Best pizza we have ever had. Thin crispy base with a quality flavoured cheese. Service also friendly and quick. It will be unfair to even try and compare other pizzas in the future to what we have had this evening. An abosolute must try.....!!!!!!!
Generally a good place, and food is good. Nice vibe and great selection of beers. Live music is also a plus.
Looove their crispy chips and the awesome chicken and chorizo burger. Chicken was not dry and flavorsome. Very yum ciders as well!! Good service thanks!
A huge thank you to Thomas,Gary and your amazing staff. We held our wedding reception at beach tavern on Saturday and everyone went out of their way to make our day amazing. Service was superb. Food as always was yummolicious and our guests kept complementing our amazing venue. Thank you !!

The food never disappoints!!!! Always a good vibe and good chill spot. The service is a bit slow but will most def recommend it. Had the meat platter which u shared with hubby and the meat fell off the bones of the rib. Yum yum!
Not a bad spot to end off the day! Enjoyed a huge 500 ml Rekorderlig strawberry and lime cider on the rocks - so refreshing! With a cappuccino for my partner, a side of slap chip sweet potato fries (not a fave) and some crispy onion rings all for R114! Not bad 😀 only complaint no complimentary wifi detected outside, I was told there was inside 🙁 hmmm otherwise great beach bar close to the beach, I probably should be working online this close to the beach anyways 😉 cheers guys!!!________Management is off the chain at this establishment - Thank you Thomas :-)
I'm starting to be more selfish when it comes to rating a service. Before I'd give a high rating based on 1) good service or 2) good food alone. So this is a great review in my eyes.
Our waitress greeted us with a warm smile and beautiful persona - big tops - immediately comfortable. Drink suggestions were made - I mean, I asked "what's the best craft beer" - quite a broad question? But yet she answered and dam I'm in love with this beer (plus I'm a lady). The drinks and food were good - jalapeño poppers were great. Suggestion on the nachos - less nacho, more cheese (or just more cheese). Also, not a fan of that tomato relish.
We were relaxed and not in a hurry, so the amount of times we saw the waitress wasn't a bother. I saw one or two customers demand service but there was like 3 waiters to a fairly busy restaurant. I suggest, more teamwork. Not more waiters. Otherwise the staff was great and it's my favorite place for good drinks and now good food 👍😊
I am a breakfast regular. there is great improvement in service with the new manager. I think this is one of Cape Town's gems especially for cyclist, dog owners, and beach goers.
After a previously bad experience here what a turn around! Possibly the best (really) Eggs Benedict I've have ever had. The fresh orange juice was freshly squeezed and the service was superb. The new manager on duty has really improved things. Only comment is the "club" music eminating from the bar was not suitable for breakfast trade.
So many beers on tap it's amazing! The vibe and location is very pleasant. Yet to try their pizzas but no doubts it will be good. The burgers a pretty good but not the best. The vibe, beers and view is what lures you in .

Loved the burgers! So yami!! It's a must go for burgers lover :) and it has a nice vibe, very casual! haven't tried the pizzas yet, will have to go back for that!
Really nice place with a casual and beachy vibe. I enjoye the calzone and pizzas very much! Mostly good food. Sandwiches not great though.. the waffles were stale and reheated, and the meat tasted like it had been microwaved or something. So those definitely need improvement. I would prefer it if there was a choice of breads for sandwiches since this is very much a lunch place and appeals to passers by as well as regular goers. On the whole very pleasant and by far the best of the Milnerton bunch by the beach.
This place is the best in Milnerton besides dales black Angus in paddocks.
Anything I ate from the ribs to the pizza is delicious. But nothing touches their burgers, especially the American and the chick n beast.
Quality food for reasonable prices. I can only recommend. Coming here at least once a week if I can. Every weekday has its own special. And if you like craft beer, this place is heaven in summer.
I had an amazing peppermint crisp hot chocolate it's wanted me right up on this cold Sunday. Then to eat a strange combo it was a waffle with mince and cheese. I must say it was very delicious. It's a great venue right on the beach and the vibe is very cozy.
Best burgers and great salads, love the casual beach vibe. Enjoyed the service, very clean. Nit badly priced either, will definitely go there again for the burgers

Came here specifically for a beer tasting evening, but unfortunately the staff didn't seem too clued up on the different beers, and they weren't labelled so it was a bit of a guessing game. However, the AMAZING pizzas more than made up for it, and I really enjoyed my evening here :)
Cool place on Woodbridge island. We sat outside on a sunny day and enjoyed a couple of burgers. I myself selected the bacon, feta, and avo chicken burger which was top notch. Presentation was good and the food was served quickly.
Beer selection is out of this world, pizza's and burgers are amazing and the staff rock. Never a dull moment. Definitely one of cape town's biggest up and coming spots. Recommended to anyone looking to have a good time
I came here when they first opened, but I retuned the other day and I have nothing but praise. They've expanded their menu, and their craft beer selection has doubled! The burgers are great, and the service was good too (could be a bit more hastily around the bar).
Edit: Came back a week later, and was served flat beer twice in one sitting, not their fault, but a risk they should be aware of when serving a local craft beer. Meals are actually quite average, but will return for the beers!

The best Hamburgers in Cape Town without a doubt. I have had hamburgers all over this city and nothing beats those at The Beach Tavern. Amazing range of craft beers too.

I went there with my family, we sat outside in the sun. 3 of us had delicious Burgers I had the Blue Cheese one which was delicious and my brother had one of their pizzas which he loved.

A no-nonsense and unpretentious bar about a stone's throw away from Milnerton Beach. They have an excellent selection of local craft beers. The manager and waiters were friendly and accommodating. The menu is quite diverse. I just did not enjoy the loud techno music which could even be heard at the outside seating on a Sunday afternoon. The establishment is great for sports watching - there are several large screen televisions.
We visited mid week after work. Not too busy and we were served immediately.
The menu is very typical of a "beach tavern". No fuss, light meals and drinks. Unfortunately a limited selection of virgin cocktails, but the burgers were well prepared and the chips some of the best we had in a long time.
The portions were generous and prices reasonable.
We're sure to return if we want a quick bite after work again.

Great place to get away from home with the fam or friends! The fish love your hooks at the beautiful dam!
Went around 15h00 on a public holiday, bar service was quick and friendly, beers are ice cold, but unfortunately they don't run tabs and no decent tequila.
What a great environment, a good place to chill with a super pizza menu and the 2 for R139 special made the event very cost effective. Super yummy experience with a wide menu option that cannot wait to try. Great service even in the midst of a power outage. Friendly team, who made every effort to keep everything running smoothly! Thanks all.
Always a nice vibe there. The staff are friendly attentive. Food is always great and the prices are really competitive. It's a great stop if you've gone to the beach on a hot day, or if you'd like a drink or two. Pet friendly and in winter they setup an outdoor fire pit.

Nothing spectacular, basic uncomfortable seating, not much atmosphere. The food is good however and the service is not bad. Some nice alcohol selections.

More screens than there are angles to watch. Fantastic selection of beers. Pizzas out of this world. Great vibe. Fantastic staff. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Highly recommend it. Go there!
Very nice atmosphere. Service was not the best but understandable as you were packed when i was there. But .... i have no clue what you did to my burger but oh hell was it good, best burger patty ever. All i all a damn fine time was had.
