The Bell Tavern - Knysna - Photo album

Service on Tap with great Chicken livers at hand. Tucked away in wooded area with shade where required. Great views of the estate and surrounding water way. Can’t wait to try other menu items on a return trip to Africa!
Atmosphere, heart, a view of the lagoon, amazing food and super friendly service.. I could not think of a better place for a leisurely lunch than here - where food and service are a top priority and history of this place lingers in the little detail. You’re probably going to eat too much - the foo
Sunday roast dinner is reasonable value for money. A spoonful of ice-cream or cup of coffee within the price would round off the roast dinner meal and get us coming back more often. The outdoor venue is picturesque and comfortable.
The Bell pub is, for me, a lovely reminisce of the old country pubs back in the UK. I appreciate the 'community' feel and getting away from the 'busyness' of life. Menu is simple, and I enjoy choosing from the daily specials board as it's interesting to try different dishes. Otherwise, recommend the
A beautiful full breakfast is offered on Sunday’s under umbrellas with a view of the lagoon. Otherwise a heart lunch or dinner option is available at The Bell. Beautiful grounds and views with a glimpse into the rich history of Knysna. A really beautiful experience and a regular amongst the locals.
What a gem! On the Belvedere Estate next to Knysna’s Lagoon. A great atmosphere, fabulous food and customer service. You just have to try those homemade pies!! Thank you Geoffrey for your big smile and making us so welcome!! Definitely would return there if we are ever back in Knysna area!
Nice place to visit when on Holliday in knysna. We only went for drinks. Beautiful town with a nice Cape feeling.
Fantastic location, location, location, historic pub and yes there’s the view Knysna Lagoon looking inviting as always oh yes and the food - enjoy the Mushroom Chicken Pot Pie - always scrumptious add the chips and cold beer make 10/10 Ample parking friendly staff -
Lovely under the pergola, a pleasure to be served by the delightful Jeffrey, delicious food! Altogether a happy experience...
Beautiful setting - loved the cheese-cake. This is one of our favourite tea places, set in Belvedere on the Knysna lagoon. Great views and lovely gardens.
Truly a treat visiting this English-styled pub. The food was hearty and comforting. Thank you Russel and Jeffrey for the spectacular service. We especially loved your spirit and sense of humor with the random ‘standard’ and ‘super-duper’ lines thrown throughout our evening. Looking forward to suppor
Get atmosphere, nice food good desserts..a bit pricey
Lovely food, stunning view of the lagoon, friendly fast service, fair prices.
Sweet little pub and the only restaurant that side of town. We stopped for a beer but didn't eat as the menu is a bit too pubby, but not unlike what you'd expect. People seem to love the chicken pie. Just 2 draughts on tap, Forrester's Lager and Boson's bitter by Mitchell's.
Found this little gem by chance and the timing was perfect as the rugby was about to start! Very warm welcome and friendly staff. Beer great, wine delicious. Food was prompt and hot which was great especially as they also had a wedding going on- and what an absolutely beautiful setting! Loved our ex
