The pizza's are excellent and the cocktails are on another level.
The staff are friendly and the atmosphere good.
We drive from Malmesbury to enjoy their pizza's and I don't see us stopping anytime soon.

Only comment is that the waiter brought the bill to us straight after we ate without even asking us, which we found strange.

Deeeelicious pizzas... in my opinion, the BEST on the West Coast. The way a pizza should be... wood-fired, thin base, fresh, high-quality toppings with proper mozzarella cheese... like I said DELICIOUS! The atmosphere is also very cool with sunsets, and chilled locals, beers or wine, doggy-friendly and vibey. And then of course, the staff are rad; laughing alongside us. Great place on Melkbos strand, had breakfast one day and lunch another day. Fantastic views, excellent service, great food, very friendly staff and value for money. Will definitely be back on our next holiday from Ireland.

We were seated at the bar counter and the young waiter was so consumed with his mates who were enjoying a pizza that we received no attention. We left after 5 minutes waiting for service. We went next door to Melkbosstrand Kitchen, were seated at a table with great service and fantastic food. We spent a fortune having a good time. Sorry for you Melkies. You need to get your act together. We will not be back.

Stopped for a coffee & really enjoyed this little cafe. The cappuccinos are great & very attentive waiters. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have any cakes but other than that it was enjoyable.

What an unexpected gem! We came for a light lunch and the pizza was amazing. I had the Honey rose bacon, perfect wood fired pizza with paper thin crust, wonderful flavor. Had it with the Devils Peak Pomegranate pale ale, great pairing! The service was friendly and attentive. Had the milk tart ice cream for dessert, my partner had the waffles with banana and honey and loved it. We loved Melkies too!

Lovely little spot up the coast! Along the mini 'strip' of restaurants you'll find it, and it's quite small so I can imagine getting a table in busy times might be a but if a hurdle.<br/>We grabbed lunch here on the weekend, enjoying the sunshine. I had an Eversons cider which went down well and refreshing! We both opted for pizzas, wooow so good! Quite gourmet flavours - one with chicken and creme freche and the other with honey bacon - both really delicious and tasty.<br/>Will definitely venture back!

Such a cool little place with casual trendy decor and tasty food. So badly wanted to rate them a 4 but they're not quite there yet. <br/><br/>They serve a selection of tapas and pizza, as well as breakfast, bagels, and sweet treats. Their tapas portion of ribs, although tasty, could've been more tender and saucy. Also, I didn't feel like there was much meat on them bones! <br/><br/>The Especiado pizza with chourico and chilli is super yum, with a good hit of chilli. The base is thin and crispy too - just how I like it! <br/><br/>Although the bread and butter pudding, made with croissant is super delightful, I found the ice cream neither here nor there. It was more airy than creamy - I don't think it was of the best quality. <br/><br/>Their chocolate croissants are out of this world, and although the outer covered seating area is chilly in winter, they do provide heaters and blankets. But you'll probably still feel a little cold on a very miserable day, which can put a dampener on your experience, so dress warmly. <br/><br/>They offer a good selection of craft beers, as well as Rekorderlig cider, which I absolutely adore!<br/><br/>The service is young and friendly, and I love the vibe. I'd definitely drive out to Melkbos to visit again.

Rough and rustic! A real hang out for the Melkies locals. An amazing selection of beers and fabulous pizzas.It is so totally relaxed with a lovely cosy vibe and a nice offering of assorted meals to cater for many tastes. Chill out and enjoy this humble unpretentious place. A place that one can linger longer over a few drinks and tapas.Good coffee too. Remember to take some additional cladding during winter as its a place to chill in more ways than one!

Looking for a good pizza on the Melkbos beachfront? Then this is the place to go! They have very interesting pizza combinations but my favourite is the smoked salmon and cream cheese. The bases are super thin with delicious toppings. You always get service with a smile at this little gem.

Popped into I love Melkies with a friend and our kids for the first time today. We wanted to have a quick coffee and something sweet.What a wonderful experience. The staff was really friendly and our waiter recommended the last piece of chocolate cake. Well I must say it was the yummiest double chocolate cake I've ever had, and I was so pleased that I got that last piece. I will definitely be back, the food coming out the kitchen looked divine. I think I've found my hidden little treasure.

A very charming little place with a beautiful view of the beach. Decor is a mixture of wooden beach house & trendy. The coffee is excellent and they have a good collection of craft beer. We were there for breakfast and everyone ordered a frittata which was rather disappointing. It tasted good but the portion was tiny & everyone was left hungry.

Popped into I love melkies, cause I was looking chilled place to open my laptop and do some work. Free Wifi!, greeted by friendly service and indie chilled music playing in the background, I was sold. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but the Apollo Blonde Ale, tingled my taste buds.

I love the vibe of I love melkies! It's like Cape Town hipster meet chill Melkbos. Well something like that. <br/><br/>We ordered our drinks and food, and both came before we knew it. <br/><br/>I was very impressed with the fact that they stock Fiery Dragon Ginger beer. I've only seen one other restaurant stock it. <br/><br/>Service was fast and friendly, even though it was apparently our waitress's first day. <br/><br/>The pizza was absolutely amazing and its the crispy crust that makes me come back for more every time!

We waited for more than 40 minutes for our food, during that time the power went out. I initially thought it was load shedding but it turned out that they didn't buy electricity?! They also decided to serve a moaning lady who came in much later than my table before serving me, so I guess that's what I deserved for not moaning. Not impressed.
