Review Soul Souvlaki Craighall Park - Johannesburg

Simple, fresh and tasty food. I've ordered delivery a couple times from here. I then visited the shop to pick up a milkshake as I had a sudden craving one evening and was going it would be super fresh. The staff member assigned to make my milkshake took 25 minutes to do so. By the time she had got the ingredients into the blender the entire tub of Ola ice cream she used had almost melted. Being somewhat patient, I observed with interest as this staff member very slowly put each component into the blender, as the ice cream melted and the bacteria in the environment had multiplied around 700x given the rate at which bacteria cells multiply and the sluggishness with which this staff member operates. I then politely implied that the milkshake was taking a fascinating amount of time to make, which was met with a smile alike that of a 3 year old when you tell then their finger painting is brilliant and they must be so talented. After another 10 minutes I used a slightly sterner tone to emphasize that this must be a new world record in time taken to make a milkshake. Even if this staff was new, the manager there did not attempt to improve their efficiency. By the time it was finished, it filled half the cup so she then filled the rest up with whipped cream, which I specifically said I didn't want, literally as she continued pouring it in. So I got some milk amd whipped cream that took 25 to 30 minutes to make. I may go back with my notepad next time to perhaps scientifically determine how a milkshake can take so long even after being politely prompted by a customer to please try speed up. I'm just hoping those customers who ordered milkshakes last week get their milkshakes sometime this week. It's ice cream blended with stuff. Crisis.

Awesome spot to grab a quick bite to eat. Friendly staff and great food. Not much of a seating area so don't try bring a big group of people unless you are all getting takeout. Highly recommended.

The discovery of a much closer and more combiner Soul Souvlaki is a welcome surprise. What was once a main reason to head out to Maboneng is now deliverable to your doorstep. I have it on good authority that this fits the bill for authentic Greek Street food, and for someone who wouldn't know, I thoroughly enjoy not only the flavours and combinations served, but the atmosphere and spirit of the place that is bustling and inviting. Take a trip and experience the adventures Craighall has to offer in Soul Souvlaki's incredible food.

Ordered a lamb Shwarma. Super quick and super tasty. Meat is tender and they are generous with the sauces. The pita bread it comes wrapped in is fresh and tasty in itself.I love the cute little shop and quick bite seating. Also had delicious fried halloumi.

I love the food here and the restaurant now offers a few vegan options. The ingredients are all healthy and delicious and the service is always friendly. I visited this branch as the one in Maboneng closed down and was pleased to see that all the staff from Maboneng are now working in the Craighall branch. I definitely recommend this restaurant but as more of a take out place than somewhere to sit down. The food is ready in minutes so it's a great fast food option and conveniently located on Jan Smuts, close to Hyde Park Shopping Centre.

We were introduced to Soul Souvlaki by a friend and what a gem to find. There isn't a large menu and we've only had four items off the menu. And each and every time the food is consistent in flavour and quality, despite its richness. Staff are great too.

We had the lamb souvlaki and a plated lamb and food tasted great! I'm giving 4 stars coz its not a dining place, more of a takeaway abd a quick lunch place. There are few chairs to dine facing the parking lot.

Fantastic food at great prices, always fantastic service. It's a small place with a massive soul. Don't be deceived by the external appearance, it will definitely satisfy your craving for Greek food!

Generous portions of pasta and pizza, unfortunately marlin carpaccio was sold out but the beef carpaccio was a good fallback. Cost spot but they close at 9:00pm. Presumably because of the adjacent residences.
