chicken burger was a bit chewy, chocolate mousse is frozen.They were a little under stocked with the magnum ice cream options - service was good and the store was clean. Presentation of food was okay

Yes HORROR OF HORRORS I went to have lunch with a client at a Nandos Store. Yes you know how I feel about this franchise but I must admit I had a good experience at this store. The service is ultra friendly - it is a sit down and take away store. You place your order at the counter and they give you a Nandos Cock with a number on it and one the food is ready, they bring it to you, There is a guyt hat goes around that will give you fresh glasses with ice (if you having a drink) and will bring the cutlery as well. When I arrived I sat down and waited for my client, and he offered to purchase a drink for me while I wait - I thought that is so cool... he took my money and returned with my coke zero. I thought wow! how cool.
My client arrived and I got him chicken with wedges while I ordered the hotpot meal that came with chicken chunks, tomato and onion gravy and rice. I am almost converted; the chicken was fresh and the meal satisfyingly delicious.
The store manager came to our table,unbeknown that I am a major Zomato freak (and no I didn't tell him anything), but he explained the whole fusion of AfroPortuguese delights that they do and experiment with - so yes it is not just a Portuguese franchise but fusion and I thought cool...
The store has a classic "laanie" feel about it, fresh and modern look and quiet homey. I was quiet impressed - well done team Nandos Ormonde.
As a sit down place this is one of the better Nando's. The portion sizes for the quarter chicken is decent compared to scrawny sizes at Rosebank and Sandton. The chips were fresh and not refried or burnt. The garlic roll is also done well here. The chicken livers were delicious.
The takeaway service is not as good - often the chicken can be dry and condiments are forgotten. As at all Nando's I would recommend you sit down and eat - it just tastes better.
Service was quick and the manager came to check on us. This branch has recently been revamped with plenty of space to sit down and more modern decor and finishings.
The staff members there were great. I loved them, and I wish tipping was an option I would have done that....

Ordered on a Saturday night during peak hour at 18:40. By 18:44 my order was ready to go! Great, efficient service and a tasty juicy piece of chicken! Big thanks to Zama and team for the great service 👍🏼
The food is great but please grill the corn and put some Nando’s sauce. It tastes like it was prepared for someone who has stomach ulcers.

I had a bank card problem. The lady tried by all means for me to have my meal. Finally we managed to make it work after many attempts. She was really helpful and I'm glad.
Cooked to perfection there was a lady that served me her services where so professional she lovely 🌹🌹🌹 l forgot her name but wow
Nandos chicken consistently good...the service was was really good. Our waitress was really friendly and helpful.
