Review Driftwoods Restaurant - Langebaan

Prime location facing Langebaan Main Beach, making for a great lunchtime setting if you can get a table on the deck. Awesome seafood; try the paella or the Thermidor for a real treat - or the massive platter for one if you can't choose.

Driftwoods has always been a favorite when visiting Langebaan! The pizza was a first for me, but it was amazing! Fun in the sun and a great meal was a perfect combination to end off a lunch before we head back to Cape Town!

Right on the beach, great food and drinks. I don't understand why this place gets terrible ratings. Our waiter, Alex, was attentive and informative. We had very tasty food and he gave us enough time to chat and order. Perhaps people expect fast food? We were 4 for lunch and 2 diners ordered pizza and 2 ordered other. Dispite the food coming from two kitchens, we all got served together. My cajun chicken stack was perfectly prepared. Compliments to the chef, all round.We will be back.

Beautiful view of the sea and kite-surfers as well as great food. Smoking and non-smoking areas as well.

Seafood is a delicious. Great service. Always visit this place when I am in Langebaan.

We ate here twice during a long weekend. The service was excellent even though it was busy, and we enjoyed lunch enough to book for dinner on the same day. The only thing wrong with dinner was that they asked what table we would like, and then couldn't give it to us when we arrived at the appointed time. This wasn't a big deal though, and we enjoyed two very tasty pizzas for dinner, once again with great service. I won't hesitate to eat here again.

I ordered a pizza once, I am dying to go back. Best pizza I have had in my entire life. The milkshake was good but if I recall nothing special. I suggest that you raise the price a little bit but put marshmallows or something in them to make them stand out, this way people will order them instead of some cool drink.

Great location, with great views. I was personally more impressed with the menu, food, and service of their neighboring restaurant, where I dined the next night. Driftwoods is for me more of a lunch venue, or otherwise to have sundowners, before going somewhere else for dinner.

Ek sal nooit ooit weer daan toe gaan eers vat ons was sondag daar,wag half uur vir jou drankies, kos netso lank jy vrae hoe en met wat bedien hulle die prawns die waiter se met jou keuse as dit kom is dit nie garlic en kaas sous soos jy bestel het en die steak is vrot en nie met slaai soos jy bestel het en met chip's daarna wag jy amper uur vir die steak wat vervang word en vrae maar vir die bill die steak is op die bill en ons moet dit neem as n take away dit staan en wag jy nog langer as vir die kos het die waiters word lelik mee gepraat ook nee jine

Ek is baie teleurgesteld in julle kos se gehalte wat so verswak het! Weet nie of julle nuwe eienaars het of wat die storie is nie want gewoondlik het ons net lekker geëet by julle. Julle kos is heavy over priced en nadat die bestuurder gesê het hy sal die rekening regstel vir 'n fout wat die kombuis gemaak het, is die verandering nie eers aangebring nie. Ruk julle self bietjie reg!

Wost service I've ever experienced and food is terrible! Fist time here this evening for supper as we were on holiday and wanted to check out the local restaurants... Firstly we we were standing and waiting over 5 minutes to be shown to our table... Secondly I ordered a cocktail which tasted revolting and asked to change it to a different drink only to be served without a glass?... Fourthly my food eventually arrived and was tasted so wierd.. Definitely packet sauce... My husband was waiting so long for his food over an hour, that eventually ate my food and had to take his meal home as a take away... So disappointed as it's such an amazing venue on the beach.. But everything was a real shame... I will not recommend this place... So many more amazing places with awesome food and service around... Pearlys next door is one of them.

We had dinner at Driftwoods on 1st January 2018 Kayleigh who was our waitress was very friendly and her service was very good. The food was also very nice. (This would get 5 stars) However... While we are having dinner, a manager (male) shouted at a waiter and almost poked his eye out as he was waving his hand in this poor childs face. I dont care what he did, but to do this in front of clients is very unprofessional and humiliating for the waiter. It didn’t stop there, this male manager couldn’t stop staring at the waiter and kept on being rude. I completely lost my appetite. I am completely disgusted by the way things were handled.

Worst meal I’ve ever had here. Utterly disappointed. Worst money spent on food in a long time. Their striving for average and below and achieving it comfortably. Sad.

3rd time we came here. Obviously the first time I was able to sample a jam jar, start of a great friendship. My wife had a kilo of mussels, absolutely fabulous! For a awesome beach view, well priced cocktails and good honest pub grub this is the place to be.

Waiters were helpful, great location. Sorry, but the burger patties taste like those crappy soy-infused ones you get in the frozen food aisle.

Late afternoon atmosphere is laid back and the place does need a good cleaning. Cocktails are good and affordable.

Best hake and calamari i have tasted in ages. Melt in the mouth and a lot of flavour. Will definately visit you guys again!!

I love the new Driftwoods. Renovations have done wonders to the restaurant. They still make the best coffee shakes out. �

Ons kom nou al vir jare Langebaan toe. Vandag was ons by Driftwood. Die plek het regtig agteruit gegaan en is baie vuil. Die badkamers vrot en is vieslik vuil. Die kos (chicken strips & chips) het geproe of dit in baie ou olie gebak is. Geld gemors daar.

Delicious Mutton Curry with a tang! Friendly staff, who brought me some extra rice! Score!

Disappointed beyond! Rude waiters, slow service and no ventilation on a HOT day! This loyal customer (then) won't be back soon.
