Great food with good service, homemade condiments (jams and tomato sauce) were delicious. I never order a salad but the biltong salad was amazing. Cool breeze from the river and good views.

The best scones and home made jams. Our dogs were welcome to sit with us too. Thank you for your hospitality.

Food portions almost too much. Freshly prepared. Staff friendly and willing to serve in Afrikaans!! Love visits to this place. Also caters for kids, not just on the menu but, with a BIG sandpit to play in while waiting for meal.

Reservations can be made for dinner or Special Holidays like Christmas or Easter ... All food is freshly prepared, so don't be in a hurry ... Your food will be good.

We found Trading Post on Zomato while in the Magaliesburg area so we thought we would give it a try. <br/><br/>The service was really good. Our waiter made us feel welcome and he was very friendly. We were however the only patrons at the restaurant through our time there. <br/><br/>It appears that the restaurant focuses more on breakfast and sandwiches as we chose two lunch meals which were far from satisfactory. I ordered the chicken dish. I was given two tiny pieces of chicken on a massive bed of white rice and vegetables which looked and tasted that they were cooked from frozen. My partner ordered a pie which had tiny little pieces of meat in it. <br/><br/>Although the service was great, we will not be going back.

My wife and I had a truly enjoyable meal here. We had delicious coffees, my pancakes were made perfectly and accompanied by large servings of ice-cream and my wife's scones were made fresh to order and included homemade naartjie, paw paw and strawberry jams, cheese and cream. Service was excellent, ambiance was relaxed and prices good too.

Awesome place if you are not in a hurry. This is the spot for a relaxing holiday fresh and fun meal with family. Definitely recommended. We were a company of 6, 4 adults 2 children. Nice sandpit for the younger kids, cool and relaxed atmosphere.

I visited Trading Post with my family and our son enjoyed the toys corner. They also have a jungle gym, swings and a sandpit.<br/><br/>They have an large menu selection with interesting items like melkkos and coffee with condenced milk.<br/><br/>I was exciting to see the scones are freshly baked and therefore takes 20min. However it is nothing special and definately not worth ordering. Rather dissapointing.<br/><br/>I ordered the Ice Cream Coffee which is an affogato. I somehow expected a coffee milkshake, but I obviously misread the menu.<br/><br/>

Trading Post is a charming little café, situated in a cluster of shops, that includes a seamstress and art gallery (which only add to its charm)! As I was seated early on a winter's morning, I couldn't help but notice that each table has little blankets sitting on the chairs and lots of little personal touches with homemade goodies for sale. After ordering my coffee, they brought me heated refresher towels for you to clean your hands and freshen up.. Marlene, made me feel special from beginning to end! <br/><br/>THE FOOD: On this visit I selected their generous portion of french toast (with bacon or banana) served with maple syrup/honey. And.. their recommended Biltong Ciabatta for only R50 - cottage cheese, avocado, biltong, peppadews with a choice of salad or chips! Very good value for money! <br/><br/>*Recommendation: With a spacious and comprehensive playground, swings, and a sandpit this spot should definitely be featured in child-friendly!
