Have been to The Veranda many times as a nearby cozy coffee spot. Went recently again. Beautiful building which is well suited as a comfortable restaurant, with good decorations and a warm, inviting feeling. Have enjoyed adequate breakfasts, however I'm more impressed with the good selection of cakes and sweets. Good coffee spot to chat and catch up with a friend. In my experience, service has been sufficient. Parking is on the street, however there is a car guard, which improves this situation. Will return for coffee and cake.
Staff are friendly, food consistently great, warm pleasant atmosphere! Will recommend to anyone for a quick catch up breakfast/lunch or even a business meeting. Coffees are awesome, owner is lovely.... highly recommended! The Tramezzini's are my favourite.
my wife and I had breakfast and the food was very delicious, the portion size is not to bad ether and I like that they serve their chips in a different manor then every other restaurant. I would recommend The Verandah to anyone.
The setting is breathtaking. I love the outdoor seating. The meals were freshly prepared. The waitering staff is very friendly. I enjoyed my meal. Enough flavour and good portions and the pricing was reasonable.
This restaurant is literally one of those that you have your kitchen tea, baby shower and birthday at and it will never get old!

The manager, Rita, was super friendly and helped a lot with organising a work function. The food was ready as we came. It tasted delicious and had a variety of goods! They reserved a table in the garden, which was serene, beautiful and perfect for a big group as we all could hear one another. Thank you for the great service!
All the food that was served was lovely. They have quite a selection on the menu and he cakes as you walk in said "eat me". The waiting time for your meal was quite a while though
We had a pleasant family birthday lunch. Having booked in advanced I was impressed by the layout of the table and the little extras on it.
The food portions were definitely value for money and I was quite happy with the service time of the waiters especially considering a table of 10.
The waiters were tentative, fast and professional.
All in all a great experience and a nice mix of Italian and Greek.
One of thee best places to eat on the West Rand. Beautiful scenery and ambiance and divine food. You must try the Cous Cous salad - to die for. Fabulous owner and staff.
As we arrived there, loadshedding kicked in, they didn't have a generator but most items on the menu were still available, no hot drinks though... Non the less was absolutely surprised by this little gem, friendly staff and good food!
I was looking for a little coffee shop to do some work while waiting for my wife to finish a meeting. I stumbled on the Verandah bistro. I enjoyed my coffee and the experience so much that my wife and I came back for lunch after her meeting. Really enjoyed my lunch. Service was excellent. I can definitely recommend giving it a try.
This is my wife’s favorite place. The Sunday lunch is always a winner and is great value for money. They also have fantastic salads.
The atmosphere is very relaxing and you can decide to sit in the front garden, inside or in the back garden. They also have a variety of fraesh cakes to choose from.
They cater for the lonely cup of coffee to large work functions. I will always recommend this place.
Such a great experience! The service is overall really good. Prices are a bit above average. You get a decent portions, but not overly packed.
Butter chicken: 9/10 (chicken breaking apart, spices exactly right)
Sunday lunch: 9/10 (veggies especially good, meat literally falling apart)
Chicken schnitzel: 8/10 (freshly made not frozen like other places, although only one piece which was a bit small)
Halloumi snack: 8/10 (delicious and crispy, sauce fantastic but only 4 pieces)
Breakfast: 9/10 (crispiest bacon I had in my life, pork bangers are OK)

What an excellent service and great place, first time I've always seen the place when driving pass. Loved the food ambiance and general customer service loved it.. Pitty that me and my friend were still enjoying each other's company when the waiter told us that they close early being a public holiday... we understood. I will definitely will be visiting again. For drinks we had nicely made passion fruit with lemonade, mains their hake,salad and chips and for dessert carrot cake with Hot chocolate called Sophia..so yummy
Always heard good things about this little gem and the hype is real. Food’s really tasty especially that Sweet chilli chicken onion & feta Tramezzini 😮 just wants you coming back for more. And then those cakes on display🤦♀️. Our waiter, Alvin, what an awesome friendly soul. Overall a lovely experience
Had a great lunch here. The crumbed pork chops were tender and juicy. My wife's prawn pasta portion was generous and very tasty. Service and vibe was good and price reasonable.

Had lunch here today my bestie. Great outdoor seating especially in these covid times. We were warmly greeted and our waitress was super friendly and patient. We ordered hot chocolate and a cafe latte. Was good. The food was delicious. I ordered the home made fish cakes with a fresh side salad and she ordered the open sweet chillie chicken sandwich. Was amazing. We even ordered tramezinnis to take away cos we loved the food. The ambience was great. Lots of greenery outside and fresh air. Friendly manager. I would definitely recommend this place if u are looking for good quality food and a great garden setting.
Amazing breakfast and afford! Went again the following day for hake, the hake is very large and delicious! Love this place
