A hidden gem in Johannesburg. The menu is sleek, powerful and packs a punch. Definitely try the authentic wings sauce, and the prawn pops. Great setting, easy seating, ample napkins which is always a plus.

I am thrilled to give Texan Wing Bar a glowing 5-star review! This is hands down my favorite spot to enjoy wings, and I cannot recommend it enough. The atmosphere is fantastic - it's always buzzing with energy and excitement. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially our server Melly. She made our experience truly exceptional with her attentive and kind service. Now let's talk about the wings! They are hands down the most flavorful wings I have ever tasted. I ordered the hellfire wings and they were the perfect level of spicy - just enough to make my taste buds dance, without overwhelming my palate. The wings were cooked to perfection and the flavor was out of this world. I visited Texan Wing Bar with a group of 7 friends, and everyone had a fantastic time. From the food to the service, everything was top-notch. I can't wait to go back and enjoy more delicious wings with great company! I recently had the pleasure of visiting Texan Wing Bar and I have to say, it was an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious - the wings were cooked to perfection and the sauces were incredible. I especially loved the bottomless wings on Tuesdays - what a great deal! Not only was the food fantastic, but the vibes at Texan Wing Bar were also top-notch. The atmosphere was lively and fun, making it the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a casual dinner. For starters we had popcorn shrimp and the atomic poppers. For the mains/shared between us we had the sliders, nachos(which was absolutely massive) and the wings. Enjoyed all the food and service was good as well. Very attentive waitress. Overall a very good experience.

Whenever we where at Monte, we've always walked passed Texan Wing Bar, but never actually gave it a try, until this evening. Hubby & I decided to have try it out. The Food was excellent! Monday night Special...1kg Ribs for R199 and certain draft beers were R30. The wings were absolutely amazing 🤩 The service was good in the beginning, then our Waitress kept forgetting about our orders. We will definitely be back very soon!

This was our first time at Texan Wing Bar and it was definitely worth it. Even though the place was busy, we didn't have to wait for a table and the drinks and food arrived quickly. The service was quick and the waitress was friendly. The steak was cooked to perfection and the burgers were excellent. We will definitely be back.

Been here a number of times and it’s always great. We went on Tuesday night for the bottomless wings and it didn’t disappoint however the queue was LONG… just over an hour. That being said, the wings were great as were the cocktails! Highly recommend a visit!

Bottomless wings Tuesday!! I personally loved having the option to get boneless (off the bone) wings - which is essentially a chicken nugget. If you're like me and don't like digging out food from under your nails then this is perfect! Thus far, my favourite flavour would be medium (creamy and not too hot). Their cocktails are also great and reasonably priced. They also have friendly staff which is always great! Definitely make the effort to book beforehand as they can get busy.

If there isn’t anyone downstairs at the entrance, it will be very confusing to make your way or feel like there is no service at all. At the best of times, when walking up, it can be difficult to get a hold of someone to get seated, when they are busy. However, if they are not busy, I suppose you can discard the above, but I have experienced both sides. Certain waitress don’t always provide sufficient attention to the table and you can be left wandering without serviettes or cutlery when having ordered wings. But the worst was they ran out of stock on the wet clothes. Anyway, besides that, the wings at this place as seriously out of this world. They are probably by far the absolute best wings I’ve had in a very very long time. The flavors are good and tasty. Unlike other places, at least the wings here have good chunk of meat on it. The inside area isn’t as great as the outside dining area, as the outside you just feel more free and less cramped up with a whole lot less people running past you. I’ve only had their wings and onion rings, and I think that’s what they are famous for and what I’ll be sticking to you! Worth a visit anytime!

When you first walk in the restaurant does not look like much but as soon as you sit down you are greatly by super friendly and helpful waitresses. The service is super friendly and quick and the food is really good. The prices was great and the wings special we had was really good. I am definitely going back. Definitely worth a visit...

Couldn’t resist visiting this restaurant - wings are a firm favourite of mine. And I wasn’t disappointed! Great flavours, succulent, and delicious. The dessert was average but all-in-all definitely recommend popping past when next at Monte Casino

The food is always exceptional, the service is top class and it's very affordable for a fantastic around experience. My new favorite place in Monte Casino by far, I would recommend it to anyone ten times out of ten.

The good: The setting is "authentic" The waitresses are friendly without being flirtatious. (Lots of laughs with the barkeeps and staff) The portion sizes are generous The prices are amazingly good (So good that I doubt their long-term capacity to pay their overheads in an expensive venue such as Montecasino) The bad: The wing sauce was cold and old and had a skin on top The food was overly salty The ugly: Only bog-standard beer. SAB makes seriously boring beer. A good few crafts a-la RocoMammas would really liven up the experience. I'm tired of always seeing the usual crap available, life's too short for boring beer.

Absolutely love this place. We arrived without a reservation but the hostess still managed to find us a table on the upstairs terrace. Our friendly waitress promptly arrived and took our orders, and even though it took a little longer than usual for the food to arrive, it was well worth the wait. The food was really delicious and the portion sizes was fantastic. Great vibe and atmosphere. Would definitely return soon!

Texan Wing Bar, had wanted to test this little gem out for a while. We were there on Saturday for my brothers 19th surprise birthday party. I reserved the table for 15 long in advance and got my confirmation call the day before. Phone service was really great. When arriving we got shown to the table by a very friendly hostess. Waiting for the birthday boy to arrive for his surprise, everyone slowly started to arrive at the table only making the service slower... new comers were waiting over 15min to be offered a drink, unless you caught the waitresses we didn't get orders. Drink and food orders also took a long time to arrive at the table and would arrive in drips and drabs. Someone waited an hour for a milkshake? And birthday boy didn't get serviced until we brought this to the managers attention. After this everything seemed to run more smoothly... The food is super tasty and the portions are amazing! The milkshakes are to die for. Overall a great time, service just needs work.

We had a very unpleasant experience, it started with them not having our reservation. We ordered two filter coffees to start and those took over 30min to arrive, we also ordered two starters which took almost an hour. The poppers were tasty, the popcorn shrimp was drowned in a sauce which made them soggy, the prawns were also undercooked. We will not be returning as the entire experience was way below average. The owners and management need to get serious and focus on making the place better if they want to last.

Texan Wing Bar was definitely an experience and a half! After an entire weekend of Competing Crossfit at The Arnold Classic Africa Throwdown, crushing 7 workouts in 3 days, one can not explain the hunger that we were experiencing. I would say it was definitely a near death experience. But, the staff and everyone made our group of athletes feel welcomed and catered to our every whim (And managed to feed us in time before we got dangerous). Their advert mentions “large portion sizes” and wow did they not disappoint us. I personally had the 20 piece chicken wings, and I’m ashamed to say that I was dominated by them (yes- a crossfitter could not finish these wings), few of our team mates had the burgers and even those were a struggle to finish. But they were victorious! Thank you to everyone at Texan Wing Bar for making us feel so welcomed and for the epic service with a smile! -and don’t forget the the awesome food! Can not wait to go back. Definitely need more of them wangs hahahahaha. Nats.

Very impressed by this lovely spot great atmosphere super friendly staff and really amazing food at a good price too! Naked wings with the house sauce where cooked to perfection. Popcorn shrimp where huge and the chilli poppers just right with perfect crispy coating! Hope to see a Texan Wing Bar in Cape Town soon!

Came over for the first time last night and shooweee I was blown away! Great portion, great tasting food and fantastic service by some mighty fine ladies! That's a solid double thumbs up from this cowboy! �

Been sitting at our table for almost 20 minutes and no one has bothered to come take an order or even acknowledged that we are here. It is not even busy, loads of tables empty, but not one waitress at our table!

I loved it. Service was slower than it could be but the waiters were friendly and pretty enough to distract from the slowish service. Most of our table really loved their food and 1 or 2 picked wrong, mine was amazing. Yea, I'll go back for sure. Tip : Popcorn shrimp and crumbed spicy chicken wings. Thank me later

Waited ages for some of my guests to be served. Steaks were overdone. Children were the last to be served. Only 5 ribs in the half rack. Had to cancel some orders as they had still not been served by the time the rest of our table had already finished eating

We arrived to a very disinterested staff member on the bottom desk. She was more interested in her colouring book than answering questions. Upstairs, waiting by the till, after 2 staff members just walked past us, eventually got the attention of a third. We chase to sit outside. It was rather empty, at most half the tables were occupied. We were seated and left with menus. Eventually got a waitress’ attention to order drinks. Two cocktails took about 10minutes to arrive. Again left to be. Managed to get our waitress’ attention again about 20:40 and ordered two meals. Steak and Beef Short Rib. Fast forward nearly 50minutes and lots more battling to order more drinks, our food arrived, well, some of it anyways. The sauce and onion rings ordered with the steak weren’t there and the beef short rib was a plate full of mashed potatoes and 6 postage stamp pieces of rib, no beans or corn as per the menu. Cutting into the steak, which was ordered medium, it’s at best nearly well done. The manager who came to check on our complaint came across as very disinterested and not overly concerned about our food taking nearly an hour in an empty restaurant. Needless to say, we won’t be back. This was a follow up to a similar incident earlier in the year which we put down to a busy night at the time, clearly not.

The staff are really really friendly and although they had no vegan options, they quickly adapted a vegetarian burger for me which I found really nice :) the burger was okay but the fries were really really delicious. The seating on the balcony is quite fun.

Very nice food. we had a boneless wings to share and they were very accommodating as they made half the wings in a different sauce so we could share it very nicely. Furthermore, the chicken and beef burgers were also very nice. The service was prompt. I also liked the fact that they have specials like Eat As Much As you can Wings on Tuesdays and Half price cocktails on Thursday

This was our first visit here. The place was awesome!! Our server, Ray, was helpful and super friendly. The food was delicious. We loved the Jack Daniels cocktails. We had wings and sliders. We will be coming back!! Atmosphere is awesome. Decor suits the theme of the place.

I really was looking forward to coming back here as I am a wing fan.<br/><br/>When I think of a wing bar I think meaty wings, I think generous portion sizes and great prices. If you are going to specialize in wings then they better be the star of the show.<br/><br/>The wings were delicious, they really were, and the basting on them had tons of flavour but I somehow still left a bit disappointed. To charge R78 for a small portion of 10 boneless wings is a rip off I mean how does that even constitute as a meal? And you have to pay extra for a side dish which were also a really small portion of fries. Might I say the boneless wings resembled really small chicken nuggets and not actual wings. Then when we ordered normal wings, which were a tad better, they were still tiny. Let's just say they looked nothing like how it's advertised on Facebook.<br/><br/>Service was fabulous though! Friendly waitresses and awesome view of the casino 👌<br/><br/>

Texas, American vibe place, waitresses dresses in cowboy gear. There was no beer on tap available and the craft bottle beer was hot. Really disappointing. The wings really made up for the rest. Juicy, well seasoned wings, great sauce and decent portion. Will have to try again...

Came here on a Tuesday, during their Bottomless Wings run. It was vibing and busy - loads of good lookers. Reservation was made prior for 3, which they had set up for - but a spontaneous 4th person joined and had to move tables, which they accomodated for. The waitress was fun, chatty and pretty. It seems thats the MO for being a waitress there - eye candies everywhere.<br/>The wings were great, 5 basting options, can be crumbed or not, bones or deboned (did NOT like the deboned - they weren't wings, instead theyre tough breasts - not recommended).<br/>Finished off with a Psychopath shot (was there for a birthday), greatly recommended by the waitress.<br/>All in all, enjoyed the visit thoroughly - left incredibly stuffed and satisfied.

Tonight was my second time visiting Texan Wing Bar. I made a booking, but they couldn’t find it. “We can accommodate you sir”. Asked to sit outside served by Eloise. She took our drinks orders and asked her to call the first wings order. The drinks came and we placed an order for a burger as well. The waiting game started (heard that the kitchen was busy...) Eventually my first portion of wings arrived. Wow, it was good. The signature JRU-wing sauce is awesome. I tried to get Eloise’s attention to place the order for the next portion, but she was running (spinning) around. When she eventually came to the table, I had waited about 5 minutes and only then she ordered another portion. I was about to ask for another waiter, but I decided not to. Food was good tonight, but can’t say the same for the service!

This bar has been opened for a while now, since around May 2018. Its a spacious sports bar thats the ideal place to catch a game and drinks.<br/><br/>On the food side, on my occassions there over the months, consistently seemed to be a problem. However they as a sports bar, its loud and fun vibe. The texan/ cowboy setting is actually nice.

13.02.2019 We stopped here for dinner before attending a show at the theatre. I didn't realise all the seating is upstairs and has a nice view of the casino floor, the lights look very pretty from above.<br/><br/>We ordered drinks, my usual Cosmopolitan and my sister had a Tequila Cocktail. All i can say is DAMN they made a good Cosmo. 😋<br/><br/>To eat I had to try their Budweiser battered Tower of Onion Rings with a spicy dipping sauce, along with Ribs and Hand cut fries. My sis had the Popcorn shrimp (hand breaded chilli and herb shrimp) with Kung Pao Sauce and Boneless Wings with Hot Sauce. The menu is more for meat eaters, so i wasn't complaining.<br/><br/>My Ribs were juicy, tender and full of flavour and so were the fries. I enjoyed the spices they added to it. My onion rings were a let down, after the first one they were rather doughy and not completely cooked through, which i mentioned to our waitress when she came to check up on us as she noticed I hardly touched them.<br/><br/>My sister's shrimp was similar, although not bad it was also rather doughy but at least cooked, and she enjoyed her wings.<br/><br/>When our waitress returned again to the table, she said that she had removed the item off our bill, which was a really kind gesture as i wasn't expecting that. So thank you to Norma and Amanda for absolutely EXCELLENT service it is highly appreciated, we will definitely return.<br/><br/>They also have a quiz night, which should also be good fun to partake in with a bunch of friends. This place is amazing, the food was mind blowing and the portions were super generous. We had amazing service. Our waitress was fast and attentive. There wings with kung-pao sauce is a MUST.
