Terrible service. 45 minute wait for drinks, only at that point did the waitress say there was no cream for the cappuccino ordered. meals ordered with chips with received with salad after an hour and told they had no chips. calamari ordered with rice received with salad. shocking!<br/>

With some time to kill while waiting for a friend to depart internationally I sat waiting at this cafe. Perfectly situated at the beginning of Terminal. Views of airport clear. My son ordered a plate of chips which they said they didnât have which if you see carefully everything is served with chips, so I didnât understand them not having a critical side like chips at an international airport. The coffees were OK they came on time. Although I asked for hot milk they put in cold milk so my Chai was rather cold.

Before saying goodbye to friends going back overseas, we stopped at Byte Cafe for a quick snack and coffee. The restaurant was fairly busy and service was so-so. Liked the chips - was cooked perfectly! Coffee was a lovely strong cuppa!

07.04.2018 I've been to this place so many times. Each time a friend is flying overseas. Service varies sometimes they are on the ball and other times they as slow as anything, like this day.<br/><br/>Drinks are not bad. My pal ordered this Malva Pudding and it was like a Malva boat never seen any place give this much custard.

Food was great, waiters lie and add extra items to the bill, then want to try explain how many times they make the same mistake, manager expalins the waiter is a trainee, but this is the 3rd time in a month im overcharged and have to go through my bill, this is not acceptable as we as travellers dont have the time to go through a large bill item by item before flights.

Absolutely disgusting food with almost non-existent service. Tables weren't cleaned and menus weren't taken away so eating the grovel was more like a jigsaw puzzle due to all the clutter. I won't return.

Surprising restaurant hidden in the corner of the airport. <br/>Delicious meals and great service! The menu is vast offering a variety of different types of meals and snacks! <br/>All the meals that I tried were flavoursome and cooked to perfection.

Byte is a cafe situated close to the departure parking lot in OR TAMBO. A work errand had me visiting Byte for something to eat and drink.At my arrival, I was amazed to see all the waiters standing to seat people but after sit down I waited a long time to be served,in fact I had to call for Service. This was not even during busy hours.When I finally placed my order,i ordered chicken and avo tramezzini with extra feta and a strawberry juice.When the food arrived there was so little feta on you could only see small white patches and this for r13.90. I sent it back and was helped with no problem. I felt the chicken was over cooked which made the whole tramezzini so dry and I wasn't a fan of the sauces so I had to eat it as is. Other than that the food was well presented and settings are spacious and convenient as their are plug sockets as well as wifi to sit and work while having a bite.

The fact that you based at an airport should mean that general service should be quicker than your average. Yes, that does sound like a Craig David song, however Craig David releases albums quicker than you can get a beer in this place. You get 1.5 because the beer was cold.

Had coffee here before a flight recently and it was honestly really bad. We waited for ages for our order to be taken, I had to ask for water twice before I got it and waitress spilt my coffee and messed the saucer and cup. Definitely won't go back here as there are better options at the airport.

I've eaten here a few times now because you come to the airport to say goodbye to friends and you don't think too much of it. <br/><br/>Came here today again (not my choice) and again, this place is average at best. Ordered chicken strips and chips and literally got a kiddies portion. The poor waiter is doing his best but this restaurant is everything that's wrong with restaurants in SA. The attitude is basically that if you don't like it, go somewhere else. <br/><br/>Hope these guys understand that eventually the wheel turns. If you charge R80 for a plate of food, deliver some kind of quality. I don't see myself coming back here no matter who I'm saying goodbye to!

Went to drop my in-laws and went for coffee after check in (far too much stress prior to that even though we are always 3 hours early !) We received a welcome someway in front of the entrance, clearly business was quite .. We had lovely coffee just the way I like it, with a healthy sized toastie and chips on the side. For a casual snack it was greAt, service was friendly and prompt, luckily, so no added stress.

The cafe was far from being full but I Waited 20minutes for simple water with lemon. My friends got their latte's and cappuccino's before I got my hot water with lemon.
