Review Barcelos - Midrand

The welcome was warm and friendly. The service was excellent as well as the occassional/frequent, "Is everything okay" visit to the table. The owner was amicable and engaged in a lovely chat with us, yet always making sure his presence was not an intrusion. What a lovely eating experience. I will definitely not hesitate to visit soon

Enjoyed the breakfast. Simple and economical. I must say the cappuccino was so good. One of the best I've had.

Excellent. Order from here often. I've never had anything but positive experiences here. Food is always of a high standard. Staff always friendly. My chicken takeaway of choice.

The staff greets you with a smile, and fulfill your every need as asked. The food is Devine and the taste is a treat 💕💕

We went there for supper. The had their birthday special on provided value for money. We were attended to quickly and our food arrived on time. The restaurant was not very busy which is a plus.

Chicken is always fresh and hot. Staff are friendly. Mr. D. options as well. Sit down area is clean and alcohol is sold here. Keep up the good work Barcelos Kyalami Team.

Super amazing food. The food was so good that I didn't bother about anything else. Really well done. I just hope this can be maintained.

The chicken is quite different to nandos but is also really good. Prices also compare well. Chicken livers are excellent.

Have yet to be disappointed. Nice change to Nando's. Taste is more tangy and the super peri is way hotter than the Nando's extra hot. It's worth a try.

A decent fast food option in Jo'burg. Their burgers and Grilled Chicken are good. Didn't try their veg options. Ate at couple of their outlets and they are acceptable.

A clear case of ‘manager not present’ behavior. I do not recommend getting takeaways if you don’t have at least 30 minutes to wait. Second time for me, never again

Worst burger in the world! The portion size of the fillet was ridiculously small. Considering their burgers cost more than a KFC rounder or Mc Donald big Mac you would assume it would worth it. However, this is not the case. When bringing this to the attention of the manager she said that they cut the portion sizes at their head office. Lol what a joke. I did not pay for the meal and left.

Raw Food not worthy of human consumption. Health inspector please pay this place a visit as the quality of food is of a hazardous nature. Takeaway on a Saturday became throw away!

Ridiculously slow service. 20mins and counting for my order. Not even that busy. Hopefully the chicken will be worth it. Other people complaining about the slow service. Order took 40 mins for 1/2 chicken chips and a burger. Burger bread soaked in sauce. Chicken was white on the outside? Was this even on a grill? Wedges were tough. Staff not really clued up. Will never say anything bad about nandos again.

The chicken was still raw and when we told the waitress about it, she took the chicken off the plate and never came back. The bathroom was also disgustingly dirty with pee on the floor in both male and female bathrooms. This makes me question the staffs hygiene and put me off the rest of my meal completely. I will not be returning to this Barcelos until something changes.

1st time at this Barcelos & three customers complained about their orders being incorrect & these clowns argue amongst themselves & to top it all, they got my order wrong too.

Great food. Great service. Food was hot and fresh. Waiters and waitresses always checking up on you. Family meal was good value for money and very tasty. Deserves the repeat visit

Second time we've come here for take aways. The first time around everything was good, had the special, whole chicken, garlic bread, coleslaw and rice for just over R100, bargain! Second time around had the same special, got home only to find the chicken still raw on the bone, as it was after 9pm already I didn't go back. Food takes forever to be made , so order ahead.

I have yet to be disappointed with the food and service! Haven't had a meal from here in a good while and was pleasantly surprised to receive the same great quality food as before. Keep up the great work👍

Good food and goo service. Go there if you want a good meal to satisfy your chicken craving. I had the chicken burger with wings, both at super peri. It is better value for money than Nandos, hands down!

Very friendly staff, so so helpful and patient. The food was amazing too, well prepared and everything tasted fresh and amazing, love the cosy feel of the decor and setting.

I was told that the chicken here was the best Barcellos so I tried . This store is located in the kyalami centre opposite the garage and easy to find. <br/><br/>The meal was tasty and cooked well. The staff was helpful and quick. The chips were also fresh which was a big yes for me.

Staff were extremely friendly and had a really good sense of humour. The family meals in particular are much better value than competitors and (I think) tastier. Innovative packaging design and a great experience overall. Hot options are not as hot as they should be though. I will go back here.

Will never go there again. Bad service. Kiddies meals are standard with a sauce unless you mention it to them. Which doesn't help if you are a first timer there. Chicken was terrible. Staff and manager on duty not competent at all

Good food, service and atmosphere. You guys will definitely be seeing me again. Reasonably priced, so if you're looking for a meal to fit that month end pocket, give Barcelos a try.
