Review Larry's - Margate

1st time coming here and loved every minute. Great views. Awsome food and excellent service and food.

We went here for dinner. The Salted Caramel milkshake was exquisite. My boyfriend had a 400g TBone with Cheddamelt sauce which he really enjoyed. I had the 15 piece Prawns, and the prawns were prepared well. However I was heavily disappointed by the lemon butter sauce that I had with the prawns. The “sauce” was just oily melted butter and definitely not what you would expect of a lemon butter at all.

We really enjoyed this restaurant . The food is lovely and the staff is friendly. We took our dog willow to the restaurant since it was pet friendly and we had no problems. The views from the outside seating area is amazing. There is a designated smoke area. There is comfortable seating area outside and inside. A must visit when you are in the Uvongo area.

Great food, good wait staff, was a tad dissappointed that the plaque my late hubby and i made wasnt still there....but that was many moons ago i suppose. Newly engaged couple have added their plaque, very interesting concept. Would suggest an electrician add a rheostat...lights where a bit blinding.

The food was lovely. Staff came forth as cold. And they were moving a watered-down, almost empty bottle of Tabasco from table to table for the oysters. (This was the only tabasco available in the restaurant). Otherwise, it was a great vibe and wonderful family dining choice.

What a view! Lovely play area for the kids, lots of space between tables, lovely food and atmosphere, highly recommended!

Larry's is on the corner of the suburb, the last street before the beautiful ocean greets you. There's an ocean pool and majestic rocks as your scenery. The food quality and portion size is great however the evening we arrived we had our prawns served cold. The food was delicious so we didn't mind too much. Definitely a place to visit when on the south coast.

What an absolute pleasure. The food was of amazing quality. I definitely recommend the Surf & Turf and Pork Ribs. The chef, Winfrieda, did an amazing job on our food and was kind enough to come and greet us when we requested, simply to pay the compliment personally. Our waiter, Terence, was attentive, fast, helpful and plainly a stand-up guy. Ask for him the next time you're around. Most definitely an asset to this establishment. They have a lovely kids play area, and is across the road from the ocean. Such a magnificent gem, I highly recommend coming for an unforgettable lunch or dinner.

Originally we ordered breakfast,which closes @ 12h00. Only to be told that they have no more ingredients to make breakfast due to the two public holidays. So we ordered something else. Overall good vibe.Place was cooking. Food was ok. My Hake & chips were tasty. My partners had burgers.Which they enjoyed. Chips are nice & rustic.

A beautiful way to end the day. Enjoy a ray of fantastic food as the sound of the ocean sets the ambiance for you and your family with a panoramic view of the Indian ocean.

Excellent food and good prices. Nice place for kids to play aswell. They were a little inconsistent with food quality as I was there once while they weren't busy and once during a lunch rush.

My favourite restaurant on our trip! Family friendly! Not on the beach, but has a fantastic view of the ocean! Close enough for me. The play area is outside on the balcony and perfectly safe. There is a jungle gym for older kids and a play area for the babies and todlers. Just perfect!!! We enjoyed our meal in peace for the first time in two weeks. The wind was hectic, but the children did not seem to mind at all. Our waiter was the best! They had pumpkin for baby, margarita pizza for my todler and we truly enjoyed the chicken and lamb curry! Wow! The restaurant is beautiful inside with clean bathrooms and even an activity box for children available to purchase. In my opinion, the PERFECT place to visit with family. Thank you!

I ordered a rump steak with green salad. Steak was slightly more done than I prefer but was still tender and juicy. The salad was well presented and the salad dress that is a homemade dressing was ons of the best. Good service and friendly staff make this a good place to just relax and take in the views of Margate beach

The view is spectacular. This restaurant has the most beautiful location in Uvongo...the view is breathtaking while you enjoy your meal. The restaurant is huge and the tables are well spaced out. Friendly staff. Clean and neat. Well presented meals, very well priced.

Lovely atmosphere and view from the deck. There’s a bit of a wait for food but it was worth it. We had the seafood platter and it was incredible! The calamari especially was to die for and the hake was so succulent. I’d go back to eat there every day if I could.

Great for Adults and Children. Spectacular view and very friendly staff. Stunning atmosphere and very delicious food. The play area for children is beautiful and clean.
