Review Caramello's - Midrand

Caramellos is definitely a firm favorite of mine for a good breakfast. They have a few banting options as well. Their prices are good and I haven't been disappointed in their food. The waitors are friendly and attentive. The added bonus is that this branch has an outdoor play area for the kids.

A beautiful little gem. The food is amazing and dare I say the service is even better. This was truly an experience to be relived. The restaurant itself is quite aesthetically pleasing with a chilled, cozy vibe. There are many options which means you'll most likely find something you're looking for. I also found it to be more affordable than expected. It's absolutely worth the visit.

Such great tasting food, and uniquely different style...keep on going back for favourites and trying the rest if the menu..

Served Fresh, Hot and Tasty. Great breakfasts, ask in store about their cupons specials they running sometimes you save over R 100.00 off a meal per meal.

Great Food and amazing vibe

Ordered food through Mr D from this restaurant, however couldn't find sauces for the steak on the menu of the app so I called in and one of the managers (nicolene) helped me out and assured me she would personally watch my order once it came through. The food was delivered warm, and was just how she promised it would be regarding the sauces. Also it was absolutely delicious.

The owners are heavily involved, resulting in a homely family-friendly experience. Really good food. Try the steak. The updated menu gives really good options, from vegan to banting. 2 thumbs up.

I received such great service here. Th food here is absolutely amazing and surprisingly well priced. This is going to be my new regular spot- it's clean, peaceful ..I love it

Fresh ingredients, fantastic menu and great people. We love their breakfast/brunch offering... And they also offer a few surprises, one of them being great tasting spare ribs!

Two stars for the poor service received from the manager (Etian) and for the appalling quality of food served to us. We ordered the Parma ham and beetroot salad yesterday at around 1.30pm. Thabo, the waiter was amazing. When the salads came, they were too big, so we asked Etian to pack one for take-away and decided to share the one salad. We started sharing it onto two separate side plates, only to find the most disgustingly wilted, soggy and slimy greens strategically placed at the bottom of the bowl. We immediately started picking them out, which made half the salad. Then we complained about the quality. Thabo took it back to the kitchen and manager to show them what we had picked out. Guess what? Instead of apologizing and replacing the greens, Etian appears with a boxed salad, asking "is everything okay? This one was checked". I asked him to cancel the second order and he stormed off with a nasty attitude. The wilted greens were never replaced, by the way<br/>So we had half a salad for R120. Etian told us that they wash their lettuce in salt water. So what? Duh!

When it's BAD... oh boy does it get UGLY!!! This is Joburgs VERY UGLY.... Caramello's, Blue Hills Shopping Centre, Midrand gives both BAD and UGLY a brand new definition. The kiddies burger arrived burnt that even the little girl who was so hungry rejected it. When the replacement arrived it was presented with rotten lettuce leaves which had long, long ago reached their sell by date! Clearly no food is checked before it leaves the kitchen let alone checked when collected for pick up to the customer. The 3 different chicken breast arrived looking so unappetizing and all commented how tasteless they were. When the bill arrived we were flabbergasted.... one of the guests commented.... sweet Jesus they have got to be joking!? Over R500 with the tip (not the poor waiters fault), we left angry, ripped off and hungry. The place lacks atmosphere, vibe, service and management knowledge and skills. Guys you don't have a clue what the hell you doing, get out of the business and stop ripping customers off! Caramello's Midrand to be avoided at all costs, beyond disgusting

This is a new spot that opened at Rosebank Mall .I don’t think they’ve listed yet,so I’ll just review under this location . <br/><br/> I have a sweet tooth so I was keen on trying this place out when I saw their gorgeous cakes on display . But truly not all that glitters is gold after my experience here.The place is really gorgeous ,it has a beautiful painting in the background and has a homey feel to it . There’s also a large outside seating area that overlooks the mall ,if you prefer to be outdoors . <br/><br/>The service was good and no complaints on that side . I ordered the caramel toffee fudge cake and my friend a chocolate cake . <br/>My my my ,what a disappointment . The sponge of my cake was so dry. The cream seemed to be frozen not sure if that’s how it’s meant to be .A very underwhelming cake,my friends wasn’t any better . <br/><br/>Maybe their food dishes are way better . But for the cakes it’s a complete no from me.

Stunning atmosphere and awesome menu selection. Staff friendly and meal was terrific. So close to kiddies play area is an added bonus. Well done......
