Review Asian Point - Kempton Park

The best and probably only decent Chinese place in the eastrand. Iv tried probably every other, and they were terrible. Here, food is great, portions are perfect and prices are fair. Only advice, add stronger cutlery tfor takeaway options those spoons /forks can't even pick up or hold a serving. The Thai dishes aren't the best here but sushi is great too.

Always have delicious sushi here. Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Would reccomend trying their golden fried bread for dessert.

Very affordable, great food and they made the food quickly. Had the pork chow mein with fresh chilies. Was delicious. They also have beers and ciders if you wanna have a drink while waiting.

Love this place and love their food

Great value for money. An excellent selection of asian dishes and sushi. They offer quick service and great food. This is my local go to asian food place. I have repeatedly ordered the delicious beef chow fan.

One of the best locations to get Chinese food on the East Rand. The crispy pork and lemon chicken are particularly good and highly recommended. Spring rolls are also good - not too oily and full of meat and flavour.

The most amazing staff and service despite them being busy last night. Staff still remember us - even recognize my voice when I reserve a table, what wine we drink - what are our favourite starters, etc. Ocean Basket at Cape Town International Airport can take a really good lesson from them.

Amazing food!!!! Great staff (thanks Frans for the great service) and very friendly manager that makes you feel at home, even in the cold winter weather. I highly recommend the Ocean Basket at Brentwood Park shopping centre to any and ALL!!! Its always nice to say after a great meal that it was EVERT cent worth paying!! Won't order a cocktail again. They pour it from a box. Grilled Fish was excellent. Sweet potatoes were deepfried which is not the preferred preperation method, oil was dripping out of it.

I took my family to OB Brentwood Park on Friday (25 March). It wasn't very busy when we arrived with only a few tables being occupied. We were seated outside, given menus and that's when the long wait began. We were a table of 8, of which one was a very old lady of 93 years and a 7 month pregnant woman. None of these factors were noticed by our super ignorant waitress. Our waitress only reappeared about 15 minutes later to take the drinks order. Then we waited for the very simple drinks order to arrive. Next was the order for starters, and only 2 people out of our party of 8 ordered starters. The starters only arrived with the mains. As for the mains, that took well over an hour to arrive - and only after our pregnant lady got up to find out what was happening with our food. When the mains eventually materialised, we were all so hungry that we couldn't remember who ordered what. The manager only came to our table after we had eaten to ask if everything was ok. We told her we waited so long for our food and her lame explanation was that they had two large tables inside. So this means if they have anything more than 2 large tables to attend to then everything else comes to a grinding halt. What utter rubbish because we looked around inside and out and we were the largest table being occupied at the time. Let me not even get started on the food itself. Basically poor quality for the prices they charge. I had sushi and the plate was full of wasabi fingerprints. You can get much better quality sushi at a Pick 'n Pay. Avoid this place unless you like waiting a long time for your food and wasting your hard earned money on bad service.
