Review Treviso Cafe - Johannesburg

Eliyah Sischy
Delicious and authentic Italian food. Their menu and specials cater to a wide variety of palettes. The ingredients used are quality and bring forth the authenticity of Italian cuisine. Service is great and staff are friendly. The manager is involved and ensures everyone feels welcome. The deli is always freshly stocked and has a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. They also have free wi-fi. The centre can get busy so parking may be a pinch at rush hours.

Haven't been to the restaurant but order in to the office sometimes and have never been disappointed with the quality or freshness of the food. The pasta portions are generous and the penne with mushrooms and creamy arrabiata sauce is fantastic.

Pizza Heaven is hidden on the 4th floor of Morkel house and has the most beautiful view over Ellis Park, Ponte, Hillbrow and the city. Fabulous coffee, muffins, toasted sandwiches, great pasta and very delicious Pizzas. Owner Sergio is a gracious host and it is a fabulous place for breakfast and lunch

On receiving my cappuccino, a large swimming pool of milk and hardly any coffee, I was quite disappointed as I had specified to the waiter that I wanted a proper cappuccino and not a Caffè latte. Thankfully the second try was much better and what a proper cappuccino is supposed to be.

One of my favourite spots for a panino (sandwich) and a coffee. I usually get the Italian salami and it never disappoints. Fantastic sourdough bread as well. A must try.

The Crown Jewel 👑 💎 of Hidden Gems!!!
You may have, unknowingly, already tasted Treviso's heavenly sourdough bread in many a Jozi restaurant. And now you can enjoy this delightful crusty goodness fresh from the oven! What a treat!? Especially when it's accompanied by freshly brewed Italian coffee and exquisite sunrises across the iconic Jozi skyline.

Located in the heart of the next "trendy- facelifted " suburb of New Doornfontein; Treviso is surrounded by the excitement of rejuvenation, hip art galleries and touristy walking groups. If it weren't for the home of the Lions Rugby Team in the background, one could easily think that you were in Italy!

If the legendary loaves and lookout haven't inspired you, then the food certainly should! Delicious and homely real Italian fare, made by an Italian. No fuss pizza, pasta, panini and prima colazione, one thing yummier than the next!!

Follow the aroma of baking bread and brewing cafe towards the Italian Flag proudly flying from the 4th floor of Morkel House... I will... repeatedly!
