.....great setting in the garden with playground. Lovely to spend a Sunday with family and friends. Small menu , but great food. Fantastic desert. Cheesecake and brownies and best ice cream�

What a night to remember�
I first visited this place in 1981, and till today I remember the whole experience fondly! It was a night to remember forever!. I told my kids about it when they were small, and now can share the photos with them. Wish we had a similar venue in Cape Town..the only thing I noticed was that there is better silver- and table ware. We ate of wooden boards, with our hands...none of the silver modern stuff then..it's as if one gets "transported" back in time...even had to ask permission to use the restrooms.."point Alice at the chalice..." is just one of them.
It was a wonderful experience. The costumes we could dress up in, the food was delicious, I drank more than my share of the mead. We loved the Baron's stories and the minstrel's music. Our group had such a good time. Recommend this experience to anyone!

Went for Sunday lunch. Delicious, freshly-prepared burger and to-die-for chips! Fun, lively ambiance with the live band. Attentive, friendly waitress - Carley - and wonderful, friendly service from Chef and co-owner Andrew and the enthusiastic, on-the-ball event-coordinator Lauren. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. So looking forward to seeing you again at one of the Feasts! :D

We had an absolutely wonderful picnic today in your beautiful garden next to the pool. Food was delicious! Catered a specially for the kids and they enjoyed their own basket of goodies! Staff was friendly and helpful! Thank you for making it such an awesome experience!

Lovely venue for end-of-year functions, weddings (beautiful chapel) outdoor area for children to play, lots of goodies to buy, outdoor area reminds me of Capetown's wine farms. Lots of shades - white linen table cloths and serviettes. Service was a bit slow - many people and Christmas functions going on.
I enjoyed my time here, planning on going back as the time I had was limited but I enjoyed the little time I spent there. The staff was very friendly, the place caterers for everything. Whether you’re looking for a great time with one,2 or a group of people, I saw that they also cater for weddings and other functions. Absolutely stunning, from the entrance to it’s different sitting areas, looked like the also had an area where if people want for their private function maybe on a busy day as the place is quite spacious. I simply cannot wait to explore it more when I’m back in Joburg again. I was captivated by it’s stunning and calming atmosphere that I couldn’t take a lot of pictures but will definitely do better the next time😉
The food is delicious and well prepared. Just disappointed with the lamb shank, it was a bit dry. The T bone amazing texture and cooked to perfection. They probably need to invest in more servers. They too long to bring drinks

The rooms we stayed in were spacious, quiet, and, in general, entirely adequate. Overall, it is a great experience.

Attended an 80th birthday celebration luncheon at the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Service and food was very good. However the ambiance was spoilt by loud thumping music from another function in the garden. The owners need to take cognoscence and not allow this type of unpleasantness, especially for the diners trying to enjoy lunch st the outdoor tables.
The lamb shank was divine. Very nice place.
We just had a baby shower so we didn't see the hoter

Such an awesome venue, great food and service, such a beautiful location.
My children took me to Casalinga in Mothers day. It was chilly at home, but the weather in the area it's situated is always good. Gardens are lovely. Security good. Wonderful friendly reception. Our waiter was extremely funny and considered. Excellent food, timeously served. We all had a wonderful day.
Service was amazing, thank you Bongani. Food was delicious and the setting is like a dream. It takes you away from Jozi. Kids play area. Very tranquil. Organic garden.
