Review The Curry Bar - Langebaan

Fantastic lamb breyani. Great taste and a generous potion. It is a must try. Will definitely be back.

I moved out of Langebaan 2 years ago, I still haven't found a place that can replace this restaurant's food and personal touch! Picking up butter chicken and samusas on my way home from work or for a drive down to the cape was always met with a warm friendly hello and great food!

Man oh, man. What a find!? When the food is so good, that you don't even get round to taking pics of it and just dive in! This happened to me when I visited. I had the beef curry wrap, my wife a chicken curry wrap. And everything was great. Have to admit, that I would've loved more kick, but I'm a Heatonist. πŸ˜‹ A very satisfying compromise that I found, was to add, their lovely pickled vegetables (sold separately in Take Away containers) and that was kick enough. Yes, it's not super spicy. But curry doesn't have to be. The meat was tender and the dish was so well balanced. The service and vibe are wonderful. The staff are great. Do yourself a favour and pop by. Please support them, so that I can eat with them again when we visit Langebaan πŸ˜πŸ˜‰

So Dillon and I took a drive and decided to make a stop at the curry bar, coming in, the setting was very simple but the food was excellent We both had the chicken curry bunny chow, and I must say, talk about delicious, it was served with a pickled carrot salad and a garlic Naan bread... As a chef, I simply don't indulge in anyone's curry, but the curry was amazing and I definitely recommend it, the bread served with it was fresh and I could taste the freshly, nutty flavor We also had the daltjies, cause Dillon is always hungry. We then finished off our meal with a fresh strawberry milkshake and chocolate one. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and the recommendations given by them did not fall on deaf ears. Thank you for informing us on what you think we should have eaten... Suggestions: please add a bit more salt to the food, to enhance the flavor of the of the curry... Once again, it's very rare I give a 5 star to a small town restaurant, but you deserve it, congratulations The Traveling Chef

Delicious food that was a hit with my friends visiting from Natal. They said β€œIt tastes like home.” Nothing beats a bunny chow after a morning at the beach. Will definitely come again.

I constantly drop in to get there samoosa's. Delish. I haven't tried anything else yet.

The staff are friendly, service efficient with curry that's flavourful with just enough heat. A little bit of Durban in Langebaan.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for 4 years and I absolutely love it! Their new location is stunning and is accommodating to all patrons, Islamic and non alike. The food really is like a taste of home which is often necessary when braving the cold of the Cape. Proud to say that my friends were able to try their first ever bunny chows and it was an absolute hit! The staff are kind and helpful, and the service is outstanding. 10/10 recommend!

Durban curries in Langebaan, home away from home with great service and selection. Has a bar attached to the restaurant and for all you Rangers supporters, this is your place. The design and layout suits a Rangers supporter. Food is excellent. You have to try their sauce, it's the best I've eaten! The entire team makes you feel at home and are at your side throughout your stay at the restaurant. Strongly recommend!

Their food is delicious. I don't have to drive to Cape Town or ask friends to bring me Indian food.

An amazing addition to Langebaan, clean and fresh looking establishment, serving the most delicious food and warm friendly staff that talk you through their menu. A fabulous 5 out of 5.
Isabella Niehaus
The best curry I've had in years!! Highly recommended!
Geoff Snelling
Great curry now just need to get trotters and beans on menu
Samantha Ramsuran
Very disappointed!! Definetly Durban spices but not a Durban curry. The mutton curry was basically a container of spicy runny oil with one whole large potatoe and few pieces of mutton. (After picking out the potatoe and pieces of meat the container was almost half full of oil). The butterchicken was watery. As this was our first Diwali not in Durban thought we would have Durban curry as advertised by Curry Bar. So so disappointing.
