Just wanted to grab a quick something. Really enjoy Simply Asia’s hot rock and roll and that’s what I was planning on getting. Changed my mind and thought I should give the coconut prawn soup a try. Was a bit disappointed when I got it cos it was very watery. But the taste was out of this world. I will definitely be going back for more.
This Simply Asia is halal and I am really sure that there is no alcohol served here.
Anyone there, I recommend the Thai Yellow chicken or Duck with salsa, I'm a fan of the Basil seed drinks. I think the presentation is really good even as takeaway. Also try the Hot Rock 'n Roll, (spicy tuna with a bit of avocado)😊

Thai food is unique style of cooking that I believe to be one of the worlds greatest cuisine. If its a take away or a sit down, Simply Asia is the place to come.
Watch your food being made through the huge glass window that looks into the kitchen. This authentic Thai cuisine prepared by Thai chefs is always a treat.
Weather it be chicken or duck, veg or seafood, noodles or rice, tom yum or Phad Thai, Simply Asia Will simply transport you to South East Asia,Thailand.
If the dish name gets your tongue tied than simply order your dish by number. Everything is made simple in Simply Asia.
Their dish is available in mild, medium and hot or you can order it with no chili.
My usual favorite is 514 Ba-Mee Prik phao (Roasted chilli paste and cashew nut noodles) and 301 Geang khew-wan ( Green curry ). I always order it in medium or hot. It is perfect for my spicy 🌶 taste buds.
With every order I always mention the egg fried 🍚 rice on the side. Combine it with your favorite Thai dish or eat it on its own. The sweet taste of Jasmine rice will keep you craving for more.
Most of you might find this strange,but I also have a special Simply Asia dish for when I am not feeling well. And that would be 315 Geang Butternut (Butternut curry ). Its probably the mixture of sweet and hot taste that always makes me feel better.

Quick, fresh tasty food!! Service at this branch is good! As usual I got the 514... no complaints here which is what I love about simply asia... they are consistently good no matter which branch it is. I promise to try and order something different next time !!!
Had a craving for some Thai food and luckily for me Simply Asia is just across from the cinema and it was perfect whilst I wait for my movie.
We ordered the Roasted Chilli Paste & Cashew Nut Noodles and by default the Red Sauce Noodles. The latter wasn't as amazing as the other as the red sauce noodles were a bit sweet for my liking. But nonetheless the food was tasty 😋 and we didn't need to wait for long. Not sure if my craving for Thai was beaten.
But that cashew nut noodles was divine (pity it wasn't my dish) as it had the right amount of chilli and flavor that I associate with Thai food. If you like something sweet the red sauce noodles are your best bet. I'm not a fan of green beans so I wasn't too keen on that.
Service was okay. Even though my order was taken incorrectly and I ended up with a dish that I didn't want, but the staff was friendly and willing to help rectify the situation.
I like simply Asia...haven't come across a bad one yet. The good always tastes fresh. My favourite is the 514...chicken, noodles, cashews, roasted chili 🌶...realty flavourful
The actual restaurant is really cool with a huge window allowing you to see the chefs. I ordered the duck spring rolls as a start and chicken cash ew but noodles as a main. Both were divine!! Main portions are quite big so sharing would be a good idea. Defiantly worth a try.

So if you follow me you will note i was upstairs at the Starbucks PSL launch with Zomato before deciding i wanted something hot to eat. So i'm sorry about the lack of pictures but my phones had died and honestly i forgot when i got home.
Well on my way out i decided on Simply Asia, one of my favourite places ever, although i have to admit they have lost some of their spark recently.
In any-case i ordered the yummy one with the chilli paste and cashew nuts, but instead of meat i went the tofu route. Now the one thing i mention almost ever review i do is what i like to call the "Franchise Conspiracy of utter and eternal evil" and it shows its face again here.
Back when the first couple Simply Asians (lol) opened up, their food was not only of the best quality but the quantity was madness, i remember having a prawn dish once and not expecting to get more than 3 prawns from personal experience with other places, but no it was packed and delicious.
This time however i got like 3 tofu's, tofuns, *insert plural of tofu here*... whatever... the food was still delicious, veggies tasted fresh and again extra hot was wildly satisfying, however you cannot possibly charge people for chicken, or beef or tofu and give them 3 tiny pieces.
So in terms of value for money , Simply Asia has simply fallen off and its sad to watch because i really do enjoy the dishes prepared at this place.
But hey after eating i was happy and full so i still give them a deserved 3.5,
Do you even get bad Thai food? I ordered the medium Seafood Thai Red Curry with jasmine rice and it was delicious although the medium is quite hot. My only problem is that the seafood consisted of 3 calamari rings and 5 tiny prawns with lots of veg. I really expected more seafood based on the picture of the dish on the menu
I went at an exceptionally busy lunch time. Service was excellent. Food was fresh and tasty. I am impressed how they coped with the long queues of people.

Tried this place for the first time after hearing so many rave reviews. Definitely didnt disappoint, food was really tasty. Tried the 514, the hot is very spicey so I loved it!
Fresh, tasty food and an affordable price, had to wait 10 min extra but was worth the wait. Lady taking orders was pleasent. Vegetables were perfectly cooked and fresh. All covid rules adhered to.

Was surprisingly tasty for a noddle in the box type of resto. I was looking for something very spicy during my stay in Pretoria but couldn't really find anything of the sort. This place did not disappoint in terms of its spiciness
It's a nice breakaway from processed junk food...wholesome flavourful food that's so light and easy...kids also enjoy this meal
Had the most delish coconut prawn soup here. Caters for moslems as the food is halal.

Order placing was fast and efficient. 514 wasn’t too flavorful. 622 was spot on. Everything served in take away boxes with plastic spoons and forks. Sat in the food court.
Simply good tasting food. The food is well prepared and you won't be disappointed. I'd recommend the 536 it's a pretty good option but generally whatever you pick should generally be really good. The staff are friendly too which makes for a pleasant experience overall.
Loved the Honey'd Duck and pickled vegetables. Duck was really tender and well flavored. Just double check the mild, medium and hot categories on other dishes as you may not get what you ordered - but they will remake your order if it's their mistake
Really good service, a good mix of ingredients compared with other Simply Asia restaurants. Good choice for vegans too. I recommend option 514 with tofu for vegans and your choice of meat for non vegans. The food court is pretty comfortable to sit down and enjoy your meal.

514 chicken hot.. My standard order. Without fail and consistent quality. Healthy fresh meals prepared in front of you as you wait. Give the overly processed take aways a break.. These are Thai flavors at is best
After reading one or two bad reviews I was hesitant to try this Simply Asia, but my craving won. I was greeted and assisted by a super friendly gent behind the counter last night and my food was ready very quickly. The noodles was superb, so yes. This Simply Asia willsee me very soon again!!!
The Thai food is great and well flavoured. Very good quality accompanied by high class service! I really enjoyed food and the vibey atmosphere after the long shopping spree at the Mall of Africa.
Great Thai food. They offer a huge variety of different meal options, from chicken, seafood, veg, tofu etc. My favorite is always the Tom yum linguine and the roti with sugar and condensed milk for desert. The Basil seed drinks are definitely worth trying. They offer rice and noodle options as well. Food is always freshly prepared and delicious. Very authentic, full of flavour and good portion sizes.
For very cheap I get good food.
Was amazing experience at biggest mall in Africa.
Those are type of experience which we never forget.
I give a really good advice, to enjoy this place.
