Review Rascals Pub & Pizzeria - Kenilworth

The ambience was great, and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor sitting. I was seated outside and it was so lush and green creating a very cool and chilled atmosphere. Great selection of drinks and food, with large portions!

What a brilliant place for the 40th reunion of the UCT civil engineering graduates of 1983. Forries was an institution then, and it's still the go-to place for mates of any age to meet, greet and reminisce. The manager even made certificates for the occasion! Well be back!!

Amazing place. Five stars for their pizzas and beer. Their cappuccino and hot chocolate are amazing. We were however, a little disappointed at the strawberry daiquiris, as they tasted nothing like it should - tasted like those cheap flavoured ice we bought as kids. My mom had an eisbein - the portion was HUGE and amazing value for money, only sad part was that it was not crunchy on the outside as one would expect it too be. But overall we had a great experience.

A Cape Town stalwart, with good food and plenty of beer! An extensive menu and their Sunday Roast buffet is delicious. Pet-friendly (outside) and lots of seating options inside and out. A kids play area too.

This is really a Cape Town gem. The food is incredible, there is a diverse range of drinks for every taste and the staff are friendly and customer oriented. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. I'll be a regular patron. Thank you! Edit: Went back for my birthday on 16/12. Wow. The pork ribs are amazing - like, beyond tender and flavorful. Drinks are served quickly and with good quality. Had an incredible time, thank you!

The best crème brûlée so far and I’ve had quite a bit :-) Lunch was also really tasty.

My uncle ordered pork ribs and the waiter brought pork belly.. It was A very rainy stormy day but we enjoyed it.. Beers were cold but the fire was warm also I booked the previous day and it seemed as if they lost my booking but they made a plan.. Chess cake was a bit dry and heavy

Parking area with attendant , good service and food was very tasty, a nice variety of options. Lovely use of heaters to keep things snug. Reasonably priced.

First time visiting Foresters Arms (I won a voucher) and I was not disappointed, from the time we got seated, it was great service, food was divine and the staff super friendly. Thank you, we will definitely be back.

Always a great vibe. Was here for the Two Oceans after-party. Was really good, with 6 bands over the two days. Thanks to the staff and owners for taking care of everybody so well. And even with the big numbers, service was still fast.

Rascal's has more of a pub vibe to it, so I wasn't expecting the food to be incredible. I was greatly surprised though. I order the Dominique special - a pizza topped with bacon, mushrooms, feta and avo and it was surely the best pizza I've had in a long time. Perfect cheese to topping ratio. I'll definitely be back to try the other pizzas on the menu.

Tammy my waiteress was the highlight of my quick lunch visit.. Ok.. My Heineken Draught was cold..
Thought I would be adventurous and try their masala steak... 3 thin slices of budget toast, 2 fried eggs, semi grilled masala onions and mushy tomatoes.. The little sirloin steak was ok... Pity my tinfoil fork battled to hold hit... When I asked for a normal fork.. I was told I a as lucky to get the 1of 3!!!..which did not have straight forks...and the French fries which arrived after my main.. Chips we fried in oil that was under temperature... @R90 for that dish!.. Boils my blood.. Sorry will never return... The 2 rating is obviously for the service and the beer... The owners never bothered to come to my table, when I asked for them.. (i was only going constructive criticism).. Like they care.. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Rascals makes some of the most delicious and filling pizzas around! Big menu to choose from with fast service as well. I was very impressed with my vegetarian pizza which came with loads of fresh ingredients...more impressive than most pizzerias with their scanty toppings
Three Pensioners Plus Our Attorney
Our June luncheon was had at Rascals. Rascals is pub/sport's bar with a very destinct Manchester United bias and a venue we have visited previously.
PD, our attorney friend was not able to join us because he was on leave the week before. (What's leave ???)
We ordered from their pensioners menu. JT had his favourite - their curried pie which he throughly enjoyed. CH and I chose to have their steak, egg and chips. CH enjoyed his steak, egg and chips but would have preffered his chips to being crisp rather than "slap". I ordered my steak to be medium-rare; unfortunately it was well done; but I still enjoyed it.
Tammy, our waitron, gave us excellent service.
All in all a very enjoyable lunch in a sporting environment that complemented our sport related discussions.

✔️ Sports Bar
✔️ Beef curry was tasty but came with minimal sambals and a lot of oil floating on the top
✔️ Pizzas were great and very decent size
✔️ Rib and Calamari combo was a winner
I suppose if you coming for a pub grub or one of their pizzas , I suggest not .

It was once my go to place for pizza but a lot has changed the pizza is rubbery and the cheese doesn't melt . It's a pure disappointment- iv been disappointed twice before but decided to give it one more chance last-night but the disappointment was even greater .

I suggest that if you just going for drinks then it's fine it's a pub . But if you looking for food stay clear .

I ordered the grilled lamb chops , it came with fries and boiled veg that looked that it was boiled last week. The chops were rubbery and tasteless .
The pizzas ordered were hard and chewy and the cheese didn't even melt .

Never again , a lot of money wasted only for regret !

One of the staff members mistreated me, and I wrote a letter to the manager to explain the situation and they didn't even apologize!

If that is how they treat their customers, I would not recommend going there!!!

Good old pub with some great pizzas on the menu. Popped in here after an outing and as far as pubs go they really offer that pub feel and look. Nothing fancy or great but if ever you are on the area and feel for a cold glass of wine and a pizza you probably won't waste your time. Service not the best but try it nevertheless.

Nothing special. Local watering hole just down the road from home. Food is ok. Portions are huge. Ordered the chicken wings and probably ate about a quarter of it and bagged the rest. Service is pretty good. Waitresses are super friendly 👍

Rascals is my numero uno bar in Cape Town and is my favourite place to watch sport. As an avid lifelong Manchester United Fan it was a match made in heaven the moment I walked in. This bar is the home of the Manchester United Supporters cling and it is a Mancunian dream. The memorabilia is as good as I have seen on a worldwide scale and as a result it is an incredibly nostalgic place.

The atmosphere of the pub is always vibrant. There is always something happening at Rascals and it gets incredibly festive on match days.

The food is surprisingly decent in addition to all of this. Pub grub at it's finest. Generous and hearty portions permeate the menu. From pizzas, to curries, to poultry, to breakfast, to dinner- rascals caters for everyone and every occasion.

Go hungry, go thirsty and go enjoy the lively atmosphere of the home of the greatest footballing club in the world.

Looking for a fabulous pizza in the hood? Look no further than Rascals. Been around for many years and yet their pizzas quality has never dropped. Delicious, cheesy & fresh. Always a winner!!
Great place for a beer and to catch a game with some buds & bros.
Simple, unpretentious and tucked into a little spot between Pine Time and KFC on Rosmead Ave.

Great food, great service and great beer. The real pub/bar experience, unpretentious. You will never be disapointed. Supported by locals for over 20 years.

If there is a place where you would love to really amazing pizza then I would always suggests going to Rascals!!!! ... I always make sure I have pizza whenever I go there! ... The staff are always friendly and open and the owners are awesome! ... Rascals just has that warm, welcoming vibe with amazing confront food, you just feel at home there and welcomed ... It is an awesome place to chill at with family and friends having a few drinks while we wait for those amazing pizzas to arrive, which is soo worth the wait. They take a while to make the pizzas which I have no issues with us at all, its always been that way, thats why their pizzas are the best, because they never rush them. They take care and time making them and when you get your pizza, you will understand why it takes a bit longer, the qualify and taste if them is so amazing and out of this world! ... Customer's are warned before hand that the pizzas do take a bit longer, there are signs everywhere warning people about the extra wait for pizzas, especially on a busy night, it also states in their menu about the pizza wait. Iv seen people get so angry when their pizza is taking a while at the poor waiters, after having signs everywhere saying their pizzas take longer, people still get upset which is wrong! If someone doent want to wait long for a pizza then dont order one or go somewhere else for pizza which wont be as good as Rascals! ... Hands down Rascals has the best pizza!!! ... Awesome people working there with such an lovely, warm, home environment.... I really want their pizza now hahaha!

Just ordered a couple pizzas to eat at home, always really good pizza and good value for money. Wouldn't order the curry pizza again, but that is just personal preference.. Not because it was horrible! The Mexicana was a little bland.. But the rest were great!

First time at Rascals, and it was not bad. Had the wings platter... peri peri was not very peri, and the savoury rice was kinda bland, but it was ok. Service was nice and friendly. Vibe was decent for a Thursday late afternoon.

Man United all the way, I walked in to Rascals and I was blown away. A Manchester United supporter's sports bar... It was amazing, food was great at really good prices. Will be back for the next game...:-)

This is a local pub, nothing fancy, but the food is always good with specials happening. Staff are friendly. Good place to come have a drink and watch some sports.

Rascals pub is a hop, skip and a jump away from home and is always a goodie when we feel like a chilled drink, bite to eat or spot to watch the game. The food is good, drinks are cheap and there's always a bit of a vibe inside.

We usually order their pizzas which are great. The mexican in particular is a firm favourite!

Sunday's are roast days and definitely worth a visit - especially now that the weather is a little cooler.

The curry is also yum! A fab selection of tasty food, portions are generous and prices are good.

The little Rascal!!! Great pub for sports and pub lunches. Great vibe and great service. Very local spot, budget friendly all round great to support.

My favourite pub to catch a rugby game while munching on what is possibly the best pizza! With a television in viewing comfort from your seat, you are sure to enjoy whichever sport you prefer and if you aren't keen on pizza, the menu offers a variety of other meal options to settle your hunger. I however, suggest either the Front House, Lucy's Special or Big Bird pizza's.
Alice Scott
It's a simple sports bar with all the trimmings required to make it fit it's description. This humble place, however, serves some seriously good food! Amazing chicken wings and pizza for sure and ample specials to make anyone on budget smile!

Perfect If you are looking for a fuss free lunch or dinner or if you want to catch a game!
Paul Baker
Went to rascals last Saturday to watch the rugby and football. Best place to be when the are 2 games on at the same time add they show up to 3 different sports at a time.

Had the Logie special again. Was one of the best I've had in a while.

Cold beers, it's a good local to have.
Riaan Anker
One of my favourite places in the southern suburbs to get a quick bite over lunch time.

It's basically a sports pub with a very reasonable pub menu. Their staff is always friendly and helpful. You get the feeling that the venue is a get together for local regulars.

Try their breakfasts or curry for lunch ..
