Tokyo Star Bar - Johannesburg - Photo album

Great little pub with a tangible feeling of โ€œhistoryโ€. Barman seemed a little surprised that we were there for lunch (just before 13:00), but the burgers were delicious. Word has it that the vibe picks up significantly later in the day. Menu is relatively limited but adequate.
What a gem ๐Ÿ’Ž. Had an unexpectedly awesome time at this spot. The vibe is amazing, people and the place is too cool. They have a great selection of beers, they had 3 different cocktails (managed to get to them all ๐Ÿ˜Š) and mouth-watering mini-meals, ribs wings, you name it ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ. On my next visit, I'll
The music is good, the service is lovely and the alcohol is very affordable, I enjoyed it, then there is karaoke Sundays, not to be missed
Always a great vibe anytime you visit and with an awesome stuff
Kitcheners (as the locals call it) is the ideal bar for experiencing the inner Johannesburg city culture... the multi racial/cultural vibe will see you having your best time ever. The diverse music genre is amazing๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿพ... oldest bar in the city; still most amazing ๐ŸคŒ๐Ÿฝ
It's so versatile and I really love the mood whenever I go there because I get to meet creatives
Sunday night karaoke is an experience that all Braamis should have at least once.
Such a cool place, with amazing music (regardless of the time of day). The staff is super friendly and you will always find interesting and welcoming people. Had their fries, tasty af. Wing portions are also lit. Would recommend.
Such a chilled and vibey place. Shout out to the man behind the bar, Mfundo, he took care of us. Super dope personality. Including Neo Sanchezz who DJ'd such a fire set of hip-hop to old skool house.
One hell of a place I wouldn't mind going back there
My visit to JHB would have been a disaster if i didn't make it here. The music is always great, the people are always a nice vibe and it really is the best spot to chill after a long day at work. Nice sundowners and turn up nights. All in all a great place.
Definitely not a location I would have found myself getting smashed in on my own accord, but I must say I had a solidly great experience overall! And might I add their cheese sauce is absolutely out of this world! I would definitely go there again!
Fantastic music and cozy ambiance, it's like that very successful house party. The best place to let loose , dance and great conversations. Great place for over 40s too !! It closes at 4am, so ends up being the after party for all outings... Everyone ends up at Kitchiner's from student to A-lister!
The Thursday night vibe was great. Music ranged from old school hip hop to salsa music and a battery of of others. There's adequate space for one to dance plus there's an artsy open back area
Very good place, relax and friendly. A pub to discover absolutely
Places are different so are their experiences. If you have the right people you will always have the right vibe.
This is a great place to have fun with your friends. You mostly going to be surrounded by hipsters (which is cool). Wear your 90s clothing and go straight to Kitchener's and have fun. Entrance is free during the day until 8 p.m
