One of my favourite new dining experiences in Joburg! The restaurant itself is bold and quirky with off beat decor and bright colours. The food? Omg, the food! Amaze! Loved the modern reimagining of traditional Cape Malay dishes. All flavours were perfectly balanced with sweet, salty, and a delightful textures. Of the 6 dishes we sampled, none could be faulted, but the star dish was the seared tuna with vegetable biryani - a flavourful spiced fish served with a biryani that had a hint of sweetness. My only gripe is that this restaurant was deadly quiet. Please visit and support this incredible spot. You'll have an incredible meal and fabulous service!

Pure personality!! If you're looking for a non-generic night out, then this place is it! I've tried Cape Malay food a handful of times before & this place was incredible! Great local cuisine with a twist & attention to detail. The art, the owners & the hip diners also add to the buzz & great ambience. The only way to describe this place is: eclectic elegance. Definitely give it a go if you're keen on an innovative & delicious dining experience. I'll be back for seconds!

A fantastic newish restaurant on the Melville strip for those looking for an original meal out. Don't expect fast food or instant service but delicious flavour combinations and non generic menu items to accommodate all tastes as well as a vegan option. The menu states that the beef is free range and grass fed with no pork in the kitchen. I'll be back!
