Had such a great lunch here! Warm and friendly welcome from the staff. Had the lamb shank and wow! Deliciously mouth watering. Cocktail were fantastic and affordable too. Can’t wait to go back.

Lovely place. The setting is BEAUTIFUL!! When we went, it was a great vibe. The atmosphere was alive and booming. They had a deejay, which made our celebration so much better (see videos and pictures posted😁😋). We really have a great time. The only regret is the time it took for us to get our food, and when it came, it was not hot. Maybe warm. I ordered a chicken and mushroom pasta. The sauce had even harden. We counted, our food came an hour 10 minutes later. The chefs, the waiters and waitress, the ordering process really needs to be looked at again. Otherwise, great place. I would definitely recommend it, but you might have to wait a while for the food. 🙈

Went there by chance as we were in the area. Lovely venue, overlooking the dam. The food and service were really good. One of the few restaurants that we have been to where the food was properly seasoned and you did not have to smother it sauces or salt. On the down side, especially for a Sunday lunch, the music was got louder as more patrons came in. It was also more appropriate for a Saturday night than on a Sunday before 13h00.

This restaurant is a vibe, we sat on the outside overlooking the lake and it did not even feel like we were in the city. There must have been about 2 functions pre-booked and going on whilst we were there but there was no moment to feel unplaced. The food was amazing, my husband and I both ordered the lamb chops and neither of us spoke throughout the meal, it was that good. The Gratitude Celebration was also super tasty. The staff were friendly and inviting, all so positive. Look forward to trying out another item on their menu on our next visit.

We hosted a friends baby shower and we had a great time at the restaurant. Thank you to the waiters Mandla and Sipho, their service was great. The food was delicious and reasonable. The drinks take a while to arrive at the table but the overall service was great. Can’t wait to visit the restaurant again

The vibe and the atmosphere is absolutely cool especially overlooking the lake . The food was just okay..... Cocktails were not really up to our expectations . Our waiter was so amazing, including the manager who came to check on us🌼😍

We had our end of year staff lunch at Gratitude Restaurant. Service was good considering we were a large group of about 50 adults. Food was tasty, and portion sizes were generous. Loved the scenery outside too!

Really had a great time, waiters were friendly and accomodating and the food was outstanding. I had the Braised Lamb Shank and my partner had the steak and all tender all juicy but star of the show was that mash it was out of this world🙌the crumbed wings were good but the crumbs were a bit too hard and messy but thats just being to picky . Overall this place was great

my partner and i always wanted to try this place and we finally did it. the service was great, food delicious and the music magnificent. the overall atmosphere was amazing. suitable for all sorts of dining, whether with friends, colleagues or a lover. ✨

The view and the place is always outstanding. We had a very disconnect waiter who just wasn't interested. Different people took our order and brought the food. We waited 30mins for main course after our starters, the plates were cold and the pasta was just bland...no salt, nothing... And after clearing the plates, he never came back to check on us, until we walked to the front and paid the bill. He never acknowledged us or Apologized. Very bad bad service, I enjoy coming there but I'm disappointed this time.

The restaurant setting is beautiful. They were very accommodating, the meals we're delicious and fresh. Miles was a dream in helping with our booking and Mandla our waiter was attentive and patient with us. We joyed ourselves, it was vibey with lots of music and our guests had a good time.

Another hidden gem discovered! If you're looking for good food, nice view and beautiful pix... Then you're in luck. Gratitude may be new but it feels fully established as one of the greats. The deco is beautiful and dark in contrast with the Lakeview across the balcony.. Letting in light in the restaurant. The area is surprisingly quiet and the staff is calm and helpful. The music they play fits, giving the place a cross between classy and chilled vibes. I had a great time celebrating my partners birthday... I'm definitely making a return some time soon...

Looked for something different to celebrate my parents 50th Wedding anniversary. I remembered the new Flamingo Shopping Centre in modderfontein with an array of restaurants. What better place to celebrate than a place called Gratitude Celebration. "Gratitude is a place you go to for appreciation of what is valuable and meaningful to oneself and represents a general state of thankfulnes" They couldn't have said it any better. They made my parents celebration lunch something to remember and I wish the entire team all the success going forward. It opened end of 2018, so still settling and is situated on the upper level with a lovely view of the bird sanctuary. Love the decor and colour scheme, very modern and classy. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, as we had to keep opening and closing the sliding doors as the storm came and went, but enjoyed the fresh air. The menu is limited especially for the fussy eaters as its not your usual take on food, it's more for the adventurous palate, so i loved it. For starters we ordered a variety of things. 1) Tempura Prawn taco, with Asian slaw and tango Mayo. Loved this very tasty and full of flavour. 2) Slow cooked Pork Belly, with Fennel Puree, fresh Tomato and Fennel. Really good, would have liked it more if it was a bit more crisp on the top. 3) Peri Peri Chicken Livers, they didn't have Pita so they gave Sweet Potato Fries 4) Crispy and Spicy Chicken Lollipops, with a Mustard Mayo. I could have eaten a whole plate of these. 5) Chicken skewers with a middle eastern spice mix and dipping sauce. Tender Chicken and juicy. For drinks, i had to have my Cosmopolitan which was perfectly made. My mom had the Strawberry Daquiri, and I can't remember what my sister had. For Mains we had 1) Salmon tempura California Rolls 2) Twice Cooked Baby chicken, poached in an Asian stock, and then grilled with their Signature Chilli sauce, sprinkled with Lime salt. The Veggies were absolutely divine. Loved how they made it. My chicken was good, but slightly dry and would have loved it if the skin was Crispy, would have brought out the flavour with that salt. 3) Asian Style fish and Chips, Hake infused with Asian flavours fried in Tempura batter. Served with wasabi Tartare and sweet Potato Fries. 4) 500g Rib eye with braised leeks and mushroom, served with Asian bearnaise. This was just slightly overcooked and dry, as we ordered it medium. We were too stuffed to order dessert, so we were ready for the bill. While waiting they surprised my parents with a stunning gesture as they had discovered we were celebrating something, Thando came with a dessert decorated with a Happy 50th Anniversary. It was the Strawberry and Rose Mess. Quite tasty. A BIG thanks to the Owner, and all the staff (especially Tevani and Thando) for fantastic service, and kudos to the Chef. We had a great experience. The manager was very friendly and even went out of his way to host Us. We got there just after the kitchen had closed,but the manager asked the kitchen staff to make us something and it was delicious. The view was amazing and it was a very calm atmosphere
