Review Ye Olde Tavern - Montagu

Nice little pizza place with inside and outside tables. The staff are friendly and helpful they even did take aways for us. We did wait a bit long for our pizza however to be fair it was 7 of them. They are easy to miss from the road so drive carefully and you should see them. There is a nice bar with some interesting art work around.

Amazing food, awesome atmosphere and great service. Thank you Elvin. The lamb shank sauce was 10 out of 10 lamb shank needed another 30 min in the oven. Creame brûlée, excellent. Chicken livers were amazing. Thank you Elvin for finding me a table since you were fully booked for Valentine’s Day. Exceptional service, GREAT RESTAURANT.

Very nice restaurant with good quality food and good service. Pity you now only get one choice of the two vegetables available. This is a new rule probably aimed at money saving. It is going to cost customers leaving. If you find this helpful, please like

We stopped for some light dining on our way back to Cape Town, but wish we had more time to spend here. The food was exquisite and hit just the right spot.

One of the seldom places they offer a ‚Bobotie‘ - a real traditional South African meal. Lekker 👌 Food was good...and more than enough. Pizza has too much cheese...if you like Italian pizza. Service was really nice...good guy :) They have a nice garden in the back yard.

Shoe Club happens ones a month for us lady's and this one was amazing. Great food, friendly staff and the outside is like your own garden but better. Loved everything about this place!!

The lady who owns the place is so courteous and friendly. Always a big smile on her face that makes her guests happy as well. The food was good as well!

They just introduced a new menu and what a surprise,they always had GOOD food but the new food has lifted the Culinary experience. The warm welcome you receive is a bonus with a great selection of wine. I Always stop and enjoy something different and they have never disappointed me.

Beautiful garden to sit and have dinner in. Bread was brought to the table as soon as we were seated. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Delicious brick oven baked pizza! Complimentary chocolate truffles was the perfect touch to end off our meal. Will definitely be back!

The owner of the restaurant is amazing! Our kid eat gluten free, and she made sure that he will be happy. The best service we have had in south africa. Also the food was very good including to GF pizza

I was blown away by how amazing this place was. My wife and I doubted we would find a place to eat so late at night, but they welcomed us gladly and took us out back into a lovely back garden. To top it off, the food (burgers in this case) was SO delicious! I don't like coleslaw at all, but my wife told me to try theirs... and I finished it! I still can't fathom how amazing it was here. Would definitely recommend!

What a great restaurant experience! Good by Cape Town standards (better than most actually) and beating small town restaurants all round. Exceptionally well-prepared food. Great vegetarian options. Fair prices and good service.

Fantastic restaurant .... management so willing to please that they even printed out a special vegan gluten free menu for me. It was difficult to choose but I ended up having the veggie curry which was wonderful. Highly recommended !

The venue is beautiful! The food is amazing, portions are so big! Service is friendly. There is absolutely nothing I could fault or complain about here. Sonya has done an amazing job. It feels like home just with way better food!! :D

We were there on Sunday, ambiance, food and staff as good as they were before the change. We always make a date to go there when in Montagu.

We all chose different every body thoroughly enjoyed what they chose and could not fault it. Service was excellent , it was my Birthday meal celebration so it was special.
