There was always talk about this gem in Kalk Bay and ended up here for dinner. Unfortunately part of the restaurant was affected by a recent freak wave but still open for business. The views are breathtaking and situated right on the sea where you can have a clear view of the water with some boats and surfers. Brass Bell was so unique in every sense. The food was amazing, well prepared and well worth the value for money. If you have not been here, make a trip and you will not regret it. Will be back on my next trip to CT. For sure a must for tourists.

Very good muscles in the lobster sauce 🦞 I had to try it as soon as I saw it. It's slightly tomatoey, creamy and has a light flavour. When you dip the bruschetta in, you're in heaven! Service was a little slow and not very attentive. The place was a bit quiet. Plenty of seating! Not very cheap, but fair for a good meal.

We had dinner at the theatre restaurant before attending a Rodriquez tribute show. Both were amazing! The dinner was stunning. Pork belly and crispy, tasty pork rind. Others at the table had calamari and curry, and all said food was great. The service was definitely worth commenting on and added to a wonderful evening out.

Food was fresh and tasty and our waiter was lovely. We were seated in the bar area so we didn't get the amazing 360 views you usually get when seated in the middle, but the experience was still great and we did have some good ocean views.

The Brass Bell is an institution and must be visited. We had a latish lunch and boy we were happy to have insisted on the Brass Bell. The waitresses were a little slow to warm up to us and we waited for tables to be cleared to enjoy one on the deck. Once we were settled all was good. Food arrived super quickly and I was not disappointed. I had the mussels (rich and delicious) and my daughter had Hake, Calamari and Chips. Make the trip it’s well worth it.

Robb definitely made this an excellent experience, he was vibey, on point, attention to detail especially with the hot chocolate 😊 and friendly service. Chef sent out some lovely complimentary bites. Food was absolutely amazing. Our calamari was cold but the experience made up for it.

Amazing view, great atmosphere and setting. The food is really tasty and the beer was perfectly cold. The staff is great, very quick and friendly. All round great experience! Would highly recommend. We were there for a live show, kid friendly venue and the sound was great. We stayed far longer than we intended!

Not a word of a lie- the best food I have tasted. Couldn’t recommend it more. Had the mussels for starters, prawns for mains and crème brûlée for dessert. 10/10 for me! 👌🦐

What a cool restaurant!!! Wish it had a small area for kids and the seafood could have been a little better but the service and atmosphere make up for it!! Dodgy walk to get inside but inside its awesome and you feel like your on a ship almost!

Once again, you did not disappoint! The food was fresh, well prepared and very tasty. Ordered pizzas and the hake and calamari combo. Service was quick and spot-on, despite the restaurant being very busy. Thank you to our very friendly and entertaining waitress. Can't wait to visit again.

This place is a definite 5 stars. Great music, great service, great food. There's a nice little bar upstairs that also serves as the smoking area which was great. You can also order and eat your food in the bar which was very convenient. I order the hake and calamari combo which was exquisite. The fried combo is even tastier than the grilled for those of you not worried about the calories. Service was excellent all round. There's receptionists at the front door to guide you to a table and the waiters are really on the ball. I'm definitely coming back. No doubt about it. It's also a really great place for couples for the love birds that are interested.

An old classic of Kalk Bay. You have to try it. Classic meals such as mussels in garlic or fish and chips and lots of other offers. Nothing was absolutely spectacular, but all was delicious. Drinks were ice cold. The views of being literally in the scram, among the kelp, was fantastic; as was the service.

Popped in for drinks on a hot summer day. Amazing ocean views from the top deck. Entertaining service from our waiter. Bring your bathing suit and towel for a refreshing dip in the deep tidal pools. Bookings are a must during the busy summer season, especially on the weekend. Will return for lunch next time. The dishes that were being served to diners looked delish!

The food and atmosphere was wonderful! It's positioned with waves literally when you look out the window! The best view from a restaurant! Great service and would personally recommend the 'Fishermans soup' 🍲🐟🐙

Lovely views of the ocean but sadly the pizza isn't that good. Would not recommend the pizza here. The calamari is tasty. The calzone could be better, it wasn't very flavourful.
