Beauuuuutiful place! Convenient location with parking on the road. Amazing service and the food was awesome. Ordered a chai latte with almond milk and a veg bean soup with extra chili. The chai was perfect, not too sweet and the soup was fresh, tasty and well cooked. Overall a great experience and vegan friendly.
Really lovely, calm place. Great for a date or just hanging with friends. Food is delicious, fresh and warm and the drinks are phenomenal. Service was really friendly. It was just a great experience all around
this place I would recommend over and over again....we called to see if we could arrive after their function and they said yes....we got there but unfortunately their gas stopped working...Linda the manager felt bad and gave me and my Hubby a glass of wine to apologize....a few minutes later they said they can see if they can try make their chicken wrapped with bacon and stuffed mozzarella pesto....and they managed to get one out which is big enough to share...we got treated like gold and the food tastes great and would go back in a heart beat
Delicious homestyle traditional cooking, intimate, lovely warm hostess!! No waiters which I thought was excellent. Had the oxtail and salmon, with traditional African sides e.g samp, pap. Cosy atmosphere. Ideal for small functions too. Affordable prices. Strongly recommended for a different Southern African experience!!

A few weeks ago, I was introduced to At Kate’s Kitchen. At Kate’s Kitchen is based in the trendy dining area of Parktown North. I visited them on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. At Kate’s Kitchen is all about elegant home style cooking and real food; a kind of 'kitchen away from home' type of restaurant. I’d never heard of At Kate’s Kitchen to be honest, but after visiting them I definitely felt like I had been missing out. At Kate’s Kitchen is certainly a hidden gem and quite an incredible one at that!
This place is small but cozy. The furniture is on point. Had an amazing meal. The gentleman who helped us was supper friendly. Had a combo of the chicken breast wrapped in bacon stuffed with creamy spinach. It was devine. Also tried the oxtail with creamy samp. Wow. Amazing. I’ll definitely be going back 😋
We went for dinner at this restaurant , it is so small yet so Cosy. The waiter was amazing.I thought it was beautiful.The food were homely , I’ll be back.

So lovely and intimate. Manager and opener was so attentive. Very generous delicious portions (and I love me some left overs). Had the bacon wrapped chicken with samp. Delectable!
We came on a quiet Tuesday night, the atmosphere was cozy and we were so well received by Sibusiso who looked after us so well all night.
The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The wine was well priced too which was plus for us!

The menu is small, however the food is tasty, and delivers as per the synopsis. The owner Phumi is so engaging and checks up on you in the most polite manner. The restaurant is named after late mom Kate. Definitely recommend on price and taste.

This Saturday my friend and I went to Kate's Kitchen without really being certain what to expect from this place that promises authentic south African hearty food. What we got when we arrived was exactly that - an unpretentious place, cosy and warm with amazing food that instantly made me home sick. The oxtail was especially tasty and had the meat falling off the bone. This accompanied by their delicious creamy samp - A definite hit. The service was fantastic and we also met with the owner who is just a treat- warm and bully, she gave us insight to the restaurant's logo and her journey to realising her dream of opening a an authentic Mzansi place with a touch of finesse. A place I'd recommend for a family Sunday lunch .
A new discovery for me (thanks to the Entertainer app). Had the most delicious comforting garlicky mac & cheese last night. Select but quality wine list. Surprisingly quiet venue considering the delicoiusness of the food. Attentive & friendly service! PS amazing bread rolls too
The food is amazing, reminds one of scrumptious homecooked meals. The restaurant is really intimate and cosy, great idea for a date night. Service is friendly and drinks are expertly prepared. All around an excellent dining experience
Great food - This is a small restaurant, tucked away between other restaurants in Parktown North and has a lovely homely feel to it.
The menu is small but chosen with care and offers food to cater for all tastes. I had the oxtail and it was the best oxtail dish I've ever had at any restaurant - this is a dish that I don't often order due to the lack of consistency at restaurants. This was a winning dish and something I'd recommend at Kate's kitchen.
A substantial serving, the meat fell off the bones and the dish had great flavour. Patrons, at my table, were also impressed with the dishes they enjoyed so - a winning streak all around at this restaurant
This place was quite a surprise. The food is really delicious, the service quick and the prices reasonable. This will definitely be a return trip for me!

Absolutely loved it . It's a small intimate setting but with a very polished feel. The food we had was delicious, waiters very smartly dressed and overall a good experience.
Pricing is affordable as well. I will definitely be returning here again.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. One could see that they put in a lot of effort to make you feel welcome and happy. The food was excellent but a bit on the expensive side. Luckily we had Entertainer vouchers. This is such a nice little restaurant.
