Delightful Pit Stop at Nuweplaas Padstal! On our way home from our honeymoon, my husband and I stumbled upon the gem that is Nuweplaas Padstal – a much-needed break turned into a delightful discovery. We were greeted by a young choir at the door, offering a warm welcome that set the tone for a fantastic experience. The store itself is as cute as can be, and the pizza we indulged in was absolutely delicious – a perfect refueling for our journey. What makes this place truly special is its family-friendly atmosphere. A huge playground and friendly farm animals make it an ideal stop for those traveling with children. We're already looking forward to our next holiday, eager to make Nuweplaas Padstal a regular pit stop. Highly recommended for a charming and tasty break on the road!

Nuweplaas Padstal is just amazing. It has a big outside kids play area. It's colourful and relaxing. Food was delicious and the animals are well looked after. I'd highly recommend it. Especially on a warm sunny day.

This is a very nice farm stall between Riebeek Kasteel and Malmesbury. The food is very nice, there is a playground for children and there is also a few farm animals and birds to see.

A little gem of a farmstall on route to Riebeek west. Nice atmosphere and play area for the kids and plenty of farm animals to see. Service was quick and staff was friendly and professional. Delicious boerekos served for lunch and the koek in the 'kas' was lovely. They also have a dedicated area of homemade/handmade goodies to purchase. Highly recommend for a family outing.

A must try if you’re in the area. We were so happy to try out the place for their delicious quiche, draft slow Darling beer, filter coffee and toasties. They have a cute farm stall and they were making the jam Jars on site. The huge on site zoo of emus, ostriches, donkeys, pot belly pigs, bunnies and so many kinds of birds. It was entertaining for the whole family and lots of nice seating indoors and out. The food was quite rich but delicious!

Family friendly, family orientated shop, eat, play. Indoor padstal with fresh bread baked onsite. Inside seating with beautiful decor. Outdoor seating with awesome playgrounds with a fantastic farm feel. Animals to feed, springboks and emu on site. Jumping castle, kick bikes to use and a massive sandpit. Great Breakfast and yummy cakes.

Love this new little gem we found! Kids played for hours while we had coffee and food, excellent service , food. Lovely little shop with everything in. We will definitely be back. Loads of rescue animals that the kind owners have taken in. Owners are very hands on and humble couple.

Our toddler absolutely loved the playground, wide variety of animals to view, but the small cars built on springs made it difficult to get him away for anything else ;) I had the chicken burger, it comes on plaasbrood as opposed to a bun, which was a bit unexpected, but true to the farm style - the pepper sauce was a nice touch though. Couldn't resist a takeaway piece of carrot cake.. spicy surprise but delightful.

A delightful family run farmstall and restaurant. Ideal for families as the restaurant caters for the whole family with a great play area and farm animals to entertain toddlers. The farmstall sells a big variety of homemade treats and trinkets suitable for gifts. Lovely setting in the Riebeek Valley, well worth a visit.

I never ate there but stopped to look around. What a serene, beautiful hideaway, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. There's a shop that sells homemade goods, a restaurant you can eat at and bonus, a colourful park where children can happily play and see some animals like ostrich, chickens, cows and turkeys etc. This will definitely be on my radar for the next time I travel that way. My only complaint is that the signage from the road isn't eye-catching enough for what is inside. I would have missed it if I didn't need to turn around. Well done to the owners.

This venue is a delightful farm style, relaxed and unsophisticated restaurant. Thé perfect eatery if you are accompanied by small children. Parents may enjoy a meal outdoors while keeping an eye in their children enjoying a fun play area. The home baked delicious biscuits and rusks on sale are difficult to resist. The farmstead on which the restaurant and shop is situated lies in the spectacular Riebeek Valley area. An easy weekend getaway for city dwellers
