Lovely place to discover. The owners motorbikes were parked out front on display caught my attention. The interior was absolutely stunning with a very unique bar and table chairs from vintage airplanes. Service was good. Owner was very welcoming.
Wow, wow, wow! Mother's Day Sunday lunch was fantastic with staff singing extremely well during the course of the lunch. Service at a measured past,vi.e. not rushed, and very friendly. The owner is on site and greets the guests. Interesting little boutique shop and a collection of fantastic motorcycles. All in all a unique experience enjoyed by all in our party if seven.

Had the privilege of treating my friends and me to dinner and wine tasting at BlueVines District and I swear this place did not disappoint.
The venue, the vibe, the atmosphere, the decorations, the food, the drinks, the wine, the staff, the music, the scenery. . . Everything about this place is *Chef’s Kiss*.
The assignment was understood.
The staff and owner were very welcoming. They made sure we were comfortable and well taken care off throughout the dinner and tasting.
It’s rather unfortunate that it rained this past weekend. So we couldn’t get much pictures outside.
But that’s no problem, we’ll just have to come back another time and enjoy the experience all over again.
Richard, the owner, is a man with a big heart. He hired unemployed musicians and an autistic man to work at his restaurant. He's giving back to the community in a big way and we request that you support his enterprise which includes a winery.
There is a spectacular view of the mountains at the back of the restaurant and food is fabulous. I had a chick pea and mushroom burger with fries to die for. Try the sea bass.
Rodger is a wonderful host with years of experience in the hospitality industry. It shows. We shared a wonderful dinner and came back for coffee and cake.

Oh my gosh! What a wonderful experience it was visiting Blue Vines. The decor is just gorgeous and the singing staff made it an unforgettable afternoon. The owner is always on hand to make sure things run smoothly. Oh, and the beautiful bathroom is an experience in its own right.

The posted photos are better than my own, but what they do not show you is the people. Although this spot is the long way around for us, I will in future change my drive to make sure we eat here! From the first interaction of booking this for the small tour group I was leading, to the day we arrived - everything was +5 star. It is hard to put into words how EVERYONE (not just those serving us) in the location was professional, welcoming, and.... just WOW!
I will end with: if you skip BluVines, you will be an idiot and regretfully miss out.... but thanks for keeping a table open for the rest of us!!
Seeing is believing. This is an experience you will never forget. BluVines and the owner will tick all your senses boxes. From the moment you see the space, you know this is something special. It is spectacularly amazing. Creative space, great food and interesting people. Much more than expected.

What an unexpected experience. Gourmet food presented in a pleasing fashion and tasty wine prickling the palate with the mountains as the backdrop. Relaxing on the elegant decor while being served by friendly and welcoming staff who does not only give great service, but have a few hidden talents too. All these coupled with management who gives new meaning to what is means to care for your community and staff. Thank you BluVines for the lovely time and for making Montagu a must stop and not just a town to pass through!
We stumbled into Montague and all the locals we spoke with suggested we come to BlueVines for a wine tasting and lunch. We were warmly welcomed, and the wines and food did not dissapoint! We were blown away by the wait staff's singing and love the ethos of the owner/restaurant. What a special place, looking forward to visiting one day again.
such an amazing place in Montagu! we were there with the family and bought some delicious wine too after the tasting. the lovely hand handsome richard weilers showed us the place in privat - which was so extraordinary! unfortunately this was only a stopp over for us - therefore we havent had big lunch there. just the tasting and some starters - but this was super delicious! well done to the whole stuff and especially richard!
An unexpected magical experience in Montagu, it was 5 star service from beginning to end. The food, wine and views were spectacular. We ordered the fillet steak, highly recommended medium rare, washed down with a glass of Miimosa Shiraz, it was that good I bought a case off it. I cannit wait to see their dinner service once up and running, its worth a trip out from Cape Town, just fir that!
You must go if you are in the area. One of the best places I have been to. Delicious food, fantastic ambiente.
Fantastic food and service. Decor in the restaurant is stunning and we enjoyed every moment. And do not miss the wine tasting for Mimosa wine which forms part of the restaurant. Great wine with my favourite being the Shiraz. You cannot miss this experience!
