Im very impressed with Mad NoMad at mall of africa ! Was my dad's birthday and my parents anniversary. I had told them only at the door about the celebrations. The food, staff and service were outstanding. They organised plates that said happy birthday and happy anniversary then took a picture and presented it to my parents printed in an envolope. Outstanding place i will be back very soon.

Excellent service and amazing food. The belly dancers were spectacular. Thank you for making my birthday so special.
What an experience! From the amazing reception you get when you arrive, right through to when you eventually leave - the service is incredible! Stunning atmosphere and delicious food. Loved the belly dancers - just added that extra something
Great and tasty food, excellent service...and well priced for a lunch. Thank you

fabulous flavors and a wonderful setting
Great service, great food...beautiful place.
I’ve visited Madnomad twice before and ordered the falafel wrap on both occasions. The wrap was simple and delicious. On this occasion, we ordered the baby kingklip and the king prawn dish. Service was fast and friendly. The waitress takes the drinks order and a manager take the main order. The food arrived within 15 minutes. The kingklip was the large, very large and cooked on the bone with lemon butter, basmati rice and some grilled veggies. Similarly, the prawns were served on a bed of basmati rice and a side of grilled veggies. Both dishes were amazing and packed with flavor. We ended the evening with a Turkish delight creme brûlée which is my new benchmark for what a creme brûlée should taste like.
Loved every bit of this Turkish inspired restaurant and it’s fine dining set up approach.
The service was sublime and the food was SO good!
We celebrated a birthday dinner and Nomad made it extra special for us. Their attention to detail was much appreciated.
Loved it!
Very good menu, hard to choose where to start from but I always finish with a Turkish coffee. Good SOuth African wine list. A place to come back
Delightful Turkish food with lots of flavor. Pide’s where tasty and meze’s where fresh and appetizing, would recommend the Tabbouleh Salad as a fresh start to the meal. The desserts stole the show this evening, the chocolate brownie had the right balance of gooey and chewy, choc mouse was smooth and silky, baklava’s nut, honey balance worked well and the Turkish delight creme brûlée was interesting to try.
Overall great evening.

I had a great experience at Kream and when I saw MadNomad was a restaurant by Kream, had to try it!The venue was nice, but a little bit dark.. The food portions were generous and not badly priced.
For starters I had humus with flat bread, which was delicious. We also had a tabbouleh salad.
Mains - Mixed grill platter was great, as I got a little taste of everything. It's a big platter, and easily shared by two, like I said generous portion size.
The complimentary Turkish Tea and starter breads was really nice, we were lucky enough to see two belly dancers as we were on a Saturday night.
Will definitely be going back for more!
A wonderful ambience, great food, generous portions ! The only downside is you are allocated 2 service people, one waiter and then the order for food and non drink items is never taken by the waiter, the waiter only takes drink orders, all food orders have to be placed with the other consultant ! Overall a good experience
Post Valentines Dinner at Nomad was amazing. The service was faultless.
The food, from the breads and dips that were complimentary to the vegetarian platter was delicious. The best falafel I have ever eaten. Hubby ordered the meat platter and they graciously substituted the beef for lamb. It says a platter for one however it was huge.
They also are a no pork restaurant as well.
The best end to the evening was the Turkish delight creme brûlée, perfect crack with the smoothest and creamiest custard with the slightest hint of Turkish delight which was delicious and not overpowering.
The entertainment was great as well.
Will definitely be back to try the pide.
So it was my first time at nomad. Took the kids for a celebratory dinner. Food was good, service was good and the chocolate brownie was amazing!
Absolutely loved the food, the service was impeccable. I was reminded of Greece so much. Turkish food may be my favorite now. Beautiful restaurant as well, the belly dancing was an enjoyable
Try this place for something different. Service was excellent and all the food was delicious, especially the lamb. After a starter each, we shared a mixed platter and took half of it home. Good value. Interesting decor and upbeat tunes too.
A pure gem from the owner of Kream. The staff was very friendly and not overbearing at all. The inside of the restaurant gives you that feeling of being in a tent. Loved the ambience!
So we decided to skip mains and only to have a lot of mezes! All perfectly prepared I may add. As I had previously eating authentic Turkish traditional food in Istanbul, I have to tell you that the quality and taste is up to par and some dishes were even better. To end the evening we shared a portion of Baklava...Never had pistachio Baklava so it was heaven. Not over the top sweet I may add.
I the end it was a great experience. Pricey, but you get quality. So my last comment..I really missed Künefe on the desert menu...maybe next time?
This is by far the nicest restaurant in Mall of Africa, in my opinion. Beautiful decor, good service, tasty food and not overpriced like many of the others. The Pide is one of my favourites, but all the food we've had here has been pleasant.
What a great find. Any where one finds great service, a fantastic menu, fresh tasting food and drinks to match is worth sharing. The mild Middle Eastern vibe is a nice change in overall experience as well. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself.
What a lovely experience, from the ambience to the service from the friendly waiters, to the stunning food! We had the famous Turkish dish, it was seriously delish! Will def be back!
We had a wonderful experience at Nomad, the service was incredible, our waiter was efficient and kept topping up our jug of water without us even having to ask. A stand was brought to our table to hang up our handbags and packets. The complimentary bread was so tasty and fresh and came with salsa and tzatziki. We ordered the falafel and pide sucuk (folded flatbread with Turkish sausage), which was really good! The baklava and halva ice cream was the perfect way to finish off the meal (although the portion size was a bit small). This restaurant is definitely worth visiting, the ambience and decor are something special and makes you feel like you could be in another country. I am definitely keen to come back when they have the belly dancers performing on Friday and Saturday nights.
It has a very nice vibe and the belly dancing is excellent. The waitress and waiters were very efficient and kept the glasses full. The food was excellent, will definitely be back.
Great place for Turkish food. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Entertainment provided on Fridays and the weekends, for the whole family. Would definitely recommend this place for a night out.
Nomad is by far the most authentic Turkish restaurant we’ve come across in Johannesburg. The service is absolutely excellent and so is the food. We thoroughly enjoyed the Cig Kofte which we haven’t had since our last stint in Istanbul and it was sensationally good! Our Manti and Beyti mains were both excellent, the beyti kebab was tender and delicious, the mango so generously filled- definitely a must have. The Sucuk Pide could have done with more sucuk though. Overall, a really good experience, keep it up.
A friend recommended this charming restaurant on the newer side of Mall of Africa. To be honest, I didn't even know what about this new section. Once again we were the last to leave. The restaurant was so welcoming and the manager and his friend kept us entertained with stories about Turkey. This is an authentic Turkish restaurant serving food you would find in Turkey.
I started the night off with a kitch Turkish Delight cocktail. It was sweet - just how I like it.
We had the flat bread and salad as a starter together with the most unique spiced beef tartare served in crisp lettuce. The spicy taste is slightly overwhelming at first, but it's flowerful taste gives it real Eastern fair.
I had the shavings of meat as a main. This is how schwarma meat is meant to be served, but in SA most schwarma restaurant speed up the process and just fry the meat. This meat tasted soft yet still had a juicy meaty taste. The tomato based sauce was thick and filled with flavour. This portion was pretty big and I couldn't finish it. I had the rest the next day and it tasted just as good cold as it tasted served hot.
The restaurant is beautiful. The decor is simple and stylish. Being a Turkish restaurant they could have opted for obvious pieces to decorate it, but I feel they kept it classy and clean while maintaining a Turkish feel. We were lucky to arrive just before the Belly Dancers performed. This was a nice touch. Try go when they have the dancers as it really will spice up your evening. The toilets are clean and the waiters are friendly and helpful. Another nice thing the restaurant offers are shishas or hubbly.
I really enjoyed my time at this charming restaurant in the Mall of Africa and would definitely recommend it to friends.
I absolutely love Madnomad. I’ve been to Turkey twice now and can say that the food here is great. The flavours are amazing and slightly adapted for the South African palette. The iskender kebab is to die for and the service is good.
I think the review of below 4 is harsh as I think people are expecting something else. It hits Turkish cuisine on the head.
Beautiful decor. Great service and excellent food that is so reasonably priced. Had the lamb Shawarma - which was a generous portion. This will definitely become a regular spot.
How this place only has 3.5 makes no sense. Get your taste buds checked! i'm not going to beat around the bush with this review, best restaurant in jhb. Thats all.
03.03.2018 After walking around M.O.A for the first time, I remembered a new restaurant that has opened here. Love Turkish food, fresh flavours with spice.
The restaurant is beautifully setup. Clean and modern. Love the decor. I was a bit confused on entry as we had someone to show us to our seat. Then someone to take our drinks order and another to take our food order.
Quite a few options to choose from, but I decided on something light. The Adana kebab, which came with freshly cut fries (Spicy Lamb Minced Meat with Lettuce, Onion, Tomato, Hummus and Tahini With Tzatziki Sauce Separate) I was expecting a bit more spice and a bit more meat inside the Shawarma. My sister had the stuffed Meatball and the Urfa kebab. Both tasted quite nice but not as spicy as we wanted it to be.
Would love to come back and try a few more things and dessert.
Attended a family birthday lunch here a week ago. The food and service were excellent. Definitely something different for the Midrand area. Highly recommend.
Had an amazing experience at Madnomad. The decor and set up of the restuarant is wonderful and all the staff are very friendly and super attentive. In terms of the food, we a Mixed Platter and Wow, every single piece of meat and all the trimmings were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The meals aren't cheap but they're well worth their prices and are incredibly satisfying. We then ended our night off with some Turkish tea which is always great. We also experienced some of the belly dancing entertainment (only on Saturday evenings) which was awesome and adds a nice touch to the overall experience there.
So all in all a Delightful a place!
Wonderful service! Very friendly and helpful staff! Food was really good too. The decor is brilliant too! Will definitely be visiting again. No complaints at all!
Awesome venue with a brilliant vibe, excellent place to hangout after a hectic day!
Food is authentic Turkish cuisine, service excellent, expected nothing less from Kream, with the mark of excellence.
Entertainment with belly dancers, creates an Awesome Turkish experience.
A must foodie visit.
Great night out! Food, entertainment, service, decor, ambiance. Nuff said! Go see for yourself!!
Tried the mixed grill which had a bit of everything. Tasty!
The current rating of 3.3 is unfair. It's only based on very few reviews. Atmosphere is great, upmarket with cuisine to match. Everything besides the chicken was succulent and grilled to perfection. Pumpkin dessert is supreme. Well priced for what you get. Note: Belly dancing on Saturday nights which can sometimes come in the way of a good conversation but otherwise good entertainment.
Update - unfortunately the service is absolutely rubbish. Waited literally 1hr and 45 minutes for food. No apology and no explanation. Further update - management, in their own accord, have us free desserts and drinks due to delays with food. Well done.
Stunning resturant, with amazing service and even better food... Would highly recommend Mad Nomad for a special meal out! Authentic Turkish food at its best...
Lovely set up inside restaurant. Pleasant & helpful service. Food tasty. Pls provide more dips with the breads and main meals. Overall good experience & I would return:)
Loved the ambiance; prompt service from Portia, Reason & Kenny the manager; delicious food and friendly staff. Perfect way to end the afternoon. #totallysatisfied.
Great entertainment.
I love the look and ambience of the restaurant!
The hostess did warn us that it was s little loud outside but hey the heatwave had just hit Joburg so we wanted to sit outside. Once the beautiful belly dancers were done, the music was soft and the atmosphere changed altogether :)
I ordered the gin and strawberry cocktail- it’s my new favorite drink! Then some lamb chops, perfectly done but over seasoned. The rice was out of this world, my best friend kept eating from my plate.
Their dishes are abit pricey, fine dining is I guess. They could do with more dishes on the menu.
Fela, Thanks for the great service- I’ll be back soon!
A delightful Turkish experience!!!
Madnomad is a beautiful new Turkish Restaurant at the Mall of Africa, powered by Kream.
The service is excellent with attentive, pleasant serving staff and owners.
The Turkish breads were unique and tasty.
The platter for 2 was a hit and allowed us to experience the various lamb, beef and chicken dishes. The meat was well prepared, succulent, and absolutely delicious. The accompanying rice was flavorful and complemented the meal.
However, the Turkish tea and Turkish delight ice cream was mediocre and could be better.
Overall, a great dining experience and I will certainly go back for the meat dishes.
Probably the best service we have ever received at any establishment. Well done to the Kream team for upholding fine dining service in a completely different setting! The decor transports you to a different world. We had an amazing experience based on the manager's recommendation (he came by, explained the menu, and also takes your order). We shared a few things off the menu and everything was divine. Loved the flavours and unexpected combinations, also enjoyed that they suggested how to eat the breads and that we were encouraged to use our hands! The Iskander Kebab was the star, the portion was so large we were convinced that they served us two! Our waitress was superb and received a large tip accordingly. Definitly worth the visit for those who love to try new things. Also extremely affordable!

This Turkish style restaurant was enticing and the people there made me feel like a royal. The food was so tasty. I would definitely return.
I went in for supper on a Saturday night. The restaurant was fairly busy, but I was able to get a table. I would recommend making a reservation in advance as the wait without one could be long.
The decor in the restaurant is quite stunning and the food did not take too long to be prepared. I had the adana lamb wrap. The portion size was a bit smaller than I would have liked, but it is personal preference. The wrap came with a side of chips. The wrap has good flavor and was tasty.
In terms of the service, they were a bit delayed. At some point, I requested water while eating, and that took about 5 minutes to arrive. I would prefer this to be a bit quicker. However, it may have been due to the number of patrons that were there.
The Turkish restaurant that offers more than just a meal - it's an experience that transports you to another world. Their expertly crafted dishes, inspired by the vibrant flavours of Turkey, will take your taste buds on a journey of their own. But it's not just the food that makes Nomad Mall Of Africa special - it's the unique vibe that envelops you from the moment you arrive. Their carefully curated ambiance creates an atmosphere that's more than just a restaurant - it's an experience.
Perfect to enjoy a night out with friends or a romantic dinner for two, Their friendly staff will ensure your visit is nothing short of spectacular, and the expertly crafted menu will satisfy any palate.
Loved the atmosphere here. Unique entertainment with belly dancers that graced the floor every 30 or so minutes. However, the music was too loud (only when the belly dancers came on the scene). The food was good. The king clip was delicious and so was the avo and pomegranate salad as well as the burgers and Margherita pizza. I ordered a lamb pizza which l did not enjoy. The meat seemed under cooked. Drinks were good as well. Starters ranged from R55 to R80. Meals varied from R90 to R300 for most of them.
Wonderful experience at Nomad for Dinner. Went there on a Saturday Evening and the place was quite busy but the hostess got us a nice comfortable table.
The service was great with food coming in reasonably quickly even though they were quite busy.
Tried the mixed grill, pomegranate salad and kunefe for dessert, and all dishes were beautifully plated and were quite delicious.
There was also a musician/Dj playing lounge music and playing his guitar. The music complimented the vibe of the restaurant. There’s also a covered section for people to sit outside and enjoy Hubblies.
Overall, wonderful experience and definitely recommended.
The food was good however the restaurant has loud music playing. Luckily there was a space that was quiet or I doubt the experience would have been pleasant for us. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with assisting us make our choices. Pity there are limited healthy options and that most of the meals and vegetables are fried. We had the calamari main with peri peri sauce and chicken skewer and enjoyed both.
The food is really great. But it takes sometime more in preparations. Atmosphere is really nice.
And thanks Cleo Patra for your great delivery of food and helping me to choose food.
Fantastic Turkish restaurant serving authentic Turkish food. The menu is extensive and mainly consists of Turkish food.
We had a Turkish pizza and baklava for dessert. The Turkish pizza is quite a portion, so be prepared. Good cocktail selection too
Waiter did not pay attention to us. Waited a while. Literally, after saying, "Please bring the bill...she made us wait for 20 minutes before she coming back.
I don't know if it's because it's really busy or it was a situation of some people get special treatment than others based on how much they are paying for. But the food was nice. Just didn't like how the waiter took her time or made an attempt to seem friendly.
A Turkish restaurant with a taste of South African cuisine. We always enjoyed our meals each time we visit this restaurant. We never have any issues nor complaints. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The price range is affordable not expensive and the food portions are more than enough. The atmosphere is always nice. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants at Mall of Africa.
The food is nice, I like their feta and Spanich Pides.
The service is good and there was a dance Performence during the dinner time.
We had:
Baby Kingklip R249: This I'd give a 4/5 it was succulent, buttery, light, and melts in your mouth. Would have given it a 5 if it was deboned.
Sheep head R179: This is easily the nicest sheep head I've had, tender. Cooked to perfection. 4.5/5
Tomahawk R409: This was also done to perfection, juicy, and full of flavor.
The place is beautiful, and I had a nice vibe, a beautiful interior. They have comftable couched and outside space for smokers. They have hubbly, which I thought was really cool.
Thank you so much Nomad, for making my daughter's sweet 16 birthday celebration more memorable. You are awesome! I now know where to go to celebrate events. You allowed us to bring our cake, decor and champagne. Keep up the good work and excellent. Regards, Lebo
The food was divine, the service was excellent, our waitress name _ Felicia, she got our order corrected and the wait for the food was not long the prawn were done to perfection. The lamb chops were amazing and the atmosphere of the restaurant beautiful. I will sure be visiting again. Stunning restaurant, Great service, Food was excellent.
Loved the food, had sheep head, oh my God😀😀❤️❤️🔥🔥....
The waiter was very humble, and very helpful...
The only problem was the hubbly🖐🏽, we sat next to ladies smoking hubbly, and my wife ddnt enjoy the smell of it at all...
My new favourite restaurant in mall of Africa! Food is just amazing. The cocktails are unbelievable!! The people are friendly! The music sets the perfect tone! I highly recommend visiting this place if you are in town. It's a bit out of site depending in where you enter from which makes it a hidden gem. Easy 5 Star
Fun, festive atmosphere and tasty food - Turkish inspired. Service was good and prices reasonable. They allowed us to bring our own decor and cake for a birthday celebration. A lovely complementary birthday desert. Will definitely go again!
