Review Tashas - Morningside

Fiona
We love visiting this center and the Tasha’s is a nice spot for breakfast. It gets busy so come early or be prepared to wait during the busy times like Saturday mornings. The food is alway excellent and there is a lot of seating with friendly attentive staff

The food is absolutely delicious. Although it gets really packed

A really nice place, went for a breakfast neeting. The food was really good, had a wrap which was great, although they gave by far the sweetest granita I have ever had, had a really artificial sweet taste. I would and will always recommend for breakfast but would like to suggest less of the artificial flavours in the granitas

Above all else, the service levels are very high at this restaurant. Marius, who served me on 3Sep23, was extremely welcoming, hospitable and patient. Highest commendations to him. The meals are also fresh and always exactly as described on the menu. Great vibe, ambience and atmosphere as well.

Keep coming here on a regular basis. These guys rock. Overcrowded regularly... waiting time to be seated is around 5 min... it's worth to wait. Menu still is consistent and good... not to mention, vast. Because its crowded the level of noise is high... Food and service is good. When you order natural juices, please remind the waiter to tell the juicer man to wash the juicer container... otherwise your orange juice comes with a carrot slight flavour...🤔

I like Tasha's. The food is fresh and the portions are large. It's location is great for business lunches in the area. A diverse, vegan friendly menu, reasonably priced and some interesting drinks on the menu. The staff is friendly and professional. Great service. If your looking for a place to eat and hang out stop at Tasha's.

A pleasant evening meal with my sister visiting from the UK. Salad seemed a little tired and dressings not up to scratch. Our waiter Brian was attentive and polite, restaurant was very quiet with the festive emigration to the coastal areas. All in all 6.5 /10

Best breakfast I've had at a restaurant... ever! Breakfast Royal was served with green asparagus and poached eggs exactly how I like it done. Perfect!
Dylan Foonk
Friendly staff, clean and tasty food but very busy so prepare for that! Quite loud but not the restaurant's fault.

One of my favorite places, good food, lekker vibe, chilled.

A great venue for brunch, lunch and people watching in Morningside,Sandton

Have posted on their fb page as well but I feel it’s important for those who use these sites to figure out where they want to go to know about the terrible service. My two friends and I decided to meet on a Friday straight after work for a chilled dinner a few classes of vino and a catch up as one would on a Friday. We got there around 5pm straight after work. We ordered a bottle of wine a starter and three meals and our one friend ordered a cocktail. Not only was I charged R128 for four pieces of goats cheese and greens, that’s besides the point. At 6:30 on a Friday evening they tell us we can’t order anything else, as they are closing. The restaurant still had many patrons. Then they start making everyone feel extremely uncomfortable and rushed. At 6:45 they switch off the music and turn off the lights. There were still about 6 tables in the restaurants, two of them were now completely in the dark. They bring us the bill and tell us we need to pay as they are cashing up. (Before 7 on a Friday while we still have full drinks in front of us) they made everyone feel so rushed and uncomfortable. Basically forcing us to down our wines. The final straw for me (just after 7pm) was when the manager rudely shouts across the restaurant at us: “are you done ladies”. No we were not done! If he really wanted to kick us out he could have come up to our table and nicely explained the situation to us, I have never in my life experienced such disgusting service, even the waitress apologized to us when they turned off the lights. This is not how you treat your customers! It’s not as if we were sitting there to get be rowdy and get drunk we just wanted to finish what we had ordered and paid for in a pleasant environment. Our bill came to approx R650 so we were spending a decent amount of money! I will never go there again! So disgusted! If you going to run a restaurant do it properly and don’t treat your patrons so disgustingly!! I will post this on every review site as I was so put off and horrified at the service! There was no sign on the door and they let us come in and order wine and food only to be unceremoniously kicked out! The waiters were great and food was good.

Have been here a couple of times and think it warrants a review as I can’t fault any of the dishes I have tried! Always fresh, top quality food.
I did try the decadent red velvet, cheesecake and it is well worth not having a proper meal for!
Christy Lee Edmunds
One of our favourite Tasha’s. Always good food and good service. Usually have to wait for a table during busy periods but it’s worth the wait and it’s not to long a wait which is great. Got to try the garden tuna salad
Akie Chhabra
Super busy outlet but worth every cent once you find a table. Personally a big fan of showing up to Tasha’s Morningside for a Saturday or Sunday brunch. Always enjoy the warm service & attention we receive when we go there; the staff have been trained well. I appreciate the fact that they don’t outprice their items which makes Tasha’s an easy choice. Great wine selection (by the glass and bottle) if you’re looking to wash down the amazing food that they have on offer.

Menu items to absolutely die for: Whole-wheat Chicken Wrap, Lemon Chicken, Fillet Steak Panini, Lettuce Cup Burgers and Red Velvet Cake 🙌
Simone
Consistently staff that are unfriendly and have a negative attitude. The food leaves a lot to be desired and the cappuccinos are disappointing. Definitely my least favourite tashas.
Natalie De Canha
Tasha’s is one of my all time favourite restaurants, both for the gorgeous food and wonderful waitrons! The staff is always so friendly and helpful, and the portions are generous with incredible taste combos to match! Their gluten-free sourdough is a showstopper 😍🌿
PRINCE
Perfect..absolutely wonderful place with great food. We had breakfast here and all 6 of us enjoyed our different dishes. Would recommend this place to anyone.
Kudzai Maeresa
Great location, nice vibe food was good. Service wasn't great though. Everything was a bit of a wait and the place wasn't even full. Waiter wasn't attentive - perhaps too keen to serve the next deserving patrons. Not good
Kirsty K Molepo
My fav Tashas to go to.
Love the setting and the light decor.
Service is really good as well.
The food is always top standard and so i the wine selection by the glass.

I was craving pancakes or flapjacks this past weekend and tried to google places that sell them. I found Tasha’s morning side and headed over there for breakfast. The lady who was serving us recommended I try something more filling since I was so hungry. I opted for the chicken pesto pasta. I have never been so overwhelmed in my life. The portion size is extremely generous and perfect for the price. I only managed to eat half, but the half I had was extremely filling and delicious. I was very chuffed with the service, food and overall vibe of the restaurant. Tasha’s Morningside is not like the others, it has its own unique decor and ambience. It seems very popular, we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated which wasn’t too bad. I still need to try those pancakes so I will definitely be coming back to this Tasha’s again.
Mini Radebe
Tashas is always a great choice! The morningside branch is really great , clean and amazing service. we had the livers on toast with egg and it had cherry tomatoes . Classic breakfast with great ambience . Would visit again
Samke Kulu
Tasha’s is always an option. Breakfast can easily turn to lunch & then lead to dinner. Wherever I go, the staff is of the same caliber and the food is never compromised. I love that all the restaurants have their own unique feel but still give you that “Tasha’s feeling “ - believe the hype, it’s good.
Radha Chhita-Nathoo
What has happen to Tasha’s. This place use to have a flair of its own. It most certainly has lost its flair. Attention to detail lacks. Chipped plates. Service slow. Food just not what it use to be. Rather disappointing.
Sita
My favourite Tashas branch! I love the decor and ambience of the place. Waiters are attentive and quickly at your service.

I can't fault this branch.
Mukhtar Dharsey
Nice and bright Tasha’s. Love the napkin decor on the ceiling. Friendly and quick service at 9am on a Sunday when not too busy yet. Had the scrambled sweet corn eggs with shaved Parmesan. Friend had the chicken mayo. Also had fresh apple juice. Recommend for a quick light breakfast.
Natalie Lazaris
love love love Tasha's and this one is particularly good. The delicious food, jam packed Vibey restaurant and great service makes for a delightful lunch. Gotta love the ceaser salad or the carrot cake. There is nothing better than a piece of fresh 🍰 paired with a foamy cappuccino.
The Schoeman Brothers
Such a wonderful restaurant! Food came in five minutes, and tasted even better than it smelled (which is saying a lot)! I will definitely be back and really recommend it!
Stellar
Lovely looking restaurant with good service. Waiting time for a table can be quite long but it is by far the busiest restaurant in the mall, for good reason. I had the ramen bowl which was quite pleasant - fresh and flavourful but very salty. The big portion was appreciated but couldn't be finished. Hope to return to see what else it has to offer.
Kashma
My favorite brunch / lunch or brekkie spot. This branch is close to home so we are regulars here.
My fav brekkie is the hummus toastie - my standard order over the weekend. My daughter loves the French toast with the berry compote, mascarpone, fresh cream and cream fraishe sauce. It’s her standard order.
We especially love the freshly made juices with ginger. It’s a bit pricey but worth it!
Our tea time fav is the custard and pastry slices. It’s to die for and a real indulgence.
Tasha’s - a South African restaurant that never disappoints!
Sherice Herbert
We like this branch in particular due to the difference in the menu. It is a cozy little spot to enjoy breakfast or lunch and you are guaranteed a great meal. Their portion sizes are good, its almost a struggle to finish it all. Friendly and professional waiters are always near. A bit scrunched up with the space is the only negative thing about the restaurant.
Trevor
Always a pleasure eating here.
Great ambience Setting is ideal for either business or socializing
We ordered calamari and caesar salad
Delicious and great presentation
Service is friendly and professional
Rebone Mofulatsi
If you are looking for a decadent, sweet, divine breakfast - the ultimate cheat meal, look no further than Tashas and ask for their Pain Perdu... I swear, you won't regret it!
Bame Modungwa
Been here only once for brunch. Great service, food came quickly despite the restaurant being busy, it's a little small and cramped with tables which takes away from the splendid decor at Tasha's. Great brioche French toast from the Pain perdu, id definitely recommend for those who prefer a sweet brunch option.
Hitesh
Tasha Morningside: great ambience, busy centre with lots of restaurant perfect place for casual lunch, business meeting or dinner date with your loved ones
Food: excellent food had pesto pasta in penne. Perfectly blended Basel pesto in penne a must try.
Spaghetti Napolitano: sweet, tangy, mouth watering
Friendly staff who treated me well. I would surely visit again.
Wendy
Liked the location, central to Sandton, Rivonia and Bryanston. Food is good, but it gets very busy. I enjoyed the pasta and hot drinks there. Good Friday night social place to relax in.
Chloë Hagemann
Second terrible breakfast here. Bacon was tough. Scrambled egg wasn't creamy. Everything looked reheated and cappuccinos were colds and milky.
TwoTastyTummies
Sometimes the safe choice is the best choice!

Each Tashas has a unique twist and the Tashas at Morningside is inspired by the market. don't know what market though, but we would gladly return any day!

We started with some cocktails, as no good story ever started with a salad. After a drink or two... (Who is counting?) We decided to order some food. We ordered the Schnitzel Sarmie, Lettuce Cup Burgers and the Greenland Quesadillas. ALL of the dishes were truly memorable and generous! (This is not the cocktails talking).

The waiter’s only concern was that we have a great time and she excelled at that, never making us wait, always topping up our cocktails and she did all of this with a smile and a great attitude.

If you are looking for a great food and a buzzing atmosphere (which can get very loud) this is the place for you, but just plan your visit carefully to avoid ending up in a 15 min queue to be seated.

TTT’s rating out of 5: Food – 4.5 | Service – 5 | Atmosphere – 3 | Value - 5Tashas Morningside gets Two Tasty Tummies' stamp of approval

I love consistency and that's the thing about Tashas...
Service is always good
Food is fresh and tasty
Breakfast anytime !! I'm a sucker for eggs 😊👌🏻
Great coffee
Brunch was lovely ...
It wasn't my first time in this outlet and I keep coming back when I'm in the area
Definitely a recommendation for breakfast / brunch ...
Rigard & Jeanine
This is a very popular outlet and justifiably so as the meals and service are of a high (4 plus) standard. Getting a table has however almost always been a challenge, so be prepared to queue. Beautiful layout, light and airy.
Skye Da Silva
One of my favourite breakfast joints... highly recommend the Dr Paw Paw, Eggs Benedict and Chicken Mayo Tramazinni... but I regularly mix it up and always happy with something new on the menu...
Lisa Van Wyk
My go to Tashas. Right by where I stay and always the best service and the best food. Just didn't take a photo of my go to freezo, now that bad boy never disappoints. Whenever I'm at the Tashas I feel as though I'm at home. The most friendly ambience. Love this place!
Hein Lubbe
I have no words, just appreciation! Coffee, Pain Perdu, service and ambiance: 5-star! Thank you! I will drive from where ever in Jhb to visit this outlet as they know exactly how it should be done. Sandton, please send your chef over here for a refresher course. 😉

Went to Tashas Morningside for breakfast on Human Rights day... great atmosphere. Yummy sweetcorn fritters ✔ the service was efficient and no long waits between getting drinks and the meal being served.
Mayuri
Really good service and food. The red cappuccino is a good drink option for non-coffee drinkers. Had the salmon scrambled eggs - the 40g portion size was perfect for me- which means that big(ger) eaters might need to up theirs to the 80g option. The pancakes were a little 'wholewheaty' for my taste but was decent.
Thandie
The ambience in this spot is always super. I ordered steak and a frullato which is one of my favorite summer drinks but be warned it's packed with calories.
The frullato was awesome but the steak fell short it was quite bland.
Jill Nudelman
There's a winning formula here. Where there's a Tasha's there's a queue. The service is slick, the food's consistent, the coffee's good and the ambience pleasant if noisy.
Got a table easily on a Sunday morning before 10. Had off-the-menu avo on toast; a sad dish. My choice of brown bread turned out to be boring brown government. My husband had goat's milk cheese with defrosted peas and poached egg on some sort of bread - weird. The goat's milk cheese was very yoghurt-like - not his favorite flavour or texture. But scraping the cheese and the peas off and putting them on my avo toast together with some olive oil - hey presto! My breakfast became delicious!
And ladies (or lads) go to this branch if you want to see a slew of good looking managers (but don't tell my husband I said so!).
Dani
Sometimes those quick lunches are all you need
Went to Tashas in Morning Side shopping center today. I haven't been for a long time and thought it would be packed as it was Friday. It was busy but not terrible. The food came out nice and fast which was good as we were very hungry
The food was delicious
And we ended it off with great coffee
So well done Tashas
FoodiewhippedSA
This is one of my favorite tasha's. One of the busiest tashas around. Make sure you make a booking or get there early for a great scrumptious meal.

I love everything on their menu at this place. My favorite is the pesto chicken pasta just cannot get enough of it.

It's so rich and comforting that you cannot resist but dig in..

Great place and great service
Kurt Baden Cairns
Obviously the primes spot to be for a brunch/lunch on a Saturday or a Sunday, however... you might find yourself feeling out of sorts by the time you get seated because it's so damn full on the weekends. Again, if you're a car spotter, this is the place for you to relax with a few beers and witness the magnificent sounds of a v8 or if you lucky, a v10
Michael Morton
Another one of Tasha's well appointed franchises. The setting and decor are great as is the norm with Tasha's... we only had time for a coffee and a snack. So never got to test their menu.. but everything coming out the kitchen looked great.

Settled for the fudge (amazing) and a cappuccino. Very nice vibe and glad we chose to sit down.. will be back..
Binita Mistry
This was my second visit to Tashas in one weekend, different branches though. My husband and I shared The South African Quesadilla and the Quinoa Breakfast Tart. The Quesadilla was tasty but could have done with slightly more chicken. The breakfast tart was light and airy and instead of having it for breakfast we had it as a healthy dessert. It was lovely and fresh. Service was great and our waiter was kind enough to move us to a less noisy area upon our request.
Anthea Chittenden
I have recently had a few meetings at this branch, over both breakfast and lunch, great location for clients based in Sandton or Rivonia. Diverse menu, portions, quality and service are top notch. It's incredibly vibrant which is fab for people watching but not ideal if wanting to talk business, sitting near the front entrance is to be avoided as super noisy more due to machines making those divine fresh juices or yummiest freezos.
Sharima Bramannan
Tashas is a great SA brand...consistent with quality of food. This one serves a really good coconut syrup cake which I luv...had it with a cappuccino today and it satisfied all cravings ;-)
My friend had the bar one cake which was also really good.
Fatima Kamrudin Mamod
Went for a business breakfast..friendly staff quick efficient service..i had the salmon scrambled eggs was enjoyable..will definitely go back to try other utems on the menu..
Talia Lee Cohen
My favourite Tashas! We know all the managers by name and the menu off by heart. I'd rant about the goat cheese stuffed falafel (which I'd still give half my wallet for!!) but it's sadly been taken off the menu 😔 there are numerous other delights! The coconut cake is moist and creamy; the soups are so flavoursome; the quesadillas are crunchy and tasty; the salads - as usual - are insane!!! Mmmm there's a glorious quinoa salad with hazelnut and pomegranate dressing
Esther Shaidi
If there is a Tashas nearby and its meal time well then you know what my first option is.

Breakfast after the morning service was such a delicious idea. We ordered the livers on toast and classic breakfast. We were quickly seated with some fast and efficient service on a very busy late Sunday morning. Everything was so full of flavor and quickly prepared. I'd definitely suggest this restaurant.
Jozi Poppy
Excellent service and excellent food. As always you have to wait in a queue to get in which is evidence that the food is delicious. Their breakfasts are amazing. Interesting options which work. There is a dish for every food palate. Excellent cuppacinos and fresh juice options
Halliq.abdulhaleem
Absolutely splendid place. When i was living in Morning side, I just go to Tasha's for my breakfast most weekends. The server's are usually very nice and attend you on request. Probably you might have to wait sometimes, because table's get filled up because of good food they offer.

I used to always order Salmon Scramble, omelette, Croissants, Muffins and Fresh juice. Trust me, these items are totally worth ordering and savouring from Tasha's. My friends if they accompany usually buy sandwiches and quesadillas too which they mentioned was very good. I have also ordered Lemon chicken, Pesto Pasta and liqueur coffee during my lunch visit. They are also very good to try. But i would reckon going for the breakfast in Tasha's rather than lunch or evening.

A nice place to sit and have your breakfast and talk with your friends.
Shelly Blake
I love Tashas and eat at a Tashas at least once a week, sadly, however, the Tashas in Morningside is filled with management staff with bad attitudes and although the food is still good at this Tashas the rudeness of Management makes going to this Tashas a VERY unpleasant experience! Hyde Park Tashas puts Morningside to shame!
Rich Torlage
A great breakfast spot. We have been here for Friday team meetings before work and is a great way to start the day. The food is always great.
Ashish Sewgoolam
Tashas is one of those places that I have a love-hate relationship with. I think that it's grossly overpriced and the food isn't that amazing but on the other hand it's always good quality generous portions and more often then not the service is great with a very attentive manager that's always around at this branch.
This morning I tried the Turkish eggs which were new on the menu and it tasted better than I anticipated. The combination of hummus, spicy crunchy chickpeas, Greek yoghurt and medium eggs all scooped up with Melba toast was intriguing, but altogether it works really well for a "healthy", fresh breakfast.
One doesn't ever associate Tasha's (or anywhere in Morningside Shopping Centre) with value food offerings but at R56 it's also quite reasonable compared to the rest of the menu and definitely not a small helping.
Will definitely have it again when I'm looking for a non comfort food breakfast option.
Robyne Stephenson
Absolutely delicious. Could not fault a single thing. The service was great, food outstanding and vibe awesome. We waited a little while for a table but it was well worth it. The heirloom halloumi salad was divine and my boyfriend raved about the harrissa lamb open sandwich. Glass of the rose went down very well also. Very good value for money.
Tay
TASHAS OF COURSE ♥️ frothy coffee and delicious breakfasts !! Will always be one of my favorite restaurants without fail. Although a bit pricey, you certainly get your money's worth in quantity and quality !! Amazing presentation of EVERYTHING and service is impeccable 🎀 There is no FREEZO like a Tasha's FREEZO •
Nicola Slyper
Both this Tashas and the Melrose Arch one are fantastic. We came here for breakfast after a rather big night out celebrating my 30th birthday. We didn't wait long for a table and soon ordered something to cure the the previous nights damage.

While the service was a little slow, our meals were fantastic! Especially the bacon rosti, this was delicious and a decent size. I would definitely recommend trying it!
Vishal Mistry
Came through to Tasha's after a heavy night drinking at home with one of my best friends who was down from the States. Not in the mood for anything that was going to be a bit of a challenge, but still looking for good food that's close to home, Tashas is that place. I ordered a simple Chicken Mayo on Rye with a side of chips, and a Coffee Milkshake. All in all the perfect cure for my hangover, a deliciously cold with a hit of caffeine, the right levels of saltiness in the chips and a great toast CM.
Valt
Polenta breakfast is such a winner _. Easy to miss but you won't regret it. Service is always top notch. Reliable for a quick productive breakfast
Devin Sage
Really good service. I've never had a bad meal at tashas. Great vibe, friendly waiters. I can't remember what salad I had but it had snap peas. I'm obsessed with snap peas now! Hahaha. Amazing Chai Latte, loads of froth! Delicious! The layout of the restaurant is good. A few of the tashas I've been to have been cramped but this one is nice and spacious.
Nadine Pretorius
I love going to Tasha's Morningside! The service is great! The vibe is busy and trendy and the food is always delish! One of my fave spots!
Cdawg Dubya
Went for breakfast and happily satisfied.
Unique diverse menu with a lot of choice.
There is no way you can judge this venue on one meal so many more to come.
The food was really well prepared and even better presentation.
Try it. Have a go.
Derek Hall
This is my 'other office'. Not only are you efficiently, nay - expertly served excellent red cappuchinos and fabulous filter coffee even when it is full (which is most of the time), but as a 'paleo practitioner' I have to let everyone know of their 'Old School Omelette'. Eish👍🏻! The only way to start my day... Delicious. Filling. Regularly repeated.

Tasha's Morningside has a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere, and the design and layout of the restaurant makes for the perfect al fresco dining experience - great for Jozi weather.

Choose from their trusty standard Tasha's cafe style menu or their "Market" inspired menu unique to Morningside. Seeing that it's summer I had the Asian inspired chicken snap salad. It was a simple combination of complimenting ingredients like cabbage, mangetout, cashews and crispy chicken goujons in a sweet oriental lime dressing. A perfect cold dish with the right balance of flavours and textures.

Try out some of the other salads on the menu - the chicken and brown rice one is very good. And there is always the trusty niçoise!

Another must have is the cold cappuccino, or the Nutella espresso.

Tasha's Morningside is the perfect place for a wholesome meal with an emphasis on good quality ingredients. Unfortunately they are not open for dinner, but be sure to visit before the kitchen closes at 5:45pm.
Iman Haffajee
Thr best tashas by far. Excellent service. Hubby, baby and I go there every Saturday morning for our fix. Of all the tashas I've tried, I feel the service at this one and the attention to detail far outweighs the rest.
Tumi Phorosi
One of my absolute favourites. Nothing better than the creamy pesto pasta, and a glass of Jezebelle chardonnay. The atmosphere is great, always a "trendy vibe" to it. This branch is always quite busy, so a bit of a wait is expected before your food arrives, but once it has, it is always worth it.
Clint Van Heerden
I had quite a poor experience here on Sunday. I was here early, the restaurant wasn't busy. I ordered and proceeded to wait over thirty minutes for my food, all the while being checked on by the waiters. The cappuccino was poor; for such a prestige place and for R24 a pop, I expect a decent barista. Won't be back in a hurry.
RRR
Awesome for breakfast, brunch, dessert or sundowners! There is a always a bit of a wait but the numbering system helps. Their service is good, awesome food, it is always buzzing with people which makes it a bit noisy at times but it part of the Tasha's vibe! The managers are visible and do the rounds sorting out any issues in a timely manner. Introduced a few friends who also loved the food!

Came here for my birthday breakfast lovely place great ambience ordered the scrambled salmon egg for me it was average had the pimms drink yummy yummy I loved it will come back for it
Avtaar Mohanlall
A breakfast/brunch spot loved by many but still not sure if they've won me over yet. A variety of options on the menu that make it a bit difficult to make a choice without order envy.

Had the protein milkshake to drink, which was surprisingly good and the steak stack as a main, which to be honest was average. Not in a rich to get back there anytime soon
Megz Mackintosh
Had a fantastic time at this Tasha's! The interior is beautiful with the creative hanging serviettes. The service was of a high standard (that one expects from all Tasha's). The corn fritters with bacon, avocado, rocket, tomatoes was delicious. The mini burgers are so cute & my favourite shoestring fries! Tasha's is definitely a place in South Africa to be & be seen.
James Jullies
Had a nice breakfast on the Day Of Reconciliation with some friends. We all requested Bulletproof Coffee (Filter Coffee blended with butter) but the staff didn't quite get it. Eventually had to help them out at the coffee machine (Perhaps a future option on the menu for the Paleo/Banting fit-forward clientele?)

Ordered the Steak Stack with a hard poached egg and an extra side of bacon. Well presented dish and fairly filling. The steak was done to my request (medium rare) albeit a tad underseasoned. The fresh rocket was nice and peppery.

The special menu had a tempting protein pancake option but the description made it sound like a snack. I was very hungry that morning :) . Perhaps next time.

The bill took quite a long time to come, which was weird considering how busy it is - one would think that table turnover is the name of the game. Service was good though and our water was always replenished upon request, which is appreciated.
Nasreen Rasool
After trying most of the breakfast places recommended on Zamoto, Tasha's is hands down the best! The food is always superb whether it be breakfast or lunch. The staff are welcoming and very attentive regardless of how busy they are. Easily my fav breakfast place. See you soon!
Jarrod Michael-Sylar Prinsloo-Bluth
This Tasha's has a great atmosphere and is always packed. The service, I admit, could be a lot better but otherwise the food is always good and I've had a great time every time I've been here.
Ryan Bezuidenhout
Manager extremely rude, but food great! If youare given a ticket for the Q you can come back in half an hour and get a seat immediately? The logic doesn't make sense. Surely if your seated and waiting you can go ahead. Great vibe. Atmosphere very pleasant. Top service!
DebbyGP
Quick, fresh and lots of options on the menu to suit everyone. The franchise has yet to disappoint and new items are always added to the menus. Always busy so it just goes to show how popular it is, especially weekend breakfast time. Service is fast and place is vibey. Great for weekend brunch and a quick catch up with friends.
The Big Mouth
The quality and variety of food on the Tasha's menu is brilliant and with the new(ish) additions to the menu there are even more options now available. Breakfasts and lunches are always delicious and fresh which makes Tasha's a regular go to for a guaranteed good meal. The vibe at Tasha's Morningside is great and of all the times I've been there the service has been great.
Angelo Smith
Chilled vibes with my friends from balito. Showing them not everything happens in balito... They had a awsome experience. Good food. good service. Smiles for days
Sonja Offwood
Always bustling, always busy, and really difficult to get a table. I have only been for breakfast and cake, the cake was good, however the breakfast was pretty standard. I also find this branch a little too pretentious for my liking. Saying all of this, I would like to give it another go, and will review this review once I have been back - maybe for lunch...
Siphesihle Linda Nyoka
Tashas is a very well franchised establishment, and I have always enjoyed their fresh food, but I must say over the years I have noticed a significant increase in prices and in some cases to the point where it's ridiculous. Nonetheless I popped into the Morningside one for lunch and a cocktail. The cocktail was perfect, a Turkish delight, with real pieces of Turkish delight in it. I had the fish cakes. The fish cakes themselves were lovely, and so was the side salad. However the boiled potato situation was not on, there is nothing worse than a bland boiled potato. It makes it difficult to health conscious when you pouring on mounds of salt. I really think they need to maybe boil the potato in veg stock just so that the potato are flavorful. P.s the obscure ginormous lemon wedge is wasting, a smaller wedge will suffice (clearly they need some cost cutting ideas) #justsaying

Mum always said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day so I wonder did mum mean tashas well if mum didn't then my excuse is living a busy life. . . I grabbed breakfast at tashas crisp bacon sunny side up eggs pork sausages toast fresh brewing coffee and preservatives grilled mushrooms and tomato yum yum great venue but very busy so don't go there expecting to get a set immediately . My favourite go to restaurant in joburg! Food is always delicious and well presented, with friendly waiters and a vibey atmosphere.

The polenta porridge is a unique take on a breakfast porridge with a mix of parmesan, bacon, mushrooms, chilli flakes and a poached egg. It's very filling and never disappoints.

This branch is always busy. Took my family here once for breakfast and waited a bit before being seated. Tashas has been a staple breakfast place for many as a result of its varieties. This was the first time I tried their bacon rosti. Poached egg with bacon and roasted tomato and a crunchy potato rosti as the base. Firstly when you see it walking past you saw wow I want that. Secondly the taste is amazing and well anything with bacon tastes fabulous (",)

Had breakfast here and was excited to see the unique menu of this particular outlet. It did not WOW me to say the least. Maybe I am just being difficult, but their breakfast selections were not the best and the pineapple smoothie was bland. The coffee on the other hand was good and the taste I had of brioche with berry compote was really good albeit sweet. Will have to give it a try during another meal to make up my mind on this one. Even though it was full on a Saturday morning the service was efficient and friendly.

Everyone seems to love Tashas. I do too. But that's why it's always so bustling, all the time.

I am amused with the restaurant looking out into the parkig lot filled with ridiculously expensive cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini right out front! Quite the sight!

Their freshly squeezed juices, smoothies and coffee/cappuccinos are consistently awesome. Food is also simple, good, and again consistent.

The only problem is that it gets so loud!!! I love meeting people here but few times we ended up moving to the new Woolworths café on the other side of the shopping centre.

But again, this seems to be a venue to see and be seen in Joburg.
Brave the long wait, the loud, and sometimes blatant display of wealthiest patrons around you, and you shall surround yourself with the movers and shakers as well as the elite class that come out to dine, despite, or perhaps because of, the parking lot. ;)

The vibe is energising, modern and a great place to catch up with friends. Food is delicious and fresh. Gets super busy. Staff are more than efficient. It is just a little too noisy for me.

Always have a great meal and it is very consistent with portion size and flavour. Great service too, a local favorite for me!

A great place for a nice breakfast. try their coconut chai, was a refreshing experience. Their arabito pasta was one of the better one's I have had in recent times. Waiters are friendly and cheerful.

I had lunch at this Tashas and must say that I continue to really enjoy this franchise. I did not have to wait long to get a table and was professionally handled whilst waiting. I ordered a pre-bottled drink called The Revitaliser. The quickly informed me that whilst they ran out of stock, they could mix thief own version with all the listed ingredients - turned out really refreshing! For lunch we had the Brazilian quesadilla with chicken, coriander, line and some yoghurt as well as the Tashas Panini with grilled chicken breasts. Both meals were really large portions and very tasty. For drinks we had the Strawberry daiquiri and the Turkish delight cocktail, both very light in alcohol content, perfect for a Sunday lunch. Service was good, the venue remains great.

I absolutely love this franchise. They serve cracking dishes everyday of the week which coincides perfectly with how often I want to eat here!

With our original choice of restaurant closed in the morning side shopping centre, we came through to Tasha's given just how consistent a franchise it is. Loved it! The freshly squeezed juices were fantastic and the management very accommodating when I explained that I was allergic to mushrooms. They promptly took back the food and cooked another portion without out the terrible fungis on top. I absolutely love the vibe of the restaurant and the open air feel adds even more.

I've been here several times and i'll keep on coming back to these high standards.

Great vibe, thats a huge factor. Food is good, typical Tashas style. 3/5 is due to the lack of smaller meal options. Yes lunch menu has items but still not enough options for the peckish - considering its a "cafe style". All bigger meals obviously are more expensive due to size, smaller is needed

Definitely the best Tashas outlet in Joburg in terms of ambience and overall vibe. Recently improved menu is impressive. Always have a pleasant dining experience.

Update: I've downgrade the rating of this place as a result of our last visit. Entered the restaurant at 3.30pm on a Sunday. Three different staff members came to inform us the kitchen was closed, which was fine as we only wanted smoothies. Waitress who took our order was an absolute retard, it took her 10 minutes to comprehend that we wanted to substitute one ingredient for another. Subsequently waited almost 30 minutes for two smoothies. We were overcharged for our drinks and after making a bit of a scene, they realised how bloody stupid they were and revised the bill.

In summary, don't come here if the regular managers aren't working, ie Sunday afternoon. This place cannot function without them.

This place is always busy and nice to come to for a light meal. They have a very extensive menu and lots of delicious baked goodies to choose from.
The service was good and waiter always checked up on us to see if we needed anything. I ordered the The Greenland Quesadilla with avo, feta, pistachio nuts, cheese, baby spinach and basil mayo. It was okay nothing special and I did bite into a bit of pistachio shell that had been left in. My BF had the Beef Ravioli that was done with sage butter, sundried tomatoes, pumpkin seeds and slithers of cheese on top. His looked delicious. They were very generous with the pumpkin seeds I have to say. For me I found it too oily, although very tasty. My BF enjoyed it.
The display of fabulous looking cakes was overwhelming but had to watch the weight so didn't indulge 😟. I like the fact that everything is under a glass dome and not out in the open. Also the beautiful array of orchids that are all over, (for sale) add to the modern decor.

This might be the best Tasha's I've been to. I loved the Rosebank & melrose arch ones but this might be the best one. I've been here twice I guess and every time was a different feel. A good feel. Although the food doesn't hit my spot ( I love hot food) my guests loved them. The salads (nicoise & caesar) however is so yummy. Don't forget to order a glass of Pinotage, on me! I have a tab there. sike !!

Tashas Morningside is great. Always buzzing and usually a queue to be seated. The food is consistently good, as well as sharp and friendly service. Some tasty healthy options are available on their in-house menu. I love the Rodeo Drive open sandwich on the regular menu, as well as the flat bread, salads and quesadillas. The lemon chicken and rice is also delicious. Tashas is always a winner!

Tasha's Morningside is my personal favorite Tasha's all them all. There is a buzzing atmosphere, it's loud and vibrant energy creates a trendy setting that you don't want to leave (which is probably why it's always full)! The food is consistently good and there new healthier menu is fantastic for health nuts like me. The service is generally good, and the staff and management are very friendly. Great spot for brunch in Johannesburg.

Tashas is absolutely fantastic for everything - breakfast, lunch, dinner, wine or tea and cake. Unfortunately, this is no secret and there is often a queue at the door. Do not fret, when your food arrives (after whatever amount of time) you will forget all about it. Every single item on the menu is delicious - and Tashas will never disappoint.

Tasha's is always fantastic!! Their coffee is great as are all of their meals..!! 👍🏼 I had a poached egg on toasted ciabatta with minted peas. Their breakfast menu is a huge attraction for me whether you're looking for something fulling, light or different - Tasha's has something for everyone. From previous outings to Tasha's, I can say that their salads are also out of this world. Definitely a must try.

This is the weekly food stop whether it be for breakfast, lunch or tea. The ambience is always stunning as the restaurant is always busy, the decor is unique and beautiful and you can't help but just feel at ease. The menu is so extensive and unique that there is always something to eat, even for the most fussiest of eaters. They have dishes you'll never find anywhere else, and each meal is always delicious. The service is fantastic and no matter what you need they make a plan to get it for you. Always a pleasure to eat here!

We had a breakfast here this morning and throughly enjoyed it. The cappuccinos were delicious and the service was awesome! The food was presented well and was worth the wait.
