan then you will not be disappointed! I am not vegan but enjoyed stealing slices from my partners Musgrave vegan pizza so much! Enjoy the adventure you are about to embark on cause I sure did!

I highly recommend. I’ve know the owner for a long time and I’ve seen his journey. It shows in his food. I had the Esplanade V Mozzarella, Kalamata olives, Danish feta, Spinach, Roasted red pepper pesto & Toasted sesame seeds. Very good pizza. The price I will say is a bit on the expensive side. This would be a treat.

The pizza was decent, good base. although I think the spinach was a little off giving it a slight fishy tasted which wasn’t great. I don’t quite see why they wouldn’t sell drinks, I assume the establishment is a charity that is forbidden to make a profit. Still, nice place for lunch.

I am no pizza expert but can say Mafioso is the best pizza I have had and just returned for the same pizza again with same good results

The Firehouse is such an incredible little spot to kick back and escape. Tucked away in a cozy little corner of Florida Road, where you're always welcomed with a smile. Here you'll find the best pizzas in South Africa-and you'll probably end up making friends with the locals who share your love for good food and chilled vibes. This isn't the kind of place you go to be served by a waiter in a tuxedo, but that's not what this place is all about. It's about authenticity and originality. It's that cool find that you HAVE to bring your friends and family to try, because you know it'll blow thier minds. Graham and the Firehouse team bring a taste of Europe to South Africa and eating these pizzas is an experience. Much love you guys! We'll see you soon.

We ordered to go and had the great pleasure of watching them make our firewood pizza which had quite a generous amount of cheese not so much on the meat if you are a meat lover like me. they could also improve on the taste with some more toppings such as fresh herbs or a bit of spice but Overall I do recommend this pizza joint as the saying goes local is lekker.. The service was great... I shall return!

Had 3 pizza’s on Thursday- The Crystal, Rustic Bacon and Hydrant! All fantastic, full of flavor and plenty toppings with perfectly cooked bases! Well done Firehouse! Will definitely be back for more!
