Very nice atmosphere. Love the music and decor. Food was great! Real burgers, big and tasty. The chips were the best! Waiters are friendly and clued up. Good service. Will definitely visit again.

70's vibe, cement finishing, sociable, not cosy or romantic, good spot to enjoy a superb burger and watch some sports. Specialty are burgers, out of this world tasty burgers, real thick meat patties, wonderful assortment of burger toppings, milkshakes to die for, Creme Brulé shake was wonderful. Fries on the side very tasty and crispy. Overall a very pleasant experience and would recommend. Waiters friendly too, especially Michael.

The owners are proud people and staff very helpful. Free WiFi and modern toilet facilities - parking will be ample once the road works ( on the main road ) have been completed

Great atmosphere and creative setting. Delicious burgers and beverages! Very good service. I would have loved a bit more variety in the set menu, but was an overall wonderful culinary experience. Good fun for the whole family.

Awww this place definitely broke my heart. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it was my first time here. I was super excited. The place looks completely beautiful inside. Their wallpaper design is so attractive and fun to look at. We got here I think on a Sunday night around 7pm if I'm not mistaken. The place was pretty empty which for us was a great thing, more privacy for us. They have a nice cosy area to sit and relax while also being able to watch the tv. The guy that was serving us that day was of great service it's a pity I don't remember his name. They have a pretty pleasing menu but I didn't like the beverages they had because both my partner and I are non-alcoholics. Right when we were getting ready to order our meals a waiter came to us and told us that the chefs were knocking off and we would not be able to get any food. I was so sad because I was anticipating their burgers the most. My boyfriend was not so happy either so the guy that was serving us earlier which I think was the manager came by and apologized for the inconvenience. He told us to come back any other time to get a free meals *Yay* . But we never took him on his offer because we were worried he wasn't going to remember us. Hopefully when we do go back his offer will still stand lol.

What an awesome place, price vs food, unbeatable

Mmmm burgers are juicy, tasty and great - just like home made and not like processed fast food. Enjoyable experience.

What a Nice place! I love the place, the restrooms are clean and finished of in a retro style. They have indoor and outdoor seating . The selection of milkshake flavors are very unique, like have you ever had a Lavender or Rose flavored milkshake? Worth a try in my opinion. The friendly staff really make an effort to keep you happy. Its worth it to try this place if you haven't been there yet.

First time in the place and I had a fantastic miss piggy burger, nice taste, nice price, didn’t take so long to be ready, enjoyed a lot!!!!!

The food and drinks are of good quality but the service is shocking. Only 1 waiter present and she can't handle all the tables. And waiting 30min for the bill....you need to have more people helping seriously.

Monday nights are the best,  build the burger you want. Generous portions of food. Good value, good taste. Build an Avo, feta, bacon & salami.

Wow, what a surprise. Wonderful effort has been put into the quirky decor from old enamel bowl lampshades to vinyl lp placemats and record sleeves for menus. The burgers were outstanding, solid chargrilled 200g patties and generous toppings. I had the Sugarman with a generous portion of real blue cheese complemented by the tomato jam. My partner had the Bruce Lee which had a chilli sauce with a pleasant bite. Chips are great. Buns seem custom made with a solid base to hold it all together through an entire hand held eating extravaganza. Great friendly service. And amazingly these babies were each priced under R90.

Suprisingly good!! The food is very good and the service is good as well. Much better than Rocco Mammas. The only criticism I would have is that the vibe could be better. The restaurant almost seems to spaced out.

Great value for money... The burgers are massive and delicious! We went home with a lot of leftovers! Staff are efficient and friendly! We will be back with bigger appetites next time! Well worth the drive from Edenvale!

Portions are huge, just the way I like it. We ordered take away. 4 burgers in 10 minutes. Excellent service. A must try for burger fanatics.

Fantastic place, great music, food is more than enuff and tastes amazing. Not a place for kids but good date spot. Service isn't lacking and the vibe is great well worth a visit

Burger Bistro is a little gem basically specialising in Burgers... There is a variety of burgers to choose from and you will find something that work for your taste. The burgers are big and the patty tasteful. in fact I will complement them on that. we were welcomed by the car guard who immediately signaled a table for three ti the waiter. good stuff. try it out

Yum !!! Fantastic burgers and great service. If you are looking for above average when it comes to burgers you can't go wrong. Service can be a little slow but it is worth the wait.

This was a good find!<br/>As the name suggests, burgers are the speciality. The restaurant is retro themed and have pictures of events and movie/pop stars of days gone by. Perfect for topics of conversations. In one corner you have an old video game buzzing away. The service was excellent I can recommend any of the milkshakes on the menu. From the boring to the adventurous. The burger menu is extensive with themed burgers. 3 stooges and miss piggy was great as advertised. There was an Elvis themed one called "all shook up" but I'll leave that for the type of person looking for something different. All round great experience. Keep it up guys 👍

Not bad, service is ok.<br/>Bought a R100 burger that was meant to taste like quacamole, nacho and cheese. Just tasted like that sauce that's loaded on the roll, tomato/bbq sauce or something.<br/>The sauce isn't mentioned on the menu, otherwise I would have told them to keep it off.<br/>Sadly all the burgers are given the same treatment, so I'm guessing they will all taste the same.

I'd heard a couple of good things about this Burger franchise so I decided to give it a try for myself .<br/>I was greeted very warmly on arrival and shown to my table, within 3 minutes I was presented with the menu and asked what my choice of beverage was.<br/>Out of a fantastic range of milkshake variants I decided to go with the creme Brule. Great choice I think. It was rich creamy and utterly delicious.<br/>But now decisions decisions decisions.<br/>Out of a fantastic variety of choices I decided to go with the Marilyn Monroe. This is a burger topped with brie cheese and strawberry and pepper Jam.<br/>I was told that they serve their burgers medium well, which I found somewhat strange???? Who eats a burger medium /well?? <br/>I asked if I could have mine medium rare, no problem... Whew! .<br/>After roughly 15 minutes I was presented with the burger which was served on a board platter and looked absolutely amazing. If it tasted half as good as it looked I was in for a treat.<br/>I'm very happy to say I was not disappointed, the burger was perfectly cooked, juicy and well seasoned and the toppings complimented the burger perfectly, and nice to see a bun that fits the burger perfectly. . Of course I had to subject this Burger to the test.... the Pikitup test.<br/>, there's nothing worse than a burger that falls apart when you pick it up, again, happy to say that it held together perfectly. Had to go into a full hunch mode to get my mouth around it but hey that's all the fun of a burger,right?<br/>Now for the chips. Ah the chips!<br/>Perfectly cooked, Golden Brown and firm. Yes!<br/>The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and although the decor is a little sparse, I love the retro rock and roll Diner feel.<br/>Seriously well done guys, the tastiest Burger I've had in many many years. First and unfortunately Last visit here. Started with the crème brulee milkshake I ordered - when it came it barely tasted like a vanilla milkshake - complained to Lady owner and sent it back. Second attempt was better. Ordered 3  burgers - took around half an hour to get them. It was Father's Day but the place wasn't packed to the rafters and if burgers are all you do it shouldn't take as long. Waiter was absent most of the time had to flag down other helpful staff throughout. When Burgers came - all looked great - unfortunately hubby's Hiroshima burger - mushroom sauce was cold - I ordered the 3 stooges plus mushroom sauce and spinach - mushroom sauce lukewarm as were chips - only spinach hot. Daughter had the burger with nachos - hunt the nachos! My burger was tasty and was generous with avo, bacon and feta. Complained to lady owner again re. cold food, who was very nice and asked what she could do to make it better - told her no redo's on the food as we were hungry and had waited quite a bit - she offered us cappuccinos on the house - which was nice of her. No visible management in kitchen which is why we suspect food standing and getting cold - owner was constantly checking their seating list - rather expend energy on making the paying customers' that are there happy and that the food level is up to scratch. After we had our coffee's had to ask for bill from someone other than our waiter and waited again. The place is new and perhaps its teething problems however for a bill of over R400 it really didn't seem worth it. To top it all this evening all of us have stomach problems.

Wow!! What a breath of fresh air in Glen Marais.<br/>With your ordinary burger joints all around, this local fresh franchise left us with plenty of laughs at the "quack quack" selection of milkshakes and interesting menu.<br/><br/>I had their Marilyn Monroe- deliciously fresh burger with brie cheese and strawberry and pepper jam.<br/>The boyfriend had the 3 Stooges and definitely the winner in my mind - Avo, bacon and feta cheese (messy and juicy!)<br/><br/>Usually you get a standard bun at burger joints, these buns fit the contents perfectly. (Buns/ratio is perfect)<br/><br/>We'll see you soon again. :)<br/>

Really great spot in Glen Marais. This area really needs a nice new non-franchise type trendy restaurant and this ticks the boxes. Burgers are big and tasty and selection of burgers was significant. My wifes one was really good, the Marilyn Monroe, surprisingly. Decor is also great and it's much larger inside than it originally looks from the outside! They have craft beer too, although I didn't try any. Well done guys will be back
