Food is great and MXO is the best waiter I have had in a long time - he even learned Afrikaans phrases to be able to speak to us! MXO for waiter of the year!
At last the Spur was upgraded to a better establishment! My last few meals at Spur was not great and staff attitude even worse. RJ's ribs was excellent and service great. Menu also caters for wider variety of tastes. This family rib and steakhouse exceeded my expectations.
Suggest to also list on Tripadvisor - RJ's has the potential to progress to #1 status (always exceeding expectations). It fits in well with the Margate "face-lift".
Just had a exceptional meal at the new RJs, In Margate, service was friendly, food fantastic, so surprised with the birthday song and ice cream, 5 Star will definitely be back soon.
Nothing beats an RJS meal!!! Always tasty and value for money!!!

What a pleasure! Just returned from dinner with lovely full tummies.
The restuarant is well decorated and clean. There's a play area inside for the children.
You have a lovely variety to choose from on the menu.
Our waiter was friendly and engaging without being overbearing.
I had the plain chicken livers, and it was a true delight. It was cooked in a way I've never encountered, but it was GORGEOUS.
Mains was the chicken supreme. Delicious! All was topped off with their yummy malva pudding.
Best place in Margate to take little ones. The play area is bigger than the actual restaurant! Kids are looked after well by staff. Food was amazing and staff super helpful and professional. I seriously doubt any bad reviews from other peeps. I'll be back to RJ's Margate!

Great kids area and great place when it rains. The staff are friendly. In busy season make sure you book ahead of time.

I had low expectations because of the reviews. Our waiter, Njabulo, was top notch. Every meal we ordered was delicious and better than most restaurants. I will definitely be back next time we are in Margate. This place rocks. And absolutely phenomenal play area for my boys.
I am most impressed with the pricing on the menu; the food is absolutely divine& moderately priced. I had the option of creating a combo, rump steak & queen prawns with veggies on the side, and it was soooo good value for money! The place has a hookah lounge, bar, kingdom slots area, and a play area for the little ones. All of these are not viewable from the restaurant so don't worry about your kids learning how to pull on a pipe😁 The staff are welcoming as well as polite and professional, I was served by Sboniso who was such a gentleman and went out of his way to make sure our visit was a pleasant one.
Fantastic play area and you can sit inside the play area and eat! Food was good, pity they didn’t have the choc volcano. Kids had a blast.

Best breakfast on the coast. So clean and friendly. If you have not been here before, you are missing out. Well worth a visit. I come here for breakfast every time I'm I'm Margate.
This steak house reminded me of the old Mikes Kitchen restaurants and had the same atmosphere even though it is in Margate.
Food was great. Cocktails were great. Slightly pricey but guess that's what you pass for a tourist town.
