Went to the restaurant when they first opened so this review is a bit old. I found the food very nice at the time and the service was good. The vibe is nice and I enjoyed it.
Stopped here because I had to get work done and free WiFi was the deciding factor. The waiter recommended an iced drink to me, which was good. The hazelnut frappe I think. Previously had the sushi here and wasn't all that impressed with it but I'd stop for a drink and WiFi/get work done here again.

The Market Cafe - Kosher. Now under new management. The display of fresh croissants look worthy of a French Patisserie! Service was fast and very friendly. They will also be offering a catering/platter service and will have ready-made food available on Fridays - very convenient for your Friday night suppers! Although this establishment has changed management and ownership quite often, the latest takeover does seem to be a positive shift in the right direction. It's definitely worth a visit!

Great variety of fruits. For good deals, demystify their prices by browsing through their packing. Customer service is unfortunately not exceptional, most especially by the seed section where I had to wait for over 15 minutes before my seeds were weighed and stamped with a price by a middle aged lady. It was as though she was doing me a favor! However, the men at the store were very professional most especially those at the fruit section.
Overall it's a well stocked shop. I wish for a Food Lover's Market in Auckland Park soon instead of the 10km drive.

Having lived in Scotland for over 25 years, it is always a treat to come back to South Africa on holiday and be able to shop for fresh local produce. Food Lover's Market has an abundance of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, nuts, and other tasty ingredients including sweet and savoury products. All at affordable prices. The amount of choice and quality of the food is absolutely outstanding. Was very reassuring to see that Covid-19 sanitisation and hygiene policies are followed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience for this foodie and I wish we had something like this in the UK. When we visited the store in early Feb 2022, my wife and I even bumped into one of our friends we had not seen in many, many years. It made our visit to the store even more memorable!

There's also a wonderful food display to choose from, which is great for lunch on the go.
I do wish they were a little cheaper, but hey if it's quality you want, then it's quality you'll pay for and receive in full.
They have a variety of fresh veggies and fruits in abundance- berries, squashes, lentils, lettuces... so many options and even combo packs, which is great for bachelors doing month end shopping.
There's also a lovely little cafe styled restaurant next to the tills, which serve the most divine breakfast, so take the family there on a Saturday morning, grab an early bite and kick start your day.
Very nice and clean. A place u can get all your veges, meat, dairy products. Cooked food, fruit, nuts even fish and firewood/chaco. It was my first visit there at Norwood mall. Also advantage is it's right on the entrance so it's easy to go in and out. They have the best cashiers and you don't wait for anyone to help while inside shopping, they are always available. Keep it up guys and the prices are way cheaper than most places around me. Food lovers you are the best. I will recommend anyone to buy from you. I also liked the restaurants around.
Very good shop! I just don't like the Mall security because 2 weeks ago to this day l went to the bathrooms in there, a man came in and stole my phone on the sink as l was busy washing my hands. Went to the security desk asked them to look at CCTV footage so they can see the man who came in and out before me as it was only the 2 of us but they refused. From my point of view there's no need to have such a company looking after the Mall if we aren't protected as customers because it was only 5 minutes after the incident so the guy could have been caught. Food Lovers very good shop by the way.
Great produce. Huge selection of goods. Prices of specials very alluring. What is not on special in other words the majority of their offerings some prices are not competitive . Overall a pleasant experience. Well done the Coppan brothers. Your mom used to work for me years ago

I like this place. Fruit and Veg freshness is normally good.
I buy kosher so the meat there and baked stuff is out for me but it looks OK.
Fresh fish counter is decent. They know how to work with fish.
Always get the freshest scones & yummy rock buns. Tuesday fruit & veg specials.
Today bananas @R9.99 per kg. My favourite.

The shop is clean and extra tidy. If they can up their service at the sweet and nuts weighing station. On 3 occasions where I had to leave my sunflower seed, linseed as a result of non attendance of the station. Please balance that area. One other thing, please ask your bakery staff not to underestimates our pocket. One lady on that side told me how expensive are their croissants and she doesn't think I will afford it. As someone who was well upbrought, I just kept quiet and went to my next best croissant shop.
I would say that my overall experience of this particular branch is not bad. They generally have stock of most of the grocery items we buy regularly and even on the occasion that we make an extravagant meal. Always plenty of safe parking available.
Always a pleasant shopping experience. But forgive me for mentioning the following. The area in and around the fresh fish counter requires a regular spirit vinegar swab on counters and floor to control the odour.
Good shopping experience and produce as well as extras like nuts and meringues. No complaints. I haven't tried deli foods or fish but they look good. Good prices, but not a specialty store.
