Review Plantation Cafe - Midrand

I attended a babyshower there and the service was great. The food was absolutely amazing(starters and main course), I thoroughly enjoyed it. The waitress who was assigned to us was very helpful and served us well throughout the entire function. I would consider using Plantation Café if I want to host an intimate function. Great service all round👌🏽. The only thing that I was not happy with is the fact that they do not sell/serve mocktails, which is a pity but I'd still recommend the place.

The hosts were very gracious, patient and extremely helpful. Our event was such a success, the decor was stunning, the food was delicious, the vibe was 100%. Would recommend with no hesitation.

Very friendly service and they try really hard to please customers. Food was actually very nice for a light snack or meal good idea for lunch in a business area. Keep up the good work ;)

Convenient location for business meetings, or a quick lunch. Nicely placed in the middle of Sandton and Pretoria. Service is good and have a nice menu. There is a kiddies play area to keep the kids busy, with outdoor seating. The place is split into a coffee shop like area and a restaurant area. Think the toilets can get a refresh.

They have the best service and they cook the best food, clean place and very friendly staff.

Quiet & peaceful, I have always liked that set up. If you love a noisy place, this is not it, but really great for parties..

Great spot and great food. Thats where the greatness ended for me. The alcohol comes at a price you expect to find at a night club and the service on the day was all over the place. The manager/owner was available that day and he was alot of help but I wonder if he is available regularly

Amazing food, great venue for events but doesn't feel like a restaurant. Also better off sitting outside, inside feels old and dirty.

I eat here every week... Order at work and it is delivered. They know me by name and the food is very good. I have tried almost everything and it is also affordable.

not very kid friendly... kids play area had open dirty bins. Service was also slow and disappointing. Food was less than average. will not come back.

being down the road and passing it every day to work we gave it a shot. To brunch we went on a quiet Saturday morning. The experience was slightly disappointing. A toasted sandwich that wasn't toasted, a bland arribiata pasta and a long wait leaves much to be desired. the fact that they started packing up (1 hour before closing time) whilst we were still eating didn't help. an average experience for a premium. This place was a disaster. Firstly the atmosphere was dead and cold. The floors were unswept and the waiter was clueless. We ordered steaks and their upside down burger. The patty was one of those frozen patties you buy at a supermarket and we paid 80 bucks for that...the worst part is that the food was cold when served to us. <br/>I would never return to this place and I would not recommend it to anyone. It's sad cause the venue has potential but management and food is below par

Our experience was not very pleasant. We had booked and paid (We were initially told the venue hire is free, then we were expected to pay) for our venue more than a month in advance and the venue lost all the information we had given them , twice, in respect of our menus, times and advertising on their website. They removed the furniture we had booked with the venue, lost our menus, bullied us out of our scheduled time and had another group interrupt our event to set up their props while we were still in the middle of our speakers presenting.We felt bullied and treated with great prejudice. We won't be using them again!!!! We have made the same recommendation to our network of 1000 consultants.

This was my destination for breakfast on Saturday While the restaurant is small, the atmosphere is lacking. The restaurant was extremely quite for one reason or the other. On to the food, my cousin and I ordered standard breakfast options. Eggs, bacon, mushroom, sausage and toast. The only difference was that her breakfast came on a pita and was called a tower although it lacked in height. The food was average at best and beef sausages were severed (instead of pork which most places serve for breakfast). Not much else I can say.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere! Very calm and serene. Their milkshakes were delicious! Portions were reasonable and the steak was cooked well. I do however wish the chef's special with the mushroom sauce came with more mushroom sauce and a small side portion salad/ vegetables.

hm. my spicy chicken wasn't spicy. the drumstick was dry. my muffin tasted burnt, I wasn't even sure what flavour it was. so oooooo dissapointing. made my tummy sad. To quote Madiba "Never ever and never again!"

Delicious fresh pizzas. Drinks were quite pricey, but nice setting, very chilled and relaxed. Perfect separate area for our private party. Waiters were attentive and we didn't wait too long.

Service was very slow. We were neglected for long periods and had to continually ask for everything from cutlery to crockery. Not sure we'll come back, ever. Disappointing experience. Untrained waiters. Orders forgotten. Poor customer experience.

Pleasant little establishment in the heart of Midrand.Really enjoyed their wood oven pizza.The cakes could be improved upon. Other than that enjoyed the place, good service too.

I visited Plantation Café a few days ago with my SO, Yash Lucid, and his parents. We happened to be there on a night that hosted a baby shower and bridal shower, so seating was a bit confusing. We ordered Mexican chicken pizza (which IMO lacked any significant Mexican flavours) and a Tandoori roast chicken that was flavourful but a bit dry. The parmesan accompanying the pizza was also very old, but was replaced upon request. The atmosphere was unsurprisingly bustling. Overall an average experience and average food.

Quite a bit pricey...the only cheap thing is their breakfast and pizza special....of which would prefer the Pizza to be a little less burnt and less salty. Otherwise not a bad joint, something new in Midrand

I like this place cause it's one the few places that had a vast vegetarian selection. From wraps to pizza. Had the veg wrap before & this time around had the Haloumi Sensation; which is an open sandwich with haloumi, Avo, rocket & grilled mushrooms. Once again not disappointed with their food or service.

Stunning and so misleading...they have a massive restaurant with such an awesome vibe, really relaxed! Food is awesome, from freshly prepared pizza's and foccacia's through to mealt in your mouth steaks and then insane sushi. EAT HERE!

The atmosphere here is so peaceful, especially considering that you are in the midst of Midrand. Great service and friendly staff. The food is always nice, and they put a lot of effort into decorating the as well.

Visited here for a 30th - especially catered for in a stunning marquee. <br/>Not sure how much the restaurant had to with the decor ? <br/>The food was a standard sheep on the spit - was delicious - salads were fresh. <br/>My only "moan" is that the drinks are excessively expensive. <br/>The service from the assigned staff to the function was great !!

The food is amazing and affordable even on a student budget and it is very quite. Only two of us when we went there. Closes quite early on a Saturday (7PM)

Great, friendly vibe. Place for kids to play. Love the R45 pizza special, one of our favorite take away pizza places when you want something simple and cheap

We went here one Sunday and enjoyed the relaxed, chilled vibe of the place. The recommended Upside Down burger was a smash hit with hubby and my finger-foods basket was a just-enough-sized portion and really tasty (especially the chicken strips with sweet chilli sauce!).
