We have eaten literally hundreds of croissants all over France & Corsica, but never tasted any better than those made here! Try the almond croissants for an unbeatable treat. So it’s not the cheapest, but then the saying goes: ‘good cake is not cheap - cheap cake is not good’ Sadly, Cheryl has decided to move on, and travel is high on her list of priorities. I suggested to her that she could combine her skills with pastry and her lust for travel by looking for a job on one of the hotel barges on the canals and rivers of France. The idea appealed to her. Cheryl, we’re going to miss you and your almond croissants, but wish you all of the best for your adventurous future!

I don’t really like cakes all that much, not such a sweet tooth. BUT Amy also does breads and I keep finding myself going back for more 😁👌 Specifically try their seed loaf, two slices makes a filling lunch and on Saturday she has other varieties as well 🍞 The rest of the cakes etc really looks amazing and other patrons seem to be curiously happy and regular customers

Yum, yum, yum! Some of the best cakes and pastries I have ever tasted. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and their products are superb. Best chelsea buns I've ever eaten! The milktart is superb and their breads are always amazing. I can't wait to try more from them. 10/10

Hands down the BEST LEMON MERINGUE I have EVER eaten!! My goodness what a gem!! Everything was delicious. We had the flourless cake, salted caramel cheese cake, and I bought some biscuits oh and apple tart too. (You wouldn’t say I am watching my diet). The bakery is a stunning industrial vibe.

Literally the best thing since sliced bread. My gym moved into the Northlands Deco Park and now it's become part of my Saturday ritual to pop in and get pastries for brunch and a slice of something incredible for Saturday dinner. Love it will keep going back. (PS: The pecan nut pie & salted caramel cheesecake are to die for).

A warm and friendly lady and helpful staff, the red velvet cake oh so excellent wish I had bought more at the time and other yummy stuff I bought from her shop is honestly quality stuff...I didn't get any artificial preservative taste ...tasted like home baked cakes ....

It's probably the best bakery I've come across. I especially like the fudge and chocolate chip cookies. And the apple pie. And the frangipani tart. And the quiches. And the Christmas mince pies were awesome. Also the Guinness and steak pie... Oh my word.

We are regulars at this bakery. It is not a coffee shop, do not expect fancy seating and waiters. If you do want deliciously baked cakes, pies, biscuits etc then this is the place. I am not an expert on flour and cannot elaborate on some negative reviews about that. Personally I don't even care about it as the taste is in the pudding and the quality undeniable. Definitely the best fruit mince pies I have EVER had. Perfect pastry, generous filling...absolutely delicious!!! We love the fudge, cookies and rustic apple pie (to mention a few...). I am delighted that they also offer savoury pies. We have tried the beef and Guinness pies as well as the sausage rolls. They are truly the best pies in my opinion. The filling is to the brim, delicious and the pastry spot on. Heavenly. The products are not cheap but well worth it. The bakery is always busy regardless of the location and that speaks for itself.

Best cookies in town!! She also makes the most amazing custard slice thingy's - although you have to eat them same day! The apple pie is amazing and not to even mention the delicious ice creams!! Best baker in town!!

I just love this bakery, since discovering it I completely ignore all other bakeries because I know that they will not compare. <br/>Everything you eat is delicious and nothing disappoints, well worth the prices because you know that you are getting the freshest, best quality, natural ingredients! No artificial ingredients or pre mixes are used. I have had a number of chats with the owner and she is passionate about quality and flavor. <br/>I cannot eat cheesecake, carrot cake, lemon meringue, quiche or bread anywhere else because it's never as good. My partner and I stock up on cookies to make sure we are able to have "a cookie a day to keep the doctor away". <br/>I am disappointed to read some of the reviews though, this is not a sit down restaurant it's a bakery, while you can order what they have on the shelf and sit down outside to eat it with a hot beverage there are no waiters, just helpful accommodating staff that look after you. <br/>Stone ground flour cannot be used for everything, for some baked goods normal flour is better and not everything has flour in it as well so all the products won't necessarily have the 'advertised' product in it. <br/>From my experience there is no false advertising in this store, the items spoken about are displays to add to the decor and ambiance, no harm in that. <br/>For a taste sensation and mouth thrilling experience visit this bakery!

I love this bakery! It's so worth the drive! The cakes are made from Eureka stoned ground flour, however to my disappointment I found out today only specific products, contain eureka, 2 bakers had confirmed that not all there products are made of stone ground flour. <br/><br/>Deeply disappointed! <br/><br/>There seems to be false advertising as bags of eureka is used as display props.

The guilt kicked in....just realised I've been enjoying the very nibbly nibbles here since earlier this year and didn't share the nibbly feedback 🙈<br/>It's a problem finding a place like this when you don't live nearby because you find all sorts of reasons to dart back. I'm not normally a quiche person but I've started overeating on these super fresh varieties. The ciabatta bread is 1 of two JHB breads I'll fight over and this wins the race. The Lindt Choc cookies are amazing (according to colleagues, customers ...and me). Oh yes, and the staff are pleasant too 🙂 Still need to nibble on the tarts.

My hubby comes home one day and he has crumbs on his collar..demanding to know where he has been elicits a huge grin and he happily declares that he has found the most amazing patisserie ever.<br/><br/>Loaded up the whole family and off we went to the shop, which is located in Northlands Deco Park. My hubby was like an energiser bunny hopping excitedly between the chubby beef pies, elegant custard slices and pointing out the shelves of bread and croissants.<br/><br/>We walked out laden with:<br/>Custard slices- only made Friday's and Saturday's. All I can say is that if the world had to stop turning after eating one of these I would consider my bucket list ticked and completed..<br/>Chocolate Ganache - I would climb over Brad Pitt to lay my hands on another slice.<br/>Chocolate Brownies - nothing like the ones the girls scouts made..simply heavenly.<br/>Carrot cake- I consider this the only effective way to eat my veggies<br/>Beef and chicken pies- these have raised the bar and my taste buds would strangle me if I ever showed them a Woolworths option again.<br/><br/>The staff were so attentive and their suggestions were spot on! I also love the little outside eating area where we merrily spilled crumbs every where..<br/><br/>

After all the brilliant reviews I have read on a number of foodie sites I was really looking forward to a Saturday breakfast at this spot. Unfortunately, I did not realize that this place is more suited to take-away as the staff appeared annoyed to be serving me even though only one other table was occupied. The croissant was probably the best I've tasted in Joburg but the cold cappuccino (which arrived without a teaspoon) and hospitality  left a bad taste. I will be sure to never return.

Recently we have been on the prowl for good baked cheesecake. We have probably been to a good handful of places and so far this cheesecake comes out on top. Would love this place to offer hot chocolate at some stage. It would make my experience perfect. Will be back to try their custard slice which I have heard is just as good as the cheese cake

We have been doing work in the area and deco park over the years and if it's delectable your after then Cheryl Amy Jones is the place to be.<br/>Weather it's to sit down and spoil your sweet tooth or to grab something on the run or to purchase a cake or treats for a function then this is the SPOT <br/>You will be charged more than most patisseries, but you will not be disappointed, so for that special treat, I can recommend Cheryl.

Chancing upon Amy's bakery while in Decor Park proved to be a pleasant surprise. Walking in one is hit with a whiff of freshly baked goods ... A smell that is sorely lacking in most bakeries <br/><br/>I had a slice of both their carrot cake and an orange almond cake. Both were equally delicious but my favorite was the carrot cake that was moist, tasty and delectable. <br/>Their chocolate chip cookies ( the size of a hockey puck ) are hasn't as nice. <br/><br/>My only gripe is that I found some products to be fairly pricy ... I can understand the pricing for the cakes but the quiche at over R200

Cheryl Amy Jones is perfection. Their biscuits are decadent and morish! They even have bread making courses. It's small and unique. Definitely needs a visit once a week

So it turns out I've been eating the biscuits from this little bakery for ages. Every time I visited my mum she would always have a packet of the Cheryl Amy Jones biscuits next to the tea cups. And I've finally discovered where she has been getting them from. Now I can finally have my own stash to snack on. But it's not only biscuits in the bakery that are delicious, the selection of pastries that are freshly prepared on the premises are simply divine, and if you aren't that fond of all the sweet things, there is a wide variety of quiches to pick from as well (that are very generous portions). I definitely think it's worth the visit, even if it's a little off the main road.

I dont understand why Cheryl Amy has such a low rating. Sure, the decor is basic, ambience leaves alot to be desired but you need to see it for what it is. Its a bakery that sells coffee, not a coffee shop that sells baked goods. <br/><br/>Their Baked stuff is amazing, Some of the best I've ever eaten. <br/><br/>I reccomend the following: Meringues, Pain Au Chocolat, Muffins (specifically the Carrot & raisin muffin with orange zested cream cheese and toasted pecans as well as the banana muffin with hazelnut praline chocolate ganache). I've yet to try the cakes. The hot cross buns they made for easter were the best I've ever had, I even bought a box for my mother and my girlfriends mother.<br/><br/>Its a bit pricey but honestly some of the best I've ever eaten. I cannot recommend this bakery enough.

It's a little out the way and the decor or atmosphere is nothing special. But you'll be back again and again for the food. Delicate buttery pastry, quiches packed with fillings and possibly the best chocolate cookie I have ever had. <br/>I wish they were more centrally located so I could get there in time for a freshly baked croissant (all gone by lunch time). <br/>I'll go back to restock my pantry

Ambiance and decor is so-so. But that's anyway beside the point.  The whole focus is on baked goodies ... cookies, biscuits, cakes, breads, croissants, tarts ...<br/><br/>My Americano was nice and strong.  You HAVE TO try the Salted Caramel Pecan Cheesecake!!!!!  Oh gosh.  Its got that perfect balance of sweet and salty.  Amazing!!!!!<br/><br/>I will have to go back and sample the other cakes ... maybe the chocolate mousse ... <br/><br/>There was a pear frangipani tart that also looked really good!

Fantastic bakery - fresh and delicious pastries, you have to try the pain au chocolat. It is perfect. While mostly a place to take your goods and run, there is a small seating section for a scrumptious lunch. The service is lovely and there's a wide variety of baked goods for any occasion. You can even buy frozen pies if you're not in the mood to make dinner. A bit expensive, but totally worth it. Highly recommend.
