Went for our Christmas lunch today. Amazing food, sorry did not take a photo of the starter and main, but had the Argentian Style Fillet (soooo tender and flavourful) aand had the Passionate Lemon Cheesecake. A colleague had the chocolate mousse.

Excellent restaurant. Very attentive waiters. Great view. Small hiccup with my chicken, but the manager and kitchen were very apologetic and made up for it with yummy dessert. My husband's steak was top-notch, and the sweet potato chips are the best.

We had a Beautiful Evening! Although we called only 10 minutes before arrival, we were received with warm, smiling faces. A great way to celebrate my husband's birthday dinner. Our waitress Sibongile was courteous, friendly and attentive. She even brought over ice cream with a sparkler upon learning that it was a birthday celebration...it was Sooooo appreciated 🥰. It was my second time at the restaurant; the food and service did not disappoint. We opted for the biltong to share for starters, my family had steaks, done perfectly to their requirements including sides. I opted for the half portion lamb chops and veg. I am bummed i didn't have the full portion with leftovers for this mornings breakfast 🥰. All our meals arrived hot, well presented and everything tasted fresh and absolutely delicious 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽. Turn and Tender has now become a family favorite restaurant 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 NB. I dived into my lamb chops, so i forgot to take a proper picture of it. I guess I will have to go back 🤩🤩🤩

Lovely restaurant with good friendly service. The food was fantastic. My fillet was like the promise soft and melt in your mouth accompanied by spinach butternut and cabbage. My husband had the ox tail with mash which he thoroughly enjoyed, was flavourful and fall of the bone.

The set menu of either 2 course (starter or dessert, and main) or the full 3 course works out to be quite decently priced. Food was delicious, well-portioned and piping hot on arrival. If you like your steak medium well, ask for medium though if you have it on the skillet. Staff was also very friendly and attentive.

I love the ribs but the stake is ok. Their roasted veggies are perfectly cooked and crunchy. Service is also great. Ask for a table at the balcony coz the view is great

Meat meat oh meat, everywhere I look there you are. Brown, sizzling and tender if how this place presents it. Each time I go to a meat place I have the ribs and usually at meat places, they don't disappoint. At TnT they're savory with not too much sugar. However, my ribs were tainted with some chilli and something sour, which made me wonder about the conditions in the kitchen. The floor manager was at least polite enough to take them back to the kitchen and rectify the mistake. My dinning companions ordered a steak and more ribs. Overall the food was good, though none to spectacular but then again what is spectacular with all the formulaic dining places in Gauteng. The ambiance was good, although too warm for me. Nothing garish on the walls but the restaurant is large and open suitable to large groups. Overl, this is a good restaurant and I'd recommend it to meat happy dinners. The place also has what appears to be a comprehensive wine collection for a great accompaniment.

I live abroad and come down for a week My daughter was dying to go and have a steak But what a disappointed They had a special and we though yippie seeing that my daughter wanted to try the steaks we went With the heavy traffic we got there at 3:40 and the waiter said the steak only until 3:30 we just missed it There was no signs but the add did say terms and conditions apply but these conditions where not stated Any way we order Blue steak and hot medium to well done and the hot plate was not at all hot enough to kept the steak hot The steak was a pale looking color as if it was dipped in hot water and based with that terrible sauce It was not good at all it's the worse thing not eat a steak with that sauce that was brushed on and served My daughter ordered the ribs and steak and steak and calamari The Calamari was really poorly cooked and the serving was enough for a starter Really was not great at all For a steak resturant this is so far from the truth We will never return or ever recommend

We went to Turn n Tender K90 Boksburg yesterday for the birthday special. I was worried that at R41 for a 300G Sirloin with a side that the steak wouldn't be great. I was completely wrong, my steak was absolutely outstanding and done to perfection. On top of it all, the restaurant was jam packed for the special but we received our food quickly enough to be back at work in plenty of time. The waitering staff were very attentive with the managers helping out wherever needed. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely go back!

Was such a disappointment... Went to celebrate my final exam from my studies., at the Menlyn Maine square. though what a nice place.. Got there.. the waiter was pathetic.. Firstly the table was dirty , never cleaned, the waiter didnt even bring us any cutlery. Ordered our starters, which took forever and when we got it my Squid heads was over fried and ice cold.. but my husbands chicken livers was great. Waited for the server/waiter to bring us any cutlery.. had to ask another waiter to bring it to us.. which then I send back my started as it was cold.. got it back after another 15 min.. which it was even worst, so fried it was awful and still cold.. we changed our minds to not order dinner.. paid and left.. even complain by the door lady which seemed not fazed at all didnt see the manager at all.. not even an apology.. Worst ever.. I would not go back ever again.

Turn n Tender Illovo is consistently amazing! Went there for Mother's Day yesterday and although the restaurant was packed, the service was on point and the food delicious. We were even presented with a complimentary bottle of wine to take home to commemorate the day. (Notwithstanding the fact that there was a shooting incident down Oxford Road, the staff maintained their professionalism and ensured that patrons were well taken care off). Well done Brian - your team rocks!

I called the restaurant in Brynston to place an order at 9pm today, I ordered the lamb chops and ribs, I’m really disappointed as the ribs were rather spoilt, off, they were drowned in basting maybe in the hope that I wouldn’t notice it, they were so spoilt and smelly even the dog wouldn’t eat them. Disappointed. Honestly I’m never going back!

We went to try out your restaurant in Waterfall last night and it was such a disappointment. I ordered the surf n turf, the calamari was so dry and chewy (inedible actually) fillet was rare instead of medium rare and the cheese sauce tasted like processed Melrose spread. For R230 for that meal and being specialised in steaks I would expect the steak cooked correctly and also make a cheese sauce from scratch not from a packet. Your foccacia for R60 was so mediocre and too heavy. We felt very ripped off at the end of the night. Won't go back until I know the quality of food is better.

My husband's steak calamari main was outstanding and my vegetarian patter was perfectly seasoned and ample. Been there many times. Last night for first time ordered takeaways and collected personally. I ordered a 300 gm fillet steak. Imagine my shock when I opened the box at home and found a tiny steak..I know my steaks. This was not even 200gm. An eagerly awaited meal was a disaster. The baked potato dwarfed the steak.

This restaurant is a good dinner option for a special occasion. Although the prices are pretty high especially for the portion sizes for some of the meals, the quality of the food is fantastic. The staff were also more than happy to allow me to choose half portions of each of the side options. Would definitely go back.

The ambience is okay, the service is somewhat average. The food is good however they do have questionable portions especially on those combos. The music is played at a good level. You dont have to shout to for your companions to hear you. <br/>The lack of Gin glasses is annoying. Their Tap beer selection is Very limited.

We went as a group of four and each of us had a different impression of the food. Some of the food was delicious - the fillet with the chili basting, their herb mix and the bar one milkshake. The rib eye was tough and chewy and was definitely overdone. In general, we found the meat to be cooked inconsistently and not to order. The service started off as friendly and helpful but was a bit lacking towards the end of the meal.

This was our first visit to Turn n Tender , <br/>Ordered the ribs and spring chicken and hubby ordered the steak and wors.<br/><br/>Haha the steel plates make the food super hot , the beef ribs were good ,chicken still needed more seasoning, wors was excellent . With the creamed spinach , would've been nice if it was more seasoned .<br/><br/>Great service <br/><br/>Sat at the patio, a bit humid because of the closed glass doors , but it became much better .<br/><br/>Overall it was good .

Went for supper at TnT last night. Warm welcome when I got the entrance and shown to my table. The view was spectacular. Ordered still water and opted for a 300g fillet - grilled with a chilli basting - accompanied by a cheese-garlic sauce. Fillet was well prepared and I was impressed with the sauce! Keep it up! (Food was so good I forgot to take pics of the food....)

We went through to Turn n Tender Waterfall on the weekend and it was absolutely awesome. We've been twice and the food is truly amazing, the service was outstanding and the mojitos were devilishly delicious. The atmosphere is also super chilled. Would highly recommend going.

I popped by this place for lunch and sat outside on the balcony. I always prefer to sit where there isn't a lot of noise and a lovely view and so the balcony was perfect. <br/>The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I unfortunately felt that service was a bit slow and I had to regularly try to get the attention of staff.<br/>The food portions are extremely generous and I love that about this restaurant. I had their chicken which was well done however there were a couple of burnt pieces that was not to my liking. I also tried their lamb which was tasty on its own but a bit dry. Next time I would definitely get it basted with their sauce that they offered and I'm sure it would be much better. My favourite meal was the calamari starter which was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. I'll definitely be back to try out other meals.

Wonderful experience! Had the focaccia and snails to start - Amazing creamy sauce, had to lick the small pan they came in.<br/>Had the rump with chimichurri as a main to share - Superb tender steak! I have no words to describe it.<br/>Finished off with the red velvet cheesecake which just melted in the mouth. Can't wait to go back 😍

I called the restaurant as I was in the area to check if they had availability, considering it was a Saturday and most restaurants take reservations I had to double check. Well not surprising but it was fully booked, the lady on the phone was very courteous she asked how many we were, after saying table for to she responded by 'you can come through ma'am we'll make a plan'. <br/><br/>When we got there we waited less than five minutes, service was quick and perfect. The restaurant was very busy, I like how spacious it is. The cocktails don't come in small glasses which is good considering the price 🙈. <br/><br/>The food was amazeballs, forgot what we ordered for our starters but for the entrée we ordered Ribs with Lamb Chops combo also Steak with an option of Vegetables except my partner who did chips (I personally and not a fan of their chips). <br/><br/>The meat was juicy, tender and very fresh. The sauce used on the ribs was very tasty. The portions are big and one doesn't finish the plate but there's an option of having your meal as a take away. The ambience was awesome.

The steak here is awesome. They know what they are doing. Also awesome that you can custom make your dish the way you like it. I do wish I had the vegetables instead of the fries though. But that doesn't change how awesome their steak is. This is definitely the place to come if you're looking for a perfect steak dinner.

I enjoyed my time here. We had a birthday celebration and our waiter was so involved! Ordered a mozzarella and biltong burger - the burger + mozzarella was great! Biltong however was really chunky and hard so I ended up taking out the biltong pieces - didn't mix very well with the burger

The food here is great. Tender and tasty cuts of meat and the 700g fillet to share is properly delicious and good value. Location and vibe lekker. But, the only craft beer is from Cape Town and it isn't even that good - stock standard mass-produced barely craft beer from two microbreweries. What's annoying is we have an awesome brewery just down the road, less than 2km away, and a bunch of others in Gauteng. Such a nice way to support local industry and your immediate watershed area. Worth making the change

Really like the decor of this place. Decent service. The floor manager was kind and came around asking if we were ok. Had the cheeseburger (accompanied by a man-sized portion of chips). Good beef. The chocolate mousse dessert was cakey and not very appetizing.

Less than impressed unfortunately. The restaurant is beautiful - very spacious and trendy. The service was quick but not extraordinarily good. When asked about recommendations we were just pointed to the four special dishes in the front of the menu, very predictably. There is no "bread"-round to help you look over the menu and our side plates were very unceremoniously removed when we didn't order starters. <br/><br/>My husband had the special ribeye and I ordered the lamb loin chops. We both thought the meat was chewy and sinewy and frankly a little tasteless. Neither of us ordered sauces, because we like our meat flavourful and enjoyed as is. <br/><br/>Winelist has good selections. Creme Brulee dessert was ok. <br/><br/>For the prices charged there are restaurants aplenty I enjoy more.

I attended a friend's birthday party. My 1st experience was good. My meal was superb and portion was huge - I had the marrow bones with tomatoes and mushrooms - tasty, tangy, spicy and rich. The atmosphere is quite loud and festive.

What great service, very friendly and proactive. <br/>The venue is neat, with a nice view.<br/>The food is average.  I had the pork ribs, the basting was boring, it could have had more spice, smoke or even sweetness, just something that doesn't taste like its out of a 5L bottle.  My husband had a rump steak with the chimichurri sauce.  He enjoyed it and it was cooked like he ordered.

We didn't have a booking for this place but we got a table on a Saturday night without any hassle. Our waitress was friendly and had a good knowledge of the menu. <br/><br/>We sat outside on the balcony and saw the sunset over Midrand which just added to the atmosphere.<br/><br/>The biltong carpaccio was melt in the mouth. Our steaks were presented beautifully and cooked perfectly. The frozen margaritas just complimented the whole meal. <br/><br/>There was no long wait with anything yet the atmosphere was relaxed. <br/><br/>Definitely recommend this eatery the next time you are in Midrand.<br/><br/>

Went for our anniversary dinner and service was probably the best we've had at any restaurant so far. Hats off to the waitresses and waiters. The food however was nice but can't be compared to the Illovo branch that we have been to a few times before. Could possibly have been the selected cut (800g long cut sirloin to share ) but the meat is not of the same quality than the Illovo branch and tasted like it was frozen and defrosted just before cooking. Would love to give it another go but they need to look at their meat quality though...

So not exactly the most amazing restaurant, it looks good but the food was not too amazing. Iceberg lettuce was used in the chicken salad, the menu didn't specify what type of tomato was in the salad. I don't like iceberg lettuce and I don't eat cherry tomatoes. In my, mind the menu should tell you what specific variations there are in the salad. The amount of avo in my salad was truly a sad situation, 3-4 very very thin slices. The sirloin steak was not tough in the traditional sense of the word but it was just exceptionally firm and not have much flavour to speak of. The creamed spinach was a disaster. It had absolutely no taste and quite honestly just tasted like the creamed spinach you can buy at Woolworths in a packet. Service was pretty good overall but that's not enough to get me to go back any time soon.

Great vibe that is simple and classy. The food is cooked to perfection with the flavours that are ready to tantalise your tastebuds. We had the beef and pork ribs and lemon herb baby chicken. Whilst the ribs are amongst the best I have eaten and the setting is great, it is the service that has me rating it a 5. The waiters were polite and responsive. The waiteress saw my wife struggle with her teeth and brought toothpicks. Just a small example of the exceptional caliber of service.<br/> <br/><br/>Brilliant and I will be back again and again. We decided to try the latest addition to an ever deteriorating restaurant chain. Recently I've come to expect disappointment from all the branches and Turn n tender waterfall in vorna valley didn't surprise. The food was at best average. Had I been given charcoal instead of beef ribs I wouldn't have actually know then difference. They also use a scale on how to cook steak that is different to how I understand it as the medium rare fillet I requested arrived practically still mooing. My girlfriend sent two potatoes back for tasting strange and found a bone in her chicken breast. The best part was the extremely helpful and enthusiastic manager. We called him to discuss the above and his reply was that he thinks that they are using old potatoes because a lot of customers have sent them back. Absolutely no hint of the concept that they will stop serving said potatoes, just a blank expression and a "sorry". This helpful reply also applied to the bone in the chicken. What else can I say but it saddens me because Turn n Tender used to be a terrific location with high quality cuisine. Unfortunately many if not all of the branches have turned into an overpriced fast food joint with average and even sometimes below average product being served. Don't think TnT waterfall will be seeing me for a while.

Been here twice for dinner and found this place quite inconsistent. The first time we ordered steaks. I ordered medium-well but the steak was very well done with way too much pepper basting. It was not pleasant. They got hubby's order wrong. The replacement fillet was supposed to be medium but was more rare. Dessert, the bar one cheese cake, was dry and tasteless. The second visit was better for me. The steak was perfect and sauce was better. Ice cream and chocolate sauce was good. They still good hubby's good wrong. Seafood ordered by others was food. Not sure if I will good back anytime soon. Would rather spend the money at Meat Co. or Sandton Butcher Shop & Grill.

We went for a farewell dinner for a colleague..love the location and ambience..the service is extremely slow we had to constantly be getting up to look for a waiter..the food took extremely long took cone, starters about an hour and mains nearly 1 and a half hours and that too in drips and drabs..I enjoyed my virgin mohitjo..for starters I had the veg platter which was tasty..my steak was not cooked medium as I requested and came cold on a hot plate that was cold too..my chimichurri sauce for the steak came 20 minutes later (after I practically threw a fit)..I could not stay for dessert as it was allready late and I was not prepared to wait another hour with shockingly poor service..I don't think I'll be back ever by choice.

Humbly decorated, with a great view of Vorna valley, you find a steak house which by its own right can compete with the very best steak restaurants. The meat is served to perfection, the Argentinian souse is amazing and the bread with garlic is soft and to die for. I give them 9/10. <br/>The service is good,they are on the ball most of the time and importantly always have a smile on their face. Our wine took a little long getting to the table, but none the less they were good, hence my score of 7/10 for service. <br/>I would recommend them, and will absolutely be back myself.

Lovely setting and beautifully crafted interior. Be sure to book in advance as it's extremely popular. The food, service and management are excellent, however, on all our numerous visits the kitchen has been consistently slow in delivering the food. Thankfully the food is outstanding, so it softens the blow of a 50 minute wait.

Terrible steak, actually the worst that I ever had, far behind the other Turn 'n Tenders.<br/>The "steak" looked like a boiled unidentified piece of meat, almost white in and out, no grill marks, I have sent it back to be grilled a bit hoping that it would taste like a steak .... nothing changed except for burning the vegetables...looks like no one cares, no one asks why a steak is sent back twice, the "manager" did his rounds, asked how is my meal, I told him that it's bad ... he was not interested.

Another winner close to home. Ample parking, spacious inside and a vibey atmosphere. Service was great. The wine list has enough variety. Their biltong starters are tasty. We had the pate with toasted French bread. The rump, with TnT basting, was tender and delicious. The spring chicken was slightly overcooked though. The Cosmopolitans were a nice treat. We'll be back 😬.

Went for a bday party last night here. My first time at this new restaurant. Service was good. Food portions were very generous and food was great. Except my chicken breast was abit dry. The steaks looked great and those that ate it loved it. We were a group of 16 so our orders did get abit mixed up. But that was sorted out well. Warm cosy setting and great place overall.

I luv having turn n tender close to home. I rate their steaks highly. And this one is no exception. I had a fillet steak (medium) with blue cheese sauce and mash potatoes. This tnt has a lovely outside area that overlooks the mall of Africa...nice setting.

This newly opened Turn & Tender in Waterfall lives up to the true tradition of this fab steakhouse. Decor is modern and very intimate - staff are very friendly, attentive and on the ball. Food is fresh, tasty and comes out the kitchen quickly - KevFabFood can highly recommend the de-bones chicken and the very tasty and soft fillet - the Oreo Chocolate Mousse is Devine...just the perfect serving size! My only negative is that the tables seem quite close to one another - so when the franchise is fully booked may seem a bit cramped and on top of one another. This is a true gem and excited for its successful future! Bravo - bravo!

Stopped by for an early quick lunch yesterday. For a store that's brand new (fire alarms were being installed as we arrived) . <br/>There is already something right about this branch. It had the feel that it had been there for years. It has a perfect indoor outdoor area for those sunny winters days and I bet will be amazing on a summers night.<br/>The service was attentive and yet not overpowering. Landed up ordering a double portion of bone marrow in broth cause they got the first one so right. It was better than the potions if had at the other branches for years. <br/><br/>We had the sirloin for two... Which is now my go to order cause of the quality and value for money.<br/>Cooked perfectly rare and the sizzeling plates just hot enough to sear the slices to that warm rare one would expect.<br/>The only negative of the meal was the mash was slightly lumpy. But it was not realy noticeable. <br/><br/>Famous brands / turn 'n tender you guys have got this branch right. Thank you best of luck for the future. <br/>
