Review Minnetonka Spur Steak Ranch - Midrand

Our waiter had a bit of an attitude, she did not tell us her name and we were rushed to making an order. We asked for the manger who speedily and politely addressed our concerns. The food was amazing, variety of drinks and establishment is clean.

I loved this time I came here. At first, I wasn't looking forward to coming here AGAIN, but some other Elders wanted to go, so yea. The first time we waited forever, it felt like the food was a bit cold. This time, it was amazing. Food came fairly quickly. Everything was still warm, and it tasted amazing. I'm very sad about the Monday special. The price for it has just been skyrocketing, very sad. Otherwise, great atmosphere, great waiter, and great food. I have no complaints.

Even though my booking was super last minute for my daughters birthday, they nailed the booking location, the food was really good- first time in a while from spur, and the service was good too. 3 ticks. The child minder was safely ushering all the little kids up and down the stairs and played bouncer when a bunch of teenagers tried to go into the play area. Will be going again soon

Last week I complained about the waffles, I got a call from one of the mangers, he asked questions and he promised us better waffles next time we went, so on Monday we were served by a wonderful female Shantel, my word amazing service excellent, we ordered the waffles again and oh my word were they not delicious. Thank you to Sbu and Shantel.

Had a birthday party for my daughter. She had a fabulous time, staff were always ready to assist. Food was done well, lovely family venue.

Service was fine but for the first time in many years, I didn't enjoy my food .. Otherwise everything else was fine

The breakfast was great, with good service and a awesome atmosphere. They have a very big play area and nice view off the outside. What is really nice is that they give you those tags that you see in stores with the clothing that when you take it out of the store it alarms, so basically you can attach onto your child's garment.

Great restaurants with lovely stuff. Classic go to place for South African meat lovers. You'll get a good steak at a good price. Be warned though that if you are a spur regular. Expect a decrease in portion sizes. It's the same through all the spur franchises. It's still a good place for family and friends and a South African favourite. Nice sport to catch the rugby and enjoy the Heineken special

Always a great space to have a cool time with the kids. The play area is fun for the kids and the food is just as amazing. The staff is pleasent and very responsive to request. You will love it here.

The waitress greeted me with the most welcoming smile and was absolutely amazing. The breakfast was tastefull and sooo good. If I stayed closer I would go more often.

One thing you gotta love about franchises is relying on the vibe to be emulated across all branches. This Spur is just like any other Spur, and that's the best part. And the service also matches up with the best Spur's you've been to. Kids love it and they got enough plug points during loadshedding.

Very disappoint.. The service is so bad dat I ended up walking to De cashier to ask for my bill coz I waited an hour for my waiter to come by..after finally getting De bill My waiter decides to keep my R40 change without even asking me so I waited another 40+ minutes b4 seeing him nd asking for my change�..

The waiter told us that our meals would ready in five minutes, we got our dfood after an hour. He ordered us to pack our take aways. Went to the mall of africa today, the que was short, we got our food withong 15 minutes, waitress was very friendly and she didnt make empty promises

I haven't been there in three years. Yesterday when I went the service was brilliant and the food was amazing. Michael came to me all the time to check if everything was good. Michael ever since you became manager a lot changed. Three years ago he would service me now his the manager. Awesome non Michael

I went back to spur last week Sunday was blown away by our experience. Michael & Flippie (I think I may have gotten his name incorrect) the managers, recalled my recent bad experience a few weeks ago and this made certain that this time was different. The orders were correct, receive on time, perfectly prepared made certain we that everything was in order. Before our drinks were finished he topped them up again. The manager, Flippie (I think :-) ) turned a terrible experience for the children into a good one.

Very poor service in general. The waiter did not know the ingredients to a specific menu item, neither did she take the time to find out. Ordered a vegetarain quesidella and it tastes really bad. Will definitely not be back here again as the attention to detail and service was really bad.<br/><br/>

Brekkie was good but dont bother with the toast. It a real joke, they should rather serve plain bread. If the menu says 'grilled tomato' don't believe them....it's a lie. There's little difference between the tomato received and a microwaved tomato (I'm assuming). Service is deteriorating, I'm sure that's attributed to the new waiters but that's no excuse to misrepresent a franchise.

Spur is just one of those places you go to and just know what to expect.<br/><br/>So many people know their favourite meal, having a menu is just a "show piece" or maybe checking out new specials...<br/><br/>The fantastic thing about Spur is.... no matter which one you dine at, be it Sandton, Midrand, Kzn, Cpt, Bloemfontein.... you know exactly what to expect.<br/><br/>The current special is amazing. Their birthday special comprises either a 300 rack of ribs, a 200g steak or a shnitzel... then the choices of veggies.<br/><br/>It's just right.... so for the next two days pop into Spur.<br/>Your R50.00 will take you a long way...<br/>Just be warned the que's are incredible as for the next few days...people all over will have a taste for life.<br/><br/>Spur, the atmosphere is always electrifying.<br/><br/>Many thanks to Theo, Sandile and Tinashe...you guys are amazing...being on your feet NON-STOP

Good Service and Nice food. We come here because our daughter loves playing here. Tried Lamb Chop, BBQ Chicken breast, Chicken Cheesy Quesadillas multiple times and it was always perfect in taste.

Don't bother visiting this branch.We went on new years day and was not greeted at the door, the vibe was dead.staff were shouting and talking to each other at the entrance and totally ignored us.Sat down and we didn't feel comfortable and walked out immediately.

It was awhile ago, so hopefully they would have changed for the better... but my experience here was not a good one. I had a "baked potato incident", where they just kept bringing me burnt baked potatoes.... <br/>My husband tried out a soya burger from here - he's usually a meat fan - but he seemed to enjoy his meal... The service wasn't so great though. Not a place I would give a second chance easily to...

I value consistency and value for money. <br/>I believe this branch is neither. <br/>There's no reason that a branch gives you tasteless slapped together meals , mass produced with no care just to get orders out. With small burnt wings, bland ribs smothered in sauce for oompfh.all the while holding high prices and average service.

Great food, underrated and one of the better SPUR's out there. Staff are on the ball (when it's quiet) and you don't wait forever and and a day to get your food. Kids play area is of a decent size too!

Great service! Our waiter Vince was so friendly and helpful. This branch is on top of their game, the food is fast and tastes like spur food should. I am really impressed with them!

Spur is one of my favourite restaurants however i have always had bad experiences at this branch specifically. Service is very slow recently. Food is not cooked properly. Burger buns are stale. Very disappointing.

This spur is actually not too bad. Mostly friendly staff. Great manager's who are attentive. Bring the kids along and no fuss. They had a blast olaying games and were well looked after. Great spur taste for life experience. Great spot for spur dinner. The food was precise with a couple of picky people at my table.

Honestly really slow. I'm doing breakfast here as we speak and in pretoria I've found that spur is not shy at all with any portions even if it's a breakfast special you will receive a high level of satisfaction. But this 1 is different. Small ass portion of food. 1 piece of bacon when the TV ad shows 2. Exactly 10 chips and that's Wat u get. Nothing more or nothing less horrible service and no urge to go the extra mile or up sell at all

I was pleasantly surprised by the service as I was greeted by a trainee waitress and while she got a little confused by the order, there was a more experienced waiter nearby ready to sort everything out quickly. Try the drifter breakfast if you haven't tried it yet. It's on special and great value for money. I've lately been put off by bacon and eggs but I seem to be able to easily wipe this plate clean.
