Review Lake Pleasant Bistro - Knysna

Ate there once after it was highly recommended. While the steak was fantastic, I expected more than frozen veg warmed up. Give us some real veg! Otherwise it was a nice visit.

Unbelievable company!! Really thought this was going to be a struggle, most people think so… Govchain takes the stress and worry away. Two days Reg! Unbelievable Thank you! Can’t wait to use the rest of their services.

We had 4 amazing meals which were all delicious but the Lentil Bobotie was definitely my favorite 😋😋 Staff always friendly and welcoming with a cosy fire place to keep you warm. Great food at a good affordable price, well worth it!!!!

Best pizza in town! Love the olde style pub and resturant vibe. Definitely worth a stop when going through sedgefield.

We been here a few times over the past 5 years and there food and service is great.

Enjoyed the pub lunch special, but the best part about this place is that it's very pet-friendly! The bar is pet-friendly and well behaved dogs can spend the night too.

Absolutely delightful. We had calamari which was superb. Sheena so friendly. We will be back.

Cheapest decent pizza's in the area and service is friendly. Though parking at peak times can be a bit difficult.

6 stars if they had 1kg ribs hehe. 500g ribs was the best.

Good food that makes you feel happy. Go try the Ribs or Schnitzel. Yummy!

The pizza is the best that I have had since moving to SA, Shelley said the Chicken Cordon Blue was wonderful

We dropped in for a quick bite to eat and being a week night didn’t expect a busy place... situated in a beautiful location on the lake - the gardens and setting is amazing.
We were welcomed by friendly staff and the new owner who has recently taken over (since October 2018).
The furniture is a bit odd with a mixture of plastic, wood and leather all under the same roof. None the less, everything was spotlessly clean.
The waiters were new and accidentally spilt wine on the table - without acknowledging it or trying to clean it up (found this a bit strange).
The food was a bit disappointing - calamari was rubbery and veggies over cooked and the chicken schnitzel tasted good but was swimming in oil.
This place has potential and I believe with a little help and some attention to detail it would be a great spot.

Wonderful setting on a fresh water lake, comforting food that filled the belly, super friendly service that made us feel very welcome. Had a chicken burger and hake.
Situated in Lake Pleasant Living on the banks of the Groenvlei (Green Wetland) is a well hidden gem of a restaurant. Bistro on the Lake offers a menu covering traditional South African dishes and is open from 7am till late. This was our second visit to the restaurant and I am sure it will not be our last.
